Use Pokemon that evolve when traded, but in their pre-evolved forms, such as Machoke, Kadabra, Haunter, Graveler, Scyther, Onix, Seadra, and Porygon. It's a theme in honor of all of us from R/B/Y/G/S/C who didn't have any friends to trade with, and thus could never finish our Pokedex! :'(

Well, for theme teams, I'd suggest you focus on USUM for the time being and make a LGPE battle every once in a while (and mostly focusing on same pokémon, same type teams)

best shiny mon i ever hatched was when i was breeding to try get a perfect yamask...i was bout 20 in and suddenly a shiny hatched...and i just had this feeling, something told me it was perfect...and what do you know it was perfect, calm nature max everything bar attack, shiny...to this day it's the only shiny i've hatched that has been perfect for what i wanted to use on my teams (and i've iv bred about 3/8 of the entire national dex, obviously counting evolution lines)
