I love this game. The board could be bigger, yes but i have fun with it. I played it in Essen last week and like Sam i dismissed it until i played it. Bought it and had the artist draw a nice bunny on the inside of the lid. Awsome game.
I can definitely understand the criticisms on the way the components all come together, in spite of being,well-done individually. I wouldn't have even considered that aspect until the guys made it a talking point. The gameplay sounds fantastic, but I feel like I'd end up weighing it against the cost of third party "companion" components that help to clean up the clutter.
They made the board bigger for the second edition. But the could have made it even a bit bigger still, heh. But it's functional now. Where they're right: The last time you score it takes quite a while. For one, the areas are much bigger and there are tiles that weirdly connect them. And then you have endgame scoring. Roughly a third of the cards are endgame scoring cards, so everybody has a ton. That said, the game is great and a lot of fun. The only flaw I see in the game is the two endgame scoring cards that let you copy another scoring card. Because in theory that makes you go through all the scoring cards of your neighbor and see which one's best for you. It feels like they could have been dropped and no one would miss them.
I heard this was originally themed as a game about dwarves and mining. I know the fantasy theme is overused, but I kinda wish this had stayed with it. Dwarves are my favorite fantasy race, and I've found far too few games that make great use of them. Otherwise, this sounds fun, and since I know Sam likes it, and his and my tastes are normally pretty on par together, I would definitely take a look at this one. Not to mention it's Richard Garfield, so that also is points in its favor.
Billy Snyder Haha! I read this comment before I watched the video. I've seen a few Zee reviews in that shirt, and I thought you were just being internet-weird.
I really don't understand the small board complaint I see it everywhere with this game.... Hardest part is a bunch of one bunny feifs for some of the treasure cards in end game, but you can add up row by row and it goes quick
Great video guys! The game looks like a lot of fun; however, I tend to be sensitive to color combinations, and I find the yellow, red, and pink colored bunnies a real eye sore, especially the yellow and red, harsh shades on the eyes, so my question is.... Do the colors of the bunnies go with specific cards? If not, I'm thinking I can buy this game, and then paint the red/yellow/pink bunnies more neutral colors such as gray, brown, and white.
Never been so excited for a game to come out! iello have so many great games. Would love to know how much playability the game has as it only has 1 board.
I can't help but think that if you're trying to put down one of those corner markers once the board is covered in bunnies there's going to be carnage. Imagine if all eight squares around the square you want have bunnies in them and you need to put one in the middle! Seems as difficult as Colt Express for the larger fingered.
Juan Pablo Zabala I see it as a mix of Kingdoms and Rose King with card drafting thrown in, which is interesting, because I'm a big fan of Rose King, but I just don't feel the pull for this game.
I was turned off to this game because I sat down to play it at a convention and the guy that was trying to teach it really had no idea what he was doing...he was just trying to get an extra draw in the “play to win” cup for it because you got an extra ticket for teaching the game. Half way through his explanation that was making no sense, I got up from the table and didn’t give the game a second thought...until I watched “surprises of 2017 again and saw it on Sam’s #1. Tell me how it is fellas!
The Bunny thematic is PERFECT. This is a game of the power of multiplication, and Bunnies know more than anyone about multiplications.
Two bunny ears up for the theme. It's unique and original. And the gameplay is awesome.
Zee hit it on the head with the same hang up I have on the game when I saw the size of board and how cluttered it looked.

They made the board bigger now
they did?

Fixed it: Reskin it as Matt Groening's Life is Hell where Bongo the bunny only has one ear.
Woa the board is even smaller than i thought!
Would love to meet these guys, too bad Im in europe. Great laid back reviews.
Yike, Zee. With all that talk about violence against bunnies, you must be a huge Watership Down fan.
I'd pick this up as an app.
Sounds like the game could use a print and play larger copy of the board.

I would love to see a Miami Dice on Stuffed Fables, I'm dying to know more about it!
MITER GOD VIBS

Sam: If it were Vikings, would you have loved it ?
05:33 - "...which is kind of a handy thing when you have the left glove. "I see what you did there, Tom.
For me it is the most interesting game this year so far
Bunnys are perfect 👌🏼

A roomier board is needed. And it needed to be bears Sam! URSINE KINGDOM!
So it sounds like a publishing issue rather than a design issue. Iello should have known better than to make the board too small.
I can see this game getting a second edition or picked up by another publisher and them making the board bigger and improving on the game itself.
They made the board bigger.
I do hope Zee's comment about bunnies in a box was a ConAir reference.
It reminds me of ACQUIRE... and a pinch of Carcassonne...

Totally agree with Zee. Selling my copy. Thats too bad, cause I really wanted to like Bunny Kingdom :(
Zee hitting the weights? Looking fit!
wolflarson71 the people's biceps?!
Can't wait to say hi to these three and see them in person finally at GenCon! :)
Maybe they should of done the bunnie ears down instead of up?
Surely Sam can understand as due to his hands he has a huge issue with colt express.
I really want to know how the decision was made to have such a small board. It's so tiny when you open the box
Why do bunnies need fish?
To fertilize their carrot fields.
They don't. They just harvest them for the halibut.

So, it is like Knizia´s Kingdoms with a drafting variant right?

This game is nothing like kingdoms lol

is this like acquire he boardgame
Someone posted a 2-player alternative to the Board Game Geek forum on the game, that people are seeming to like better than the "official" version.
C'mon Tom, in Redwall they're Hares, not Bunnies, (they don't even like being called Rabbits doncha know)
Josiah Davoli lllooppppjksj
Do you find their jokes very bunny ?
Seems like Mangrovia and Domaine.
Zulky Zee is in a mood today ;)
BUNNIES ARE EVIIIL! ;)
