Another thing you can add for durability and safety, dollar type stores have this rollup, sheet flexible cutting boards which you can trim to size and line the knife sheath.
I own some Busses and other fancy knives and I sure do love my Mora too. I have two of their Light My Fire collaborations. Great little quality knives.
I picked up "duck tape" at the dollar store, it was more like semi-sticky vinyl! lol, its ok for decorations but I'll stick with gorilla tale for real jobs
The Mora Clipper has been discontinued but has now been continued by a Mora subsidiary called Bahco. R200 here in South Africa it costs R200 as opposed to R500 for the Mora Companion.
How's the knife retention though? Also I'd probably recommend covering all of the blade with the sheath. I'm not hating, not mad. Not something I'd do or recommend though. Interesting video
Why would anyone want a duct tape sheath? Much easier to make one from an old milk or oil jug or a small plastic trash can. If you want it to be super simple, trace your blade out on the plastic, making it double the width. Cut out, leaving it about 1/8" to 1/4" wider for wiggle room, fold the plastic over and wrap in tape, string or paracord. You can heat the plastic along the fold and press it together with pliers or whatever to help it hold it tighter to the blade, if you want. You can use cardboard the same way too. Duct tape is too flimsy and easily cut or pierced to use for sheath material on it's own. Do what you like, just tossing out some ideas. I've been making sheaths from every conceivable kind of material for over 40 years and have picked up on a thing or two.
As someone from the ghetto I can say this is the most ghetto thing ever I LOVE IT

I love my Mora. Right now it's in my Bug Out Bag. I'm thinking of making a bushcraft bag and buying a second Mora for that one.
