The Great Britain Railtour, one of the biggest highlights in the railway calendar! 9 days of steam power from England, up to Scotland, through Wales and ending back at the beginning. In years gone past, several different steam locomotives have been seen at the front of this tour from Duchess of Sutherland to a B1 and many more. This year however, due to air braked stock, it'll just be handled by Black Fives and Tangmere, not too bad.
Here are 44871 and 45407 heading through Pangbourne, just seconds from being bowled by a commuter GWR Class 387, which thankfully left just in time, had quite a few of us on edge to say the least!😂 Been a while since I've seen the pair down here so was very nice!
