She also mispronounced Warren Beatty and I’ve heard her mispronounce Mickey Cohen in multiple videos. I’m a stickler for saying people’s names right. That was their legacy.

I only knew of her because of her romantic liaisons and her being seen as a Marylin Monroe knock off. I think she left Hollywood after Marylin died because the whole “dumb blonde” era was pretty much over after that. I think her acting was always criticized it I personally think she was a much better actress then Jayne was.

Wow, I did not know she was still alive. I'm a huge pin up girl fan, have Jane Mansfield, Josephine Baker, Marilyn Monroe, Veronica Lake, Ava Gardner, Bettie Page, Barbara Stanwick, and Dorothy Dandridge tattooed on my arm. Mamie Van Doren was on the list, but I ran out of room.
I think she also came out with beauty and cosmetics line after her time in Hollywood. And gosh does she favor a young Jessica Lange, especially in the eyes.

As I was watching your video on Mamie Van Doren, I remembered the scene in Pulp Fiction where Uma Thurman and John Travolta were in that club Jack Rabbits. There was a blonde server, and I believe Uma pointed out it was Marilyn Monroe,but Travolta corrected her and said that's Mamie Van Doren. I like how you casually tried to brush over the fact of how she left Hollywood but Jane Mansfield died in a car accident there was no drugs involved which leads me to believe it was something more to it
I'm sure lots of starlets left after that. Some of them saw Hollywood for what it was, and some probably had to leave because they knew too much. Especially if they were friends with Marilyn. JFK, RFK,etc.🤷
Jane Mansfield was also known for being mixed in with Anton Lavey, the priest of the church of Satan so some folks believe that was her karma for dealing with the dark powers that may be
