- In May 2020, sacred rock shelters in the Juukan Gorge, WA, were destroyed by a mining company.

I knew Mr Parker when I was in WA ,I worked at auski roadhouse just down the road to Wittinoom. He's a good man who I respected a lot.
So sorry for what happened, devestated
The real reason it hapoened was because people like him dont really care. They see aboriginal people and culture as problems to be overcome. Lets be honest, the vast majority of Australians regard aboriginal people as "unfinished business"; the ones that got away from the genocides committed by their grandparents.
Thats the full story. 'We don't know what happened. It was our fault. We don't know, how we did it; but we're just the best party to make sure it will never happen again.'
