I am in central Florida and had green beans growing when Milton came along and whipped them around and ripped off many of the larger stems. I thought they were goners but decided to leave them to see what would happen. It's amazing that now the bushes are completely covered in blossoms and small green beans. More than the spring crop.

nature takes care for itself. Makes us humans obsolete somehow. So I am even more thankful the planet allows us to make use of him. warm greetings from Germany.

Debbie, congrats on your mole crickets 😊 I am no gardener but I watched a few of your videos and think I'll suggest that the water drained away because of the raised beds. I had to look back to confirm my theory and saw this is the first season with the raised beds. Yep, that's my theory and I'm sticking with it. 🤣 Maybe it makes sense?

Just found your channel. The google algorithm worked. I’m new to southeast Georgia. A transplant from Colorado. So as you can imagine I have no idea how to garden in this environment. My question is approximately where in Florida are you. It is hard to find channels in zone 9b Georgia. It’s far different then 9b California which there are a lot of channels. Any tips on starting a garden in virgin sandy Georgia soil? I’m happy to see your tips on the use of leaves and pine needles.

Debbie, a thunderstorm is effectively a giant liquid fertilising event that not only provides your garden with plenty of water but also with loads of nitrogen that encourages leafy growth on plants & also Nitrogen in the atmosphere is not available for plants to absorb; the energy caused by lightning converts it into a form that can be absorbed by plants. Sounds right. Plants always perk up after a genuine rain more than if they were watered by me.

I'm new to your channel. I love the weird things God has done in my own life! I'm 70. Thank you for your video giving an honest accessment about having a TH-cam channel, which was the video that popped up causing me to subscribe to your channel!

Hi Debbie, new to your channel but I love your down to earth manner and Christian theme. I noticed on this video in particular that you have a really good wireless mic. What kind do you use? Also, if you put a link to it, should I buy one, I 'll use your link. Thanks and God bless you.

Actually, that is a cheap mic from Amazon. I just got a more expensive one from Best Buy. It costs 3X as much as the cheap one but, it is much better. The cheap ones flake out with use. I think what you may be hearing is CapCut feature. It costs $10 month for the pro version but can correct bad sound to a certain degree, fix exposure, etc. If you are just starting out, try the cheap ones. I bought the better one justifying it with the fact that I have made a little money and felt I could invest.

@debbiesorganicgarden Thanks for the tip. I have wireless mic from azden pro from about 12 years ago and was thinking of getting a new one. I hear a lot of raves over the Rode mics but never knew for sure if I was gonna start another channel or not. I'm thinking of starting an art channel and trying it again. It's a lot of work as you've shared and when we were homeschooling our five children it became too much to keep up with so I just turned my channel into a "me" channel and shared what I thought would help people without chasing the algorithm.

If there's the room.. leave the tree like it is..
    Does it bear fruit..
With the tree like it is, it will make a sort of hedge with alcoves and generate an interesting ecosystem.
    With all the things..
    Weird..
Did the storm give them an absolutely massive shock..
and they have gone into full survival mode..
    Seeds and New Plants FAST.
The plants in survival mode are running at full throttle and will burn themselves out, the flowers and fruit stages will happen quicker as well.
What needs investigating is what happened to the cricket's and what caused it..
If you can work out how.. and then emulate it.. you have a solution.
I wonder if it's windspeed, does it dislodge the eggs from where they are hidden..
or if they are in the ground.. then flooding could be the cause.
There's also the ground charge or ionisation and the phase of the Moon.
Nice engaging video with lots of moments and good audio.
