PJ - and everyone who has commented on the video! You are an inspiration. Too many of us are ashamed to admit how we feel about our bodies, and when we enter middle age (I'm 62) it's like we're swimming against the tide! So true, so true that our bodies are simply vessels to hold the beauty within. It doesn't really matter what we look like (although we're bombarded with messages telling us otherwise). I am working on changing my own negative talk every day, and I really appreciate the humility and honesty shared here. Thank you, PJ, for getting this convo started!!

Thank you PJ, I think most women can relate to this at some point in their lives. Middle age did a number on me and my body changed quite a bit. Its so bizarre. Like pregnancy except no baby lol
Oh well, im turning 60 this year. I figure I've made it this far, in the 3rd chapter of life. I know many never lived to see this day, so even though I have a closet full of clothes that barely fit, I'm learning to be grateful for being 60, healthy and strong. Great video, keep em coming 👏 ❤

Great video PJ! I’m so tired of feeling awful in my own body, even though I work out regularly. I would love to go from not looking in the mirror to celebrating looking and feeling good about myself ❤

I've struggled with this all my life, and still do to some degree. I'm my biggest critic, but I'm trying really hard to love me in my late fiftys and focus on my health and get stronger and will be exercising with you as long as I can. Can't wait to see the next episode!!

I love Urban Rack! I live not far from there. I also share in your struggle about self-image, and have had the same experience of looking back at old pictures and wishing I knew that I was ok then, and I know that in 10 years I'll feel the same when I look back at how I look now. I also love how fashion can help you look and feel your best. Thanks for such an inspiring video!!

I love this. I've recently started following a few women on Tiktok to help me with styling. I'm so tired of my pandemic comfy clothes and I want to start looking more pulled together. It's a little difficult, since concert tshirts and jeans are my "uniform" and not wearing jeans everyday is a bit out of my comfort zone, but I'm pushing myself to look more polished, it honestly does make you look at yourself, differently, in the mirror. Any help I can get is a positive!

Boy, did you hit the nail on the head with this video. I am finding it difficult to navigate a comfortable style for myself at almost 56, including hair and don’t get me going on all the facial changes. As a much taller than average lady who is naturally thin I can tell you that we are not exempt from unwanted comments about our appearance either. “Too skinny”, always “too” something, “you look sick!” Seriously. It’s almost as if it’s open season to say dumb sh@t to people who are outside of what’s considered regular or average in society. Let’s stop this and celebrate our strength!

Thank you for the video, PJ. I enjoyed the styling tips, and appreciate your share of past struggles with body image. I am among the many women who also, unfortunately, struggle with body image issues and developed an unhealthy relationship with food. Bulimia was something that I engaged with from about 14 years old until I was well into my 20's, but my body image issues started at about age 12 or so. And as you said, it is fucking exhausting having spent the majority of my life (I'm now in my early 40's) battling negative thoughts about my body. It really is. And I don't want to give up on myself, but I also don't want to always feel "not good enough". I came upon your videos about 7 months or so ago, and girl, they are a refreshing change from what I've been used to. Thank you for making exercise fun, convenient, and effective. I am so grateful for you.

Thank you so much for your honesty. I applaud your courage and willingness help others with your transparency. I also struggled with an eating disorder in my teens and 20's before recovering and the mental struggle is still there in my 50's. There are some days that I have my "fat eyes" on all day and it is hard. But I am finding being healthy and strong is better than being a walking skeleton any day and I am happier now than I ever was when I was starving.

Hi PJ! What a video! Just fantastic! I developed aneroxia at the age of 12 weighing 97 or less pounds by the age of 16 -17 years old. I literally starved myself. It was a difficult time and nothing I thought or did made me feel better. I really don’t know how I got over it but after my son was born, things changed internally and focusing on my son took over. Now at the age 52 I still want to lose a few pound not much but being healthy and strong is more important to me. I now weight 120 pounds and focusing on losing 5 pounds in a healthy way. Thank you for reading. Love and light to you my dear. 💕

How refreshing to hear the testimony of a personal trainer. I love your videos and find your strength and energy amazing. You look TERRIFIC!!
I have always struggled with my weight too. I became anorexic in high school. I got better in my 20s. In my 50's I was in the best shape of my life! Then I hit 60, now Im 66. I can't believe how impossible it is to lose weight. Im staying level, but can't lose weight. Im close to my pregnancy weight when I was 27. Ugggg.
Glad to have your videos to help. And I eat carbs too! 🎉

You are right! I was looking at old pictures of myself as a teenager and realized I did look good even though I did not at the time. The only thing I do not miss, is my 80's hairstyle! What was I thinking??? That's my issue, I have wavy hair and it's hard to find a good cut that flatters me. Thanks for doing this, looking forward to part 2.

Great advice! My story was quite different. In my teens I was super skinny! I ate whatever I wanted and never gained weight. Unfortunately, all my friends were "shapely" and I felt ugly for being different! Now, I realize that I'm me, I'm super old, and I love the way I look now! Plus, thanks to PJ, I'm damn fit for an old lady!!

Any clothes that hide the stomach love handles bat wings everything will do me. I never dress up because I cannot STAND HOW I LOOK I can't look at myself in mirrors I have mirrors but they are covered and stay that way as for photos I cringe
That's me like you I am 14 stone (196 pounds) never in my life have I ever been this heavy and I'm 44 years old.
I don't do fashion at all I just use clothes to cover up the bulges.
But thank you PJ for this video you have and always will have more confidence in this department than I ever will

I SO admire what you are doing. This is vitally important. Your story sounds like mine. I still, honestly, cannot accept my flaws and my viewpoint is so engrained that I can't really imagine any other women not thinking about themselves in this way. Just truly accepting themselves as they are. It is totally exhausting, especially when you add the burden of 'not enough' from career expectations too.

Or those times I put my phone in selfie mode...why do those cameras make us look soooo bad!!! And now I want a vest like Caylie has. If I can pull off that look! And your trench!
