I've seen shows, like CRIMINAL MINDS, what a show. This show on the other hand, could be my new one. Cop shows I've seen back around 2004, kinda cool. Bad guy gets free, the chief gets arrested, no idea why

They do it for better shooting accuracy. A two-handed grip gives them much better control over recoil, making it much easier to keep the weapon on-target than a one-handed grip would. A two-handed grip has nothing to do with weight, it's all about maintaining their accuracy as much as possible in the event they ever have to open fire.
These staccatos are tricked out by Taran Tactical for the show. The real LAPD METRO Team “D” (SWAT) actual has issued Staccato P handguns. There’s has “METRO” on the right or left side. I forget which side it’s on but it’s actually pretty cool.
