MIXTA-B MARVELOUS MIC, I actually had that happen to me in real life. I was giving a platonic female friend a ride. Went to the passenger side of the car and unlocked and opened the door for her. Went around the back and saw her unlock my door, because of the movie. When I got in, we talked about it. I told her she should share that with her buddy, my wife at the time. Common courtesy is lacking in this society and this country. Another female I was randomly talking to said, " My grandfather told me it doesn't cost anything to be kind." What a STATEMENT!! I said to her that her grandfather is a wise man. God bless all.
Me and my friends did as well... jokingly of course. We had watched the movie on DVD at my house on my 46" projection TV when we were probably about 18 years old. Just watched half of this …I’ll watch the rest tomorrow…I met Lillo in Carlos restaurant in Yonkers years ago…I spotted him sitting next to my family….very nice guy …I did feel a magnetic feeling coming from him…it filled the room in a positive way…👍
What's funny is that his character could have easily avoided death by simply blaming his friend who shot at Christopher (who Christopher killed). His was the one who started shooting, he could have just said that he started shooting back too when Christopher kept shooting simply out of fear and that he did not know that his friend was planing to shoot Christopher. And just reacted out of fear of Christopher when he kept running. Christopher might have coroborated his story afterwards, since he also saw that it was the other guy who started shooting, and Christopher could have said that he might have been right, since he kept shooting at both of them once the bullets started flying :P
The Bronx Tale was a great film and I loved De Niro playing a role different to what we're used to. I also loved the life lessons throughout the film including the part with the black girl. Sadly I remember reading about Lillo at the time but it looks like things are better for him now.
True. Someone still owes me money. It’s just 30 bucks so I can just leave it and never see this lying motherless prick again. But I gotta admit one thing: if it’s like 500 dollars then I wouldn’t act like this.. i mean I couldn’t just swallow it..

An OG told me a couple things as a kid .1 you have 2 eyes and 2 ears and 1 mouth. See and hear twice as much as you talk. 2nd thing is more important you don't have to make mistakes to learn from them. Mr Franzese and Mr Brancato are hammering these valuable lessons home.
@@bniisantos Oh stop it...it's a very common typo, and this is only TH-cam, not a professional work setting or school term paper. 😄 At a prior job, my manager would constantly misspell my colleague Brian's name as "Brain" in emails addressing him. @@peggypasson8794 true enough. though i wish i was 1 of thoughs young kids, not so much the drug thing, just the young thing
Michaels interviewing is a lot stronger than I thought it would be , his questions and ability to let the other person talk while engaging would make you think he’s been doing it for years
Remember when Tyson interviewed Him? Tyson kept interrupting every two seconds lmao. I was getting frustrated for the guy.
Seriously he’s a great interviewer. Totally natural and u can tell he’s really sincere
I'm sure his ability to listen & engage served him well in the day & made him so successful.Great skill no matter your occupation 👍
100% facts. Unlike other interviewers like Vlad TV that keep interrupting their guests.
Glad i grew up on this movie. Cant watch this movie without letting out a tear. Damn i miss my pops.
Past is the past, none of us can change what’s already done unfortunately.
Brilliant interview Michael 👍🏻
@Michael Franzese I love the fact that when you tell a story about your past life you don't glorify it you always have a good takeaway from good or bad situations.
I love the movie A Bronx Tale, lovely movie.
De Niro and Palminteri are legends.
Awesome sit down! Saw A Bronx Tail on Broadway as well as the movie. Brilliant. Great to experience two guys who have turned their lives around 🙏
Respect from the uk 🇬🇧
Just watched half of this …I’ll watch the rest tomorrow…I met Lillo in Carlos restaurant in Yonkers years ago…I spotted him sitting next to my family….very nice guy …I did feel a magnetic feeling coming from him…it filled the room in a positive way…👍
“Ya gotta hide me Richie, I’m wit you now”
I'll HELP you!!⚾️🏏
"WHO TOLD YOU TO DO THAT?!"
LOOOL I think that's the funniest scene in Sopranos.
@lockstam Exactly. The Skip never would've bought that story. Haha
He is the perfect example of the old adage, "You can take the boy out of the gutter but you can't take the gutter out of the boy".
@Parris Robinson Exactly....money doesn't change you, it just enhances what you already are.
The Bronx Tale was a great film and I loved De Niro playing a role different to what we're used to. I also loved the life lessons throughout the film including the part with the black girl. Sadly I remember reading about Lillo at the time but it looks like things are better for him now.
Michael is such a great talker, he always knows what the next sentence is he is going to say, I'm usually not that good and end up stuttering 😂😂
Just say what's on your heart.
Huge fan of this guy.
I just watched Bronx tale yesterday and that movie has a million lessons to be learned from.
That 20$ quote is one of life’s best lessons.
Yep..I've said it to other people like I was the one who thought of it lol...but truly so many life lessons in that movie...one of my fav movies ever
I agree.so true..
It’s $50. Sorry!
True. Someone still owes me money. It’s just 30 bucks so I can just leave it and never see this lying motherless prick again. But I gotta admit one thing: if it’s like 500 dollars then I wouldn’t act like this.. i mean I couldn’t just swallow it..
@@tonylovesducks2501 in the 6o’s $50 was like 500 dollars.
I would like to say something that really touches me in this video: when he crosses himself. Now I am a Muslim, but when I see people doing this, that means he has God, he has a GOOD soul in himself. That makes me liking this guy even more
I've always wondered why I never saw this guy in other movies.. I really like this guy. Much love to him and you Michael
Sapranos.. Two classics!
Great 👍 sitdown .... just a little part saying he is Sicilian.... He was adopted born in Colombia 🇨🇴...... raised by an Italian family... glad he turn it around for the most part .... and yes BRonx tale is one of my favorites... I was Born in the Bronx .
Yes !!!! He wasn't aicilian
This guy is a good actor. Glad you guys had this sit down.
I see what you did there.
@@lawrenceredfilm8650 😋😋😁
When he got shoot in the sopranos, that "mommy mommy" was so good... That part was the cherry on top of that episode, a award winning level...
That bothered me to my core the first time I saw it. Something really raw and disturbing about it. This was when it originally aired.
Robert De Niro was the perfect actor for this film!!! 💯💯💯. Thanks for another upload Micheal.
what about lillo brancato

Micheal? Are you dyslexic?
@@bniisantos Oh stop it...it's a very common typo, and this is only TH-cam, not a professional work setting or school term paper. 😄
At a prior job, my manager would constantly misspell my colleague Brian's name as "Brain" in emails addressing him. Spell check ofc wouldn't pick it up, and the manager was too lazy or careless to notice and correct it.
One day, he got fuggin fed up, and wrote back to her one sentence: "Rebecca, my name is BRIAN". It worked, she never called him Brain again. 🤣
Bronx Tale is such a classic! So many things I still refer to today... the car door test, the $20 loan, you’s cant leave, waste of talent, working mans a sucker... everytime i lose a bet i send my bookie a gif of mush at the racetrack
Yeah but the cars nowadays have automatic locks now. You can't even do a car test like that anymore unless you still have a classic car.
The $20 loan is my favorite story, I use it a lot with my kids.
The brilliance of this movie was, it a mob movie, or a growing up movie, merging the two so seamlessly.
"Saddest thing in life is wasted talent" Ironic how his life played out like the movie. Glad hes back doing well. My favorite movie.
I also remember Brancato from smaller roles in Crimson Tide and Enemy of the State.
And the sopranos
Oh shit he’s in enemy of the state? I love that movie haven’t watched it in years might have to watch it soon
Loved him in Crimson Tide. When he hangs up on Denzel is just great how that all unfolds
Crimson Tide is a great movie 🍿
enemy of the state...oh boy were the makers of that movie really trying to tell us something or what? sheesh. that movie is basically a documentary at this point
“Try and get up every morning day after day and work for a living let’s see him try that! The working man is the tough guy your father’s the tough guy!” #AbronxTale #LifeLessons
This may be the best interview you've done so far PLEASE don't stop !
Thank you so much for your podcast sir. I just discovered it and I’m hooked. This is the best American history lesson that young kids today could ever learn.
One of the greatest movies ever made hands down
excellent sit down. Really interesting
👀
I love how you called it a “sit down”
Facts really good he’s such a good actor Lillo
Lol his De Niro impression was 100% spot on, I couldn't stop laughing... 🤣😁😂
Fantastic, respectful interview. Lillo is such an open and likeable guy, totally upfront about his problems, problems which many of us have experienced. Excellent content, thank you.
This dude went on a journey and I’m glade to see he turned his life around.
One of my favourite movies, the Bronx tale. Watching from south Africa.
@BigDaddyCool42 What a loser
@BigDaddyCool42 I don't think you ever heard of south Africa hey. You should do some research.
I broke up with my gf because she failed the car door lock test. Now we are married with 3 kids. She won
Sounds like you both won Bud
Should've tried the Mario Test instead.
@@r.r.kovacs2522 she failed that one too.
@@r.r.kovacs2522 😂😂😂😂
@@r.r.kovacs2522 "Mario? Mario is a fuckin psycho why do you listen to this kid for?"
his facial expressions are spot on Robert De Niro.
Man also worked alongside Denzel Washington, Gene hackman and Viggo Mortensen in crimson tides. He fixed the transmitter that saved the movie.
I was heartbroken and upset to see the path he went through
He came out the other end and he’s turned his life around. A very inspiring story.
The bike scene in Bronx Tale was from a real life situation that happened with Sonny Franzese, Michael’s father. Everybody go watch a docu-series that a TH-cam channel ‘Newsday’ has come out with about the life of Sonny Franzese it’s brilliant!
Trust me, that has happened in many areas or certain boroughs in NYC. SOME were not welcomed in certain areas!
No it wasn't. It was Chaz palminteris life. It's an actual altercation he saw happen.
@@keithcosentino4581 Yes, but how do we know this was or was not based on Sonny F., as portrayed by Chaz.
Most know it was based on Chaz's life and what he witnessed when he was young but that does not mean this bar scene was not based on Sonny.
Think about it , Chaz's character was named Sonny. Coincidence?
I can't pick one scene that I liked the most, so I bought the DVD. Now I'm watching Lillo, it doesn't get better than that! Thank ❤ 💛 you!!!
Yo when he did the Robert DeNiro expression. 😆 So accurate
we are truly blessed to have both Michael and Lillo doing this. rarely we've seen actual real mob bosses or former ones willing to actually entertain us and give us an insight of how rough the life works back in those days but damn.. we are all blessed here to see you Mr. Franzese.
I've been wanting to hear him talk about that night for quite some time now. Thanks again, Michael. I never get tired of your TH-cam channel.
Right before you said Lilo looked like Deniro (when he turned and made the face), I was thinking the exact same thing!
Another fantastic interview. I remember watching this play out in real life and remember feeling so bad for Lillo. I’m glad it looks like things have turned around for this guy.
so glad he got over drugs and is in the place he is today. gonna have to rewatch this classic again
I really enjoyed this sit down. I’d love to see Lillo make a appearance in your up coming TV series Michael. This is the best channel on TH-cam in my opinion.
