    Just finished mine and turned out beautiful even tho I did it by hand and used rivnuts instead of rivets. Thanks for sharing this brother. I recommend doing this to every one out there. I acctuly put stretchy cords on it so I can have it on my arm or leg.

    They sell clear PVC pipe. Don’t know oh it would cloud from the heat but if not it could show off your knife. Just a thought. Great videos.

      Is black pvc still pvc? Same properties or is it different chemicals. I'll have to google it. Would a regular plumbers primer and glue be useful on the seam. I'm guessing it could be messy if your not careful.

      @@glennledbetter948 shouldn't matter as long as it gets soft when heated it should work . Most plastics do . I took the idea from Kydex like I said in the video

    I don't fish, but I'm a knife maker, and I'm going to try PVC if the local store has some thin enough to use. Kydex is expensive, and I use a lot of it because I believe my customers deserve the best sheath I can make. Looking forward to using PVC.

    That's the Dadaist thing I ever seen! Been making sheaths for kitchen knives with cardboard and electrical tape. This will be MUCH better! 😋

    Should always wrap the blade in 2-3 layers of tape before wrapping and pressing it. Leaves space so the blade doesnt touch the PVC
    (Kydex)

    Most excellent! If you don't want to use the rivets you could use clear PVC glue and it will not come apart. I love using PVC for projects, they sell it in 4x8 sheets at home depot for $20.

      Even just melting sticks between. You can melt using soldering iron or you can use just hot metal.

    Cool video. The rivets really set it off. I’ve seen a couple made similar that used pvc glue or super glue to close the ends. It makes a good pistol holder too.

    using corrosion resistant hardware is a good idea (boating stores are expensive, but stuff is usually made from good quality stainless steel)

    ha ha ha ha, turned out pretty good. If white aint your thing you can use RIT clothing dye to boil the plastic in. Better how toos on here than I can type out but it looks really good with that knife. Glad ya tried it out and one more thang to add to your PVC take over the world list.

    Nice job on the press and the knife sheath. Just picked up a pair of Cast King 8 1/2 " long nose pliers; after watching your video, I think I'll try to make a friction sheath out of pvc for them to keep them handy.

    I make my on nets (cast nets, landing nets etc) and am constantly having to reload my short netting (shuttles) so after viewing your video on knife covers making longer needles has been a simple task. Even a blind hog can find an acorn every now and then.
