      I think he was in the right organization, I am a huge Steelers fan . They know how to bring young players along in the NFL. I truly believe he would have eventually been our started and even a franchise Quarterback. I loved to watch him throw the ball. So sad, RIP. Seemed like a great young man.

    I'm glad he talked about saving 70% of his post-tax earnings and how he quickly learned to say no to friends and family asking for money. I pray that his financial advisor is not a crook like so many athletes advisors have turned out to be. ie Kevin Garnett, etc. I also hope that he is investing in the stock market, mutual funds, etc.

He probably does not have that much right now (relatively speaking) in terms of liquidity based off of what we know of his contract and the information we have in this video. Most people with a decent job will surely make more money in their lifetime than what he currently has, and it is reasonable to think anyone with a good career who is smart with their finances may presently have more money on hand than him. You certainly do not need to be a pro athlete to make a lot of money. PLENTY of money out there to go around. plus Pro players who don't get the mega second contract go broke all the time too.

    I’m a Michigan fan, so I always rooted against Haskins in college. And I’m a Washington NFL fan, so I thought he was a failure for us….a bad pick. But seeing what a good guy he is, and his horrific death, I’m just sick. Tears in my eyes. You realize sports is just sports, and these guys are human beings. Young kids most of them.     One of my favorite ones had to come back to watch again.... My son is balling , as a buckeye family and him being 13 Haskins was his first favorite athlete and first death he ever had any connection with.
    One thing I told him as we watched this was always be grateful for what you have and health, 99% of ppl just 72 hours ago would of gave anything to change lives with him young, healthy, millionaire and living the dream now just a day or so later absolutely no one would want to change lives, in short again just appreciate the small things that matter the most.

He's wearing a custom made watch. Just like his chain cost $10,000 but if he tried to sell it he'll probably only get $4,500-5,000 for it. Because its harder for a shop to sell custom pieces.
