Let me count the mistakes you mentioned 1) The reason why the outside water and waste water pipes are seen on the buildings was because they were initially built with no services ,, This is a completely false statement . This is a well known procedure in old buildings , you can find it in England , in France , in the USA , and all other countries . 2) Your statement (livin in Cairo is insane) . Over 20 millions are living in Cairo and they got accustomed to the way of life there , If you find it strange , that because you belong to other society who have different rules ,, keep you rules to your country , and don't critisise other people's rules and culture , 3) You highlighted that Cairo is not clean , some parts of Cairo may have some problems , but you should not extend a problem here or there to the whole city , this is unfair, I saw. Many videos in LA , USA where the homeless sleeps on the side walks in hundreds , and trash is spread all over the place, but of course this is a local problem that can not be considered as if it's wide spread , There are many pleasant neighbourhoods in Cairo ,, If you want to be fair you should have filmed everything and not only showed the bad side of Cairo Cairo and the Egyptians deserve more respect from you ,, I'm really shocked and frustrated from this video 😟

I was there with UN Canadian peacekeeping forces in 74. Although the war was over taxi drivers and others continued to drive at night with their headlights painted over or they just briefly flipped them on/off when needed. It made for some wild rides. Found the people friendly.

This guy and Olga, went to the ugliest places in Cairo. There are much more beautiful places and not only Heliopolis, where they did not even show the real beautiful buildings and villas. What about Zamalek, Garden City, Maadi etc. The beautiful parks, the corniche etc.. etc.. this is the worst representation of Cario I have ever seen.

@@salomastation6004 Also the idea that she chose to wear the niqabl simply to feel comfortable is a joke as tons of women are not even wearing the hijab in Cairo. Its true that there are bad sides, however they're only focusing on the bad sides to exaggerating it to the worst depiction.

Subway is surprisingly clean and modern looking, I gotta say
If you can drive in Egypt, you gonna be able to drive any where in the world

Bazaar is always the right place to feel how local people live, and since it's a little distance away from streets of dust and noise, consider it a good option to accommodate near a bazzar for a short trip, my advice:)
They are developing backwards. The city seems like an absolute shithole.
you lack wisdom and understanding. After 3 thousand years ruling the world, Egypt developed civilization bring the world out of ignorance and darkness. Taking a cheap shot or are you just a hater like this miserable pig of a TH-camr here? Have some respect for Egypt, The mother of the world. BS. most of Egypt is like that
I didn't quite like the too much critisism here but somehow this video describes my 5 months of living in egypt. And yeah crossing streets is my worst nightmare.. Also the trash and smell, flies, street dogs, sand everywhere getting inside my shoes

Why did she take you to such disguesting places? Not all Cairo is like that.

what an incredible vlog! this is what every video coverage of places should be. entertaining and very informative at a personal and intimate way. unlike most other fancy videos of touristic travels and sweet commentaries, Ilya's videos are down to earth and realistic, even though these places may not be pleasing to the eyes, they tell us the truth in a humanely way. well done 👍👍👍
but there are other cities here which is not crowded and gated compounds
but those are newly built community

I love Olga! What an amazing woman!
Extremely missrepresenting, a lot inaccurate information from olga , and "when civilization came" really? I'm from Cairo and i don't like it a lot because of how crowded and noisy, but i can see how his choosing to avoid anything good in it, per example when he was showing the old tram car he was actually in the garden of an indian style palace , across the street from an islamic style palace serounded by villa's and the baron hotel but he choose to close up on just that to avoid showing all of that , the intention is clear
So is he supposed to show only the miniscule part of what's good in Cairo? Are you kidding? He is not employed by the tourism board of Egypt or something. You are at the wrong place buddy. It's a miserable country and there is no point in hiding all the horror and the hurt
Shes going on about dangerous roads but her beautiful baby is loosly bouncing around on her lap , second she doesnt have to wear a hijab but she is safer as a women then goes on how safe it is for women , she is full of contradiction, you need another guide i dont trust her views .
It is not common to use baby seats and they believe that death can come anytime, with or without baby seat. Then she wears niqab because she feels safe from street harassement, but she points out that women are protected against domestic violence and can file for a divorce easily
Two things could be true at the same time you know

Born and raised in Cairo, this is considered a part of Cairo, mainly urban part of the capital this is relatively small part. I know that part of the show to try to tease people to comment more being controversial, btw I put my kids in car seats newborn till 11 yo, billiard is not just because of English people, you have to check your statistics about accidents in Germany compared to Egypt, and no you don’t have to wear this face cover to live in Cairo, me my family and everyone i know does not. Lived in Egypt for a bit, spoke in universities, I was also studying Arabic and linguistics. I'm Japanese who enjoyed my time in Cairo. Your way of speaking is so condescending. You mentioned cars on parked on the sides, AC hanging from buildings... as if those things do not exist in Japan as well? Interesting you mention the garbage and noise when I've experienced worse in New York.
I agree that Egypt needs a lot of work, and that there is a lot of suffering, but your manner of explaining things is simply disrespectful and patronizing - especially when you mention Olga's beliefs. Tokyo has tourist scams too. Paris and Barcelona has a lot of pickpockets. No country is perfect.
Is this about Egypt or about Olga and her life ? There is many beautiful clean and modern areas but you seem to focus on all the negatives.
For example you can do a tour about New York City in Harlem. And finally why you keep going back to Egypt ??

Let me count the mistakes you mentioned
1) The reason why the outside water and waste water pipes are seen on the buildings was because they were initially built with no services ,, This is a completely false statement .
This is a well known procedure in old buildings , you can find it in England , in France , in the USA , and all other countries .
2) Your statement (livin in Cairo is insane) .
Over 20 millions are living in Cairo and they got accustomed to the way of life there , If you find it strange , that because you belong to other society who have different rules ,, keep you rules to your country , and don't critisise other people's rules and culture ,
3) You highlighted that Cairo is not clean , some parts of Cairo may have some problems , but you should not extend a problem here or there to the whole city , this is unfair,
I saw. Many videos in LA , USA where the homeless sleeps on the side walks in hundreds , and trash is spread all over the place, but of course this is a local problem that can not be considered as if it's wide spread ,
There are many pleasant neighbourhoods in Cairo ,, If you want to be fair you should have filmed everything and not only showed the bad side of Cairo
Cairo and the Egyptians deserve more respect from you ,,
I'm really shocked and frustrated from this video 😟
