He doesn't give a good comparison in this video.
    1. The electric chainsaw has a new factory sharpened chain while his gas chainsaw has a chain that's been used. (You can tell by the sawdust it's creating) To be fair it should have had a brand new chain on it as well to make things more even.
    2. He made starting the gas saw harder than it is because he was trying to rev it out with the brake on. That stalls a saw out and is extremely hard on anything that has to turn.
    3. He never gave the gas saw a chance to warm up, this is why it was getting stuck when he was using it. Instructions tell you to let your saw warm up for 1 minute before using it. He never did.
With that being said. I was still really impressed with the electric chainsaw. My father had one that plugged in years ago and it struggled to cut smaller brush lol.

kirkyeehee and it’s quite clear the chain in the gas saw is also too tight. You can see that after he cuts the chain almost stops immediately

Your electric saw is much sharper than your gas saw.
I would also guess the chain on the gas saw is too tight.

Boy, I never saw anybody put the chainsaw between their legs to hold while starting.
But, you got to learn how to set the choke once it's warmed up, take it off totally when it's hot.
And when going through a big log, use the whole throttle, run it full out.

These batteries are made with sulfuri proxy acid, these battery’s maintain their health and efficiency for 10 years before starting to run down. The battery’s you buy in the store run down within 3 months due to only being made with proxy acid which doesn’t help maintain the positive charged ions where as sulfuri proxy acid maintain thier positive charged ions even after being reused a lot. Science
And then we have gas, it has an expiry date of 12 months and is prone to getting dirty and clogging the tank :)

That’s brushless power for you. Strong consistent power. The gas one bogs down as you can hear.

Like somebody else said, should have been two new saws. however fast you can start the gas the electric would be cutting in that time. Never tried or saw anybody start a saw with the brake on.

2 questions about the husqvarna. how many ccs and is that chain dull? on a log that small theres no way the engine should bog like that. the 2 saws i have both 60-63 cc would tear through it without effort.

The Dewalt performed great. Now I know what chainsaw to buy if I need one, a 16 inch Dewalt electric.

Do wire vs wireless chain saw. See which is more powerful and more reliable
