Why don't you solder the Caddx Vista direkt to the lipo? Caddx vista has a voltage Input Range from 7.4V - 26.4V. So no need for a metak BEC. I personal can not recommend these fc standoffs. In formers times Kiss needed to be hardmounted, did this change with Kiss Ultra? Nice trick coating the soldering, i will give it a try.
You are right, it would probably be fine to just use lipo pads for vista, I do so for my 4s quads. I guess it’s just to be extra safe that it won’t be damaged by some voltage spike on 6s. Kiss ultra recommends specifically these impulse rc standoffs because they are stiff yet provide crash / impact protection. You don’t want to use gummies but hard mount is risky in case of a crash
Those are race wires, they are just flat traces in a board that replaces motor wires. they are abit more resilient to propeller strikes then motor wires, but for me the main reason is to more easily change motors, dont have to solder ESC anymore can just solder to this race wire :) No need to add them now, but can add them when you need to change motor for example.
Hey man sorry for late answer, I think it would be very very tight with 8 cm cable. Maybe its possible but maybe cable would have too much tension against stack somehow. if there was a 10cm cable would be perfect.
Hey, thanks :) I don’t have a setup guide but it is kiss ultra fc and so I just used default settings for pids. No tuning needed outside of setting these defaults
@@GeKoFPV kiss ultra comes setup? This is exciting if true! I’m also going to fly some really big cliffs this weekend. So even if they’re really big as long as I’m in view and keep the flightpath, I will basically be good? (Just looking for some confidence boosters lol.)
@@babyzfpv1234 yea, setting up with kiss ultra is easy. Just have to follow steps that configurator tells you exactly and load the default preset. Follow the wiring diagram on the wiki. I think you are right, as long as you are in line of sight of drone you should have good video. Having a long ish antenna on the quad can help so that it cannot be obscured by the quad itself. Have fun!
Glad you built it well. Nice to see build videos with Voltara :)
Thanks a lot :)
💋
Your drones are so cool nice video👍
Saw this copter in action yesterday, great build
@@eightiesfpv cheers man! :)
This is the way! Great build and top soldering. This is a build vid the community can use. Daumen hoch 🎉👍
danke danke :D
Top video! Enjoyed watching 👍

@@GeKoFPV okay thats a good reason, never thougt about that. thanks for the Response.
@@AxelFolie-w6d i am making those standoffs on order with special material. :) they work best with ultra.
nice build mate. nice maiden!!!! glad u like it!
Sick homie . I love Pirat
Piratframes are the best man I have a few and love them
what are those things you put between ESC and motors? i just finished my quad and i didnt get those things .. Should i add them?

Great build and first rip bro! 🔥💪 I need those cap ends you are using and the solder jig 🤣👍
cheers! Yea that solder jig is pretty helpful! can even apply good amount of pressure on big ESC lipo pads and it hold the thing in place
Such a good video, well done. Pro build skills, super clean, and killer rip. Ultra gang 💪🔥
thanks a lot man!
I just started flying the shorty. I love it.
Yea I’ll have to try that once I get through all the spare hook v2 parts I have ;)
Why no Nylon Lock Nuts for the stack screws?
It saves 1-2mm on stack height, I wanted more room for lipo strap. But nyloc would be most secure for sure
Also you need a smoke stopper for first plugging in 😅
Haha yes I tested with multimeter so yolo!
Right on man! Nice build
Thanks dude!
very nice build
Very clean build. Bet it‘s a ripper
Thanks :)
can use ser4 on bottom side of fc ;)
yea true! I think I had coated the bottom of FC first so the top pads were easier in this case :)
Can you use a 80mm coax mipi cable on the hook v2?

Do you have a setup/tuning guide
For this. I’d like to try what you fly.
