The Brothers Grimm had already straighten out the fairy tales... Rapunzel was pregnant In the original fairy tale: The shoes that were danced to pieces ... eleven applicants were already hanged, as the twelfth tried his luck, to get the daughter and so on
Rupunzle was actually pregnant that's why the witch cut her hair and banned her from the tower. She gave birth to twins. The prince didn't try and commit suicide rather the witch said some things like 'you snaked your way into her bed' she pushed him out the window but thorns broke his fall, but they pierced his eyes, causing him to be blind. He wandered the streets and heard rupunzles voice and two little kids and his eyesight was back.
Man. Every damn time. Winnie the Pooh's story gets me in the feels. Hard. I've always had such a huge soft spot for it and, as someone who suffers from a plethora of mental illnesses, I can absolutely see the striking similarities. Either way, I respect it.
The Pinocchio one is by far the most shocking to me and unknown to me, but now I’ve heard of its origins I feel like there was subtle hints in the Disney Film, such as in the into with the clocks there’s an inappropriate bit with a small child over an adults knee getting spanked, my mum actually pointed it out and said that she was surprised it wasn’t edited out on the DVD
As an Italian, I already knew the original story of Pinocchio. There’s also a live action film from 1972 which is more accurate. Fun fact: in the original version, we understand the fairy with turquoise hair is actually Geppetto’s dead wife, who had always wanted a son but never got it. And later, after Pinocchio got back from the Land of Toys ,he saw her grave which said she died cause her heart was literally broken
If you've read the book "Pinocchio" by Micheal Morpourgo, you'll know a lot about the original story. Pretty dark, but Micheal Morpourgo changed a lot, thankfully. The only really similar part is the theifs (However they are portrayed as animals) And Pinocchio being hanged, nearly dying, then being saved by the beautiful woman with blue hair, (Aka, the fairy)

Well in the stories they werent that bad and i could say this cause i have the original pinnochio book and he burns off his legs in it because he was cold and his dad was in jail I'm pretty sure haven't read it in awhile, Pinocchio gets cold and decides to put his legs over a fire in the house to warm himself, he thinks it feels nice, but since he's wood he doesn't know he's burning his legs off but But his dad builds him new ones, but I mean putting it in context just saying "Pinocchio burns off his legs" is pretty bad. But when you read the story it isn't as bad as you think
@@1tomuch876 I do not hesitate to see violence but first watching a nice version of a story and then finding out about the true story is just... disturbing and sad.
I read somewhere that the story of Snow White was based on a true story where a y young girl who was cast out by her stepmother then went on to live with a group of paedophiles (the dwarves), who were also cast out by their villages. But the Brothers Grimm "cleaned up" that story and turned into a more acceptable fairy tale for their time. (Obviously, values change over time).
My version of pinnochio is that pinnochio was actually a real boy but he hung himself but his dad couldnt let go of him so he put strings on him and used him as a puppet. Edit: I did not expect so much likes, thanks. Only if likes were subscribers tho.
Why does she marry someone who kisses her out of the blue? The dwarfs were the reason she lived in the first place But that’s just a theory, a *film* theory
One of the most moving things I have ever read was a eulogy for the real Christopher Robin when he died, written as though it is being given by the Pooh Bear and all the characters of the 100 Acre Wood.
@@Coco_1958 the witch cut the hair and used it to make the prince think it's snow white then she dropped the hair and then the prince fell and his eye hit the thorn, he got blind until "rapunzel" came to him
Yeah they say most of the characters have mental disorders like Pooh : Eating Disorder Tigger : ADHD Eeyor : depression ( he's my favorite) Rabbit : OCD Owl : Narcissistic Personality Disorder Piglet : Anxiety (yay me too :D ) And that human boy has schizophrenia that's what the other people say ! I don't agree with them a 100%
You should’ve explained about Peter Pan too. He kills the children of Neverland when he notices that they are growing. Although there was only written “gets rid of them “ or something like that. And damn he hates adults so much.
Apparently Captain Hook is the good guy. He was one of the Lost boys but managed to escape from being killed and devotes his life to fighting Peter to save the other boys.
For the Rapunzel one. When the mother found out, she cut her hair, blah blah blah. Then she sent her to a dessert. After that, the Prince climbed up the tower. Then, the mother pushed him off. He fell on poison ivy. So he went blind. But he didn't give up. He continued to call out "Rapunzel, Rapunzel!" Until he reached the dessert. When he reached the dessert. Rapunzel heard him. They went running to each other. The Prince fainted right after. So he was on her lap. Ofc, Rapunzel started crying. When her tears touched his eyes. He woke up, and he wasn't blind anymore. 💫Quite lovely if you ask me :)💫
In Rapunzel, the way the witch found out about the princes' visits is also considerably different. Where in most modern versions of the story Rapunzel complains and slips, that the witch is much heavier than the Prince when climbing up her hair. In the earliest versions she complains that her dresses don't fit like they used to, implying she's pregnant.
maybe he liked dead bodies like those people that are attracted to them (necrophilia) and he revived her on accident and was like i liked you more whenu were dead
I've been joining literally competitions since grade school and was the representative of our school for storytelling at fifth grade. I was trained to read Rapunzel for the competition and I am so shock to know right now that the Rapunzel I presented at that storytelling competition is the original version. It wasn't disturbing at all actually, maybe because they edited it a bit to fit the person who'd read it which is the 11 years old me. Was that the reason I didn't won? Jk 😂 anyway, the man on the video started talking about Rapunzel and I thought it was quite familiar because at the training, I managed to memorize the whole piece so that it'll be easier for me to present. Goosebumps gosh.
I F It’s not the same. The Grimms collected the fairy tales (they never said that they wrote/invented them) they had women who told them the tales and wrote them down
Marcelina Luna the origin movie about Winnie the Pooh is coming out soon. To tell the history and true story about Christopher Robin and why the story was created
Their not together when everything turns back. I think that's the loophole to it. They weren't in her full possession so when the prince has it, it doesn't change since he isn't aware of the magic.
Also in Beauty and the Beast, Bell didn't married the Beast cause she end up liking him. She was force to marry him or else the Beast would murdered her parents.
I saw a collection of princess movies (knock off versions) when I was younger and the rapunzel one was exactly like the original one . It messed with my brain 😂
About the Pocahontas story, there is in fact a statue of her in Gravesend, it has her name, year or birth to death, this statue (I believe) is located by the St. George's Church with other gravestones of soldiers, I remember visiting in late 2021 and there are many more historical statues, information boards and stuff like that

Honestly I would love to see a documentary of the real life story of Pinocchio Sleeping Beauty and whatever else dark version is behind the animations

Fun fact: snow white was only 7 years old when she get married to 31 years old prince
And Pochontos was 12 (??)
How is that possible? I didn't understand-
I think I heard this somewhere that in the olden times young girls had to marry older men because of illness. I'm not sure this is true tho.

Honestly, Pinocchio's true story has disturbed me. Especially SEEING the image of him hanged😫
I agree
Barely noticed the ones that hanged him was the fox and cat from the cartoon
I love these violent scenes
@@1tomuch876 I do not hesitate to see violence but first watching a nice version of a story and then finding out about the true story is just... disturbing and sad.
My mother and my brother read the Pinocchio. They said it was really creepy, they were right about that of course.
Chyler 29 Oh my god that’s so much more disturbing

The Winnie the Pooh and the characters having mental disorders is so accurate. Even as a kid I knew E'yore had depression
And Rabbit having OCD like crazy as well as Piglet's anxiety issues
i never watched kid stuff i watched disturbing stuff that shocks me still today
Yeah they say most of the characters have mental disorders like
Pooh : Eating Disorder
Tigger : ADHD
Eeyor : depression ( he's my favorite)
Rabbit : OCD
Owl : Narcissistic Personality Disorder
Piglet : Anxiety (yay me too :D )
And that human boy has schizophrenia that's what the other people say ! I don't agree with them a 100%
So did i

Okay but the original Tangled is lowkey Into The Woods??
Patterson Fields OMG I WAS THINKING THAT TO
Into The Woods is based off the real stories. Like Cinderella, Tangled, etc.
That was what I was thinking
That’s what I was thinking!!
Ya they based it on the original Brothers Grimm version not the Disney version
RIP everyone’s childhood
But it was already ruined
Already been knew

Yep
Lol😄
You should’ve explained about Peter Pan too.
He kills the children of Neverland when he notices that they are growing. Although there was only written “gets rid of them “ or something like that.
And damn he hates adults so much.
I though peter pan was about an angel who gets kids that died and brings him or her to neverland. Neverland is heaven.
He gets abandoned kids and brings them to neverland, but he then gets rid of them once he notices they are maturing too much
Heard that Hook is supposedly the good guy and Peter Pan the bad guy 🤣
Apparently Captain Hook is the good guy. He was one of the Lost boys but managed to escape from being killed and devotes his life to fighting Peter to save the other boys.
@Bald Zee I'll give you one more try.

In the earliest versions she complains that her dresses don't fit like they used to, implying she's pregnant.
who is the F A T H E R????? she never met the prince yet soooo, ya...---

I think pinnochio's story should've been #1. It was the grimmest of them all.
ok i have dieded
you make fun before checking that it's an actual correct word .
On the real
I knew about Rapunzel because my storybook as a kid had the real version
Really 😧
Same here, at my kindergarten we even reenacted it.
me too
same but mine was little mermaid
Grace Phyllis same me too, I remember when I was little and reading the original rapunzel and I thought that it was okay and normal
The story's: Scary

The brothers Grimm never wrote a single fairy tale. The collected the stories that were told over generations
But they put their own twist on it.
Pig Head not really, as fairytales were told from generation to generation..there were several variations and version throughout the different regions
The same is said about Shakespeare too. That he basically stole all intellectual property from everyone at the time & used it all
I F It’s not the same. The Grimms collected the fairy tales (they never said that they wrote/invented them) they had women who told them the tales and wrote them down
.

If Cinderella’s godmother told her that everything will change to normal at 12:00am how did her shoes stay the same...?
🤔
Facts always wondered that
Their not together when everything turns back. I think that's the loophole to it. They weren't in her full possession so when the prince has it, it doesn't change since he isn't aware of the magic.
