    It's crazy how censored this video is. I understand why you're doing it but it really highlights how bad TH-cam has gotten. We can't even have a honest discussion about child predators, with TH-cam's current regulations for content creators. Maybe that was the whole point. It wasn't to protect kids. It was to protect the bad guys.

    Let's just make one thing really clear. There is no such thing as a "consenting minor". You cannot consent if you are a minor. Not fighting back or outright saying no doesn't equal consent. That's just coercion, manipulation, and grooming.

Laws are made to cater to them because they’re the ones paying the most taxes (money wise not percentage wise). The elite are funding politicians they want in office. They’re also bribing judges, DA’s, and police chiefs on top of having the best lawyers money can buy. It's funny (weird?) how panicked parents were in the '80s and '90s about "stranger danger" and kids being abducted, meanwhile the reality is that most kids get assaulted by someone they know. They really had no clue how to protect us, or even where they actual threat was coming from. I hope we can do better for the next generation by teaching them to not have secrets with any adults, and to have confidence in their bodily autonomy and ability to say no and leave uncomfortable situations .

    • @partysuvius
      @partysuvius 3 ปีที่แล้ว +198

      It’s more that we should teach kids what red flags are and what the flags mean. To watch out. Count flags, count the warning signals that their bodies give them. Children are highly perceptive and we NEED to shape their perception to become accurate and strong. That will be a defining feature of their childhood to help them for the rest of their lives. I know too many people whose senses were dulled by their parents, teachers, peers, etc. and they couldn’t reverse this dulling of their senses. Some people are drug or alcohol abusers and I wish I could help them.

      @@theoutsiderjess1869 exactly this! Parents would expect the worst from strangers but when little kids reveal that an uncle touched them inappropriately so many parents are quick to dismiss it as a lie. Kids have a hard time hiding their emotions, when they are in discomfort because of someone it's easy to tell but many parents choose to ignore obvious signs to protect someone they think they know. We really need to start telling people that a predator can be anyone, even someone that never did anything to you personally, even someone you like.
      Also kids have a hard time processing and explaining what happened to them in those situations, but when they really don't like being around some adults that make them uncomfortable in ways they don't quite know how to explain, parents tend to force them to comply and call them rude for not wanting to be touched.
      I believe that's also how those predators keep getting jobs in hollywood. Their friends don't take the accusors seriously because "he would never do that", meanwhile any child psychatrists would tell you the child accusing the guy is displaying obvious signs of trauma. People are more willing to believe that a child would deliver an oscar worthy performance and fool everyone, than to admit that adults are far better at lying and manipulating a child and also can have all sorts of sexual perversions.

    We really need a deep dive into Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen! There is so much to unwrap with their up bringing and their manager Robert Thorne.
    Edit: 2/14/2022 I did see they made a deep dive on them I watched it. It was pretty good. I am thinking of making my own deep dive that goes a little deeper and focuses more on Robert Thornes role.

      when it comes to child molestation/rape charges, it's much harder to convict. According to the Shreveport Times, The conviction rate according to some estimates is around 45-50%, and experts cite multiple reasons for the disparities in sentencing and conviction rates.
      One is that young children often are difficult witnesses because they include "fantastical" elements in their testimonies or they cannot give detailed, accurate information to investigators, said Dr. Sharon Cooper.
      Cooper, a forensic pediatrician who has provided expert testimony in more than 300 cases involving internet and child sexual abuse crimes, also said that forensic interviews of children may not show any physical evidence of abuse, as many children wait years to disclose.
      Contrast that with child pornography cases, where the conviction rate is close to 100%, because there is clear and concrete evidence in the form of the photo on the PC.

    The debate between how easy it is to say “no” to producers really intrigued me because it definitely reflects on who these child actors turned into. I think Dylan was right that anyone can just say no if they don’t want to do something, but the problem was a lot of disney channel stars felt owned by the company, almost stockholmed into staying loyal. that’s why we see so many disney channel stars have a flop era, because after leaving the channel they had to cope with the emotional trauma of what working for disney is really like. Actors like bella thorne, miley cyrus, and demi lovato brand themselves with themes of drugs and sex in an unhealthy effort to separate themselves from the “innocence” of children’s programming as much as possible. The difference between the sprouse twins and the various other child actors was the presence of support in their lives during their career. it’s super obvious that cole and dylan were very close as twins and posed as anchors to each other throughout their childhood, but other actors, especially those with controlling families such as the jonas brothers were forced to blindly listen to any adults’ bidding at an age where they couldn’t distinguish good treatment from bad treatment. I find it really disappointing that young actors are actively not taught how to care for their wellbeing and identify when enough is enough, meanwhile being completely neglected by their families as theyre obviously using them as a moneymaking machine. There should definitely be some sort of protocol that requires a third-party advisor and emotional counselor on sets with minors on it who can explain things like contracts in order to finally give child actors the power of choice over their own lives

      Well I bet when you they found out you actually had no talent, your worries about a lack of personal space, getting too much media attention and no time to pursue your passions or being worked like a dog would have come to fruition.
      But hey, I have an idea. We should totally cancel Disney. Cancel culture is where it's at today. OH wait, no, you Trump loving idiots (damn, how did I peg you guys as Trumpers? You don't even realize the immense lack of intellect you demonstrate in your comments) hate cancel culture so when your hypocrisy shines & you have to lie about your past and get on your high horse and judge entire INDUSTRIES (don't you dare f-ing ever watch a movie or show again if there is a child involved because of all of the dangers they are being put in & don't try to defend your stupid-ass because you made your rhetorical bed, so now you need to lay in it) to make a point, it's quite comical.

I really wanted to go into acting but my parents said no because the lessons were too much and yeah glad they didn't fall for that scam (and tbh they fall for scams a lot). He hadn't been prosecuted but there was no room for speculation because she literally had his baby. I found this out because he was inappropriate with me. He made me really uncomfortable and I looked him up. There was a news article about how he had been transferred from teaching at the high school after the board found out about his past. They thought it was somehow better to have him around 11 year-olds. When my parents confronted the school about what he was doing to me, all they did was move me to the class next door. Thank God he didn't bother me anymore after that, but they allowed him the opportunity to do it to other kids.

      At the highschool I dropped out of (because it was just honestly that bad), there was one teacher caught sexually abusing and grooming a student, and they still allowed him to work. He wasn't even convicted, the family got intimidated into dropping the charges, and the only thing the sicko lost is his wife. He continues to work there because he's a "good football coach" and brings in money, but his access to the football team AND his double duty as a history teacher is disconcerting to say the least. I had his class, and he was weirdly friendly with me in retrospect. In the moment I thought he was the "cool teacher". He let us curse, he let us have snacks and drinks in class, he was charismatic. That's the scary part.
