It’s the top trim of a premium pickup truck and you’re pointing out off-road capability. What’s your point?
4:00 All moderns trucks have a vehicle-specific payload listed on the tire placard which is on the driver's B-pillar. GM also adds a vehicle-specific payload and towing sticker that has tons of good info which is also on the B-pillar. No need to fiddle with inaccurate or problematic websites, all of the critical weight capacities are listed on the B-pillar.

18:04 In reality, 4Auto is full-time 4WD. It does not switch between 2WD and 4WD automatically. Since 4Auto keeps the front axle always engaged and is always sending some torque to the front axle there are more moving/rotating parts which means more parasitic drag which means less fuel economy if you run in 4Auto when you don't really need it. From GMC:
AUTOMATIC 4 HI
If road conditions frequently alternate between high- and low-traction areas, consider using the “AUTO” setting found on select GMC electronic transfer cases. This setting allows your GMC to automatically distribute torque to the front axle by anticipating the need for additional traction. Shifting into “auto” engages the front axle, but the transfer case sends power primarily to the rear wheels in normal conditions and the clutches modulate torque forward to provide stability and enhance traction to the vehicle. Although not always optimal for efficiency and wear of your vehicle 4wd driveline, AUTOMATIC 4 HI can be used on any road condition without risk of damaging your vehicle.
Did the fuel injectors make it through the entire test? If so that’s worth mentioning as it would be a notable achievement

I Think Auto Four Wheel Drive is a Lifesaver Especially in Variable Road Conditions

I love the sport driving mode it hardens the suspension and tightens the steering wheel response so you don’t have to use the paddle shifters for a spirited drive. Had the Brembo brakes installed and it will stop on a dime. Borla exhaust is worth the money.Swaped the Bridgestone tires out for Toyo AT3 tires and added a skid plate.

Man that's a nice truck... Love it. I have a 21 Silverado with the 3.0 Duramax diesel, I love the thing.... FYI on the b pillar of ALL new GM trucks, it has a sticker that shows the payload, towing, axle rating etc and it is VIN specific.

Born and raised in Detroit. Even many of us here know to stay away from GM products. Once they sold out Michigan in 2008, took the bailout money and invested it into their chinese auto plants instead of their Michigan plants…that said everything people needed to know about them. Nice designs and products, especially the new Corvette, but will never purchase from GM. They can go sell this Denali in their Mainland market. Aside from the vehicle in the video, a fantastic production as always from Ryan and crew! And great for you bring along your son!
Side note…is there any nice scenic off roads around Ashford I should check out on a trip to Rainer?

Amazing truck... I bought two.
The thing about the Sierra’s side assist steps is they don’t fold down like you’d see on the GMC Yukon, they swing out and are underneath the floor of the truck and naturally closer to the ground. So you wouldn’t need to disable the assist steps for ground clearance in a Sierra because they don’t move toward the ground.
The massage control on the seat is not a “bug”. *gm* wants owners to use the seat control so you can adjust your massage function without taking your eyes off the road to use a screen.
The perfect budget work truck.

Consumer Reports (CR) has been in business for many years. I trust what they say about different products. They remain unbiased bc Consumers want to know what’s good and what’s bad.

I have a 2023 Denali 1500. It has absolutely no off road ability. I am really enjoying it though.
Center screen is just ok, the designing is like there is non, huge bezel and round button sticking out on one side, screen placed low under vents, does anyone need to have vents better in sight? Other then that the interior in the movie looks great, i'm sure it's better in person

All of the payload and towing information is listed on a placard in the door jam of all General Motors trucks. The information is specific to that particular vehicle.
Ryan, they're saving some of the more "upscale" options for the "GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate Ultimate" trim level. It too will have less ground clearance than an Outback.

It's easy to see the flickering of the leds in the back, they appear in the headrest on the black leather. That thing would drive me crazy and i would change them or rip the shit out.
Does this truck have AFM? If it does, disable ASAP.
Heated steering wheel comes on automatically ONLY when it’s cold outside. As the air cooled seats come on automatically when it’s HOT outside.
Ram has this thing beat in so many ways.
I guess it’s a nice truck for people looking for something like that. The park it in front of the McMansion and drive it to the office and back crowd. But If I’m spending 80+ on a truck it’s going to be on a Tundra Pro, Silverado ZR2, Bronco Raptor (I realize that’s not a truck) etc. I mean seriously you can buy crossovers with just as much off-road capability and utility as this truck for WAY less money. Maybe not the towing capacity, so if you need that this would be an ok choice. Or the hey look I drive a truck even though I never use it for truck stuff people. But for me, nah. But everybody has their own thing I guess.
I wonder if you got in an accident while the back massagers are operating, can the rollers (and forgive me if that’s not the right term) do damage to your back (or shoulders or whatever they’re massaging) from the force of your body being forced back into the seat on impact? 🤔

TFL truck tested GMC 6.2 v8 towing at elevation. Truck over heated. I believe this GMC motor/transmission has issues with heat extraction? Heat soaked !!
I’ve owned all 3 of the domestic trucks. I get more trouble free from Ford’s.
We currently own a 11 Ranger XLT super cab 4X4 that we mainly use for work around our property.
It’s 12 years old but has only 35K miles.
Our nephew has a 10 Ranger with the same pwr train (4.0L V6 with the 5spd auto transmission), but he’s got over 200K on his. He’s already asking us to sell ours to him.
After we’re dead and gone, it’ll go to him.
I've got a Silverado with 230k on it and have done nothing to it except change brakes and belts. Reliability is often luck of the draw. I have friends with Fords and other brands who have issues. Who knows?

My last F150 I put almost 400K miles on it and the one before it I put 350K miles on it.
Only vehicle I've ever had to go through the lemon law process for was a 17 or 18, forgot which year, f150 lariat.

You need to try a ZR2 or AT4 with the new LZ0 duramax. Great power and fixes that dismal fuel economy number the 6.2 gives.

For this price point, the rear should have climate control, sun screens and adjustable seats. GM is not alone in those faults however.
How were the seat cushions on a long drive ? GMs seems harder than F150’s.
GM seats are firmer. Not great for long-distance driving.
The 3.0l diesel is the preferred motor getting up to 30+mpg.
IMPROVEMENTS NEEDED:
• Rear coil springs
• Larger cab so rear seats can have up to 10” recline
• 4 corner air suspension
• Panoramic double pane sunroof
• Larger vertical screen like the Ram center 12”+ screen

I get most of that most of these trucks are parking lot princesses but why do manufacturers get upset you scratch wheels testing their products? It’s a truck GM, outfit it with wheels and tires that can handle its full capability SHEESH. HIGHLY disappointed I couldn’t see a proper test because of this.

This is the interior the new GMC Canyon Denali should have had and power running boards. The Canyon still looks cheap for the price.

My Toyota Tundra comes with heated and ventilated seats in the front and the rear. It also comes with manual sun shade for the rear windows.......and it's cheaper.....more fuel efficient...and more reliable

All Season tires, EXCEPT for this season
My mother in law has a brand new 22 AT4, with only a couple thousand miles, GM has had to put a new motor in, next was the entire breaking system went out, slammed into a semi in a parking lot because no breaks. The whole thing I'd a lemon, too bad GM isn't standing buy it. So now she has a almost new pickup sitting at a dealership that they aren't fixing, meanwhile she is having to make payments. Really sad.

It's not an insert/liner. The bed itself is made from a composite material, this is nothing new in the modern pickup world.
