@10:57. The client and the principal definitions sound the same to me. The principle is in a contract which is a signed agreement yet the client is in a signed agreement
Just like Dual Agency, enough states allow it to where it shows up on the National exam. Yes, if it shows up on your State exam the answer is "is illegal" if not legal in your state.
@bestrealestatecareer I am in Colorado as well. I actually originally found your channel from the state practice videos and they have been extremely helpful as well. I would be interested in attending that one if possible. And my plan is to attempt the test in about 3 weeks
@@sandracastillo5664 yes, they are legal in California. This subject will come up on the National side of the exam. Since most states allow net listings they will be on the exam. Net listings can lead to conflicts of interest because the agent's commission is not set and instead is the difference between the asking price and the selling price which is going to the a form of the answer around a net listing Q.
@@ryanalquist5557 this is for the National exam. It does not matter if your state allows it. Its a question around the concept not the legality of your state.

For all purposes for your exam the client & principal should be interchangeable. Unless they are talking about the "Principal Broker".

Net listings are only legal if your state allows it.

Net listing is legal?
Yes, a net listing is legal. The quiz might say "legal yet may entice the agent to act unethical"
@@bestrealestatecareerNot in all States right? For example in California if it is.
