Dalton, I’m not gonna lie, seeing cars with more hole than car be revived has legitimately re-sparked my mechanic drive. I thought my Cobra strut towers were beyond saving, but the Holey Goat, Silver Dollar Chevy, and this glorious adventure remind me that rust isn’t the end. Just get out and drive it! I always enjoy your videos. The wife asked "Why doesnt he just take one car and fully restore it, instead of half assing it" I explained thats the whole point of his channel. You dont have to fully restore it to enjoy what you built. Most guys out there dont have $40,000 garage set ups. Dalton is just a regular guy like most people.
Right of the tip of the bat, the Mopar style hood scoop added 25 to 30 horse to that old Pontiac motor. 😂😮 And its awesome to see the family engaged and appreciate the low dollar engineering. We aren't all made of money and i hate the youtubers that forget who or what they were or came from. Cheers from Ohio
Yea not seeing someone reach into their um "parts bin" for the new engine and brakes and such they "had lying around" because that shit always annoys me.
Dalton, seeing this video has revived my spirits. I have been hospitalized since October 18 of last year and been unable to work on my 1964 Buick Riviera. This video has given me the additional motivation I needed to get out of physical rehabilitation so I can start wrenching on my Buick. Thank you Brother for staying true to yourself. 😊
My grandpa told me when he was a teen he bought two 55 Chevies for 50 dollars a piece. One bad body great drive line, and one blown motor beautiful body. THIS is what it's all about buddy 🤘🤘
Videos like this are what keeps me coming back to this channel. Just having fun in a shop with a low budget, still making cars you can rip around in without selling your left kidney. This is the side of car TH-cam I love. Keep it rolling y'all.
I would absolutely love to spend a weekend with you working on those old classics. You have got to be one of the most honest car guy I've ever seen. Please keep them videos coming.
With a new radiator, exhaust, and some additional floors, you'll be fully set. Especially exhaust. I love the low buck club because I needed this today.

Dalton, this is your best video yet. The Pontiac engine you put in this car has power you haven't even tapped into yet. She wants to race bad!! I think you should do a badass budget racing build on the Buick and take it either to the drag strip or Power tour 2024!! I am so glad I found your channel. 45:30 just another one of those things to keep around until you need it, and it's way gooder when someone just gives it to you. I think I have four of those things that came in a random assortment of car parts and toolboxes and tools I bought in a lot from an estate sale about 3 years ago for ten bucks. They are sitting on a shelf in my shop just waiting to be needed, and if I don't get around to using them, well, when I die my kids will sell it to some other sucker for ten bucks in the estate sale along with half my tools. Maybe NOW is the time to teach my kids the fine art of sorting and reselling tools and parts so they don't just sell them a pallet at a time for short money.
It's the Puick....cool! Been a pontiac fan for yrs. Bought my 69 gto in high-school 31 yrs ago. Picked up my dads 67 lemans from the St. Vincent de Paul for 600.00, 1 owner who had it till she passed away. All original with a 326 and a 2 speed. Then added a jim butler 474 stroker with a th400 and a 12 bolt. Was a blast 2 drive, had 13.1 compression and ran on 110 octane erc, did glorious burnouts and ran mid 10's. My dad is currently redoing a 65 buick skylark convertible and doing the everyone LS swap 5.3. It was sitting in a shed in kansas for many many yrs, was original including drive train, had the 310 wildcat and someone had added a th350 and tossed the 2 speed. If it was me id keep the 310 wildcat and 3 speed. Was yellow and now is a gm blue metallic, really nice color. Just toss on a buick air cleaner and ur good 2 go.

People ask why I'd put a dump truck 366 tall deck in my Camaro. Well it was free. Free is good. Then they say you know you're gonna blow it up with those turbos and nitrous right? Yes. Yes I do know that 😂.

That is so cool! Reminds me of when I was a teenager. That is pretty much what I would of enjoyed doing! Swapping a good running engine into a old sedan. Throwing on a random hood scoop that looked cool. Installing a four barral dual plane factory or after market intake manifold. Putting better brakes on all four wheel's. If a four speed trans was handy swapping one in place of the auto trans. Spraying down the engine compartment with gloss black after cleaning it. Finding some decent tires, wide 60's or 70's in back and stock size up front. Gotta install some cheap Low restriction turbo mufflers or glass packs and some type of available exhaust manifolds,, Hooker Headers. Clean up the interior, patch the floorboards. Some type of seat covers over the old seats. Gotta have a SUN tach mounted on the steering column. Gotta have a Pioneer or better Cassette stereo player in it along with co-axel 6x9 rear deck speakers and front tweeters as well. Of course no air conditioner but definitely the heater and defrost working.... Then It is all about cruising and running it.
I definitely want to see this car in future episodes. It’s so good. Like you say, It is like a chevelle but a tenth the price, and it looks cool. Plus, it makes the Pontiac torque.

When watching a channel such as yours,.... it reminds me what a lucky guy your son is to have a Dad like you to teach him......about cars....I did not have that option.
I can't lie, this type of content motivates me so much. Not only does it go further than anybody else in saying any car can drive but any car can have whatever powerhouse you want in it. This is the kind of thing i enjoy watching.
I love them old Buicks. You're right they look like a Chevelle but different which makes them cool. Also that 350 Pontiac still has some grunt. Great video
Dalton, I feel like every time I hear "shoot a self-tapper in 'er" I'm also hearing "FORE!" just before you start drilling it. The good people at Nucor in Sedalia thank you for giving them some raw material from that LeMans.
Well Dalton you told me once you wanted to be my number one TH-camr and you've done it. My old number one went to number three. JYD is 2 now too. KEEP UP the "regular guy working on cars" up. I wait all week for the next video!!!!
Now this is the way! Thanks for championing the RIGHT way to build a cheap, running muscle car Dalton! I'd patch the few holes in the floorboard with the new found "patch plates" you found in the trunk and of course replace that radiator. Doesn't need much else besides the exhaust fix to be good enough.
You are absolutely right. If you want to get into the musclecar community, you can find one and piece it together, make smart choices if the money isnt there and make it work. I am fortunate enough to have a Chevelle, but there are plenty of other musclecars out there at reasonable prices. Even a Chevelle can be bought reasonably, it all depends on your standards and how patient you are looking for one. Good video man!
I have an audi a1. I'm the type that absolutely loves the car and will continue to repair it so I can enjoy it. I'm a mechanic so I can do a lot of the work on my car but noth everything. Usually once a year it needs something and this year is no difference. The water pump went the other week on the way to work. It didn't leave me stranded it just started leaking slowly. It will get a new water pump for the first time in 100000 miles actually slight under and we measure in kms here so she's done just on 150000kms. I've had over 70 cars and this wee audi is me favorite one yet. I stuck away from euro cars for high repair cost and unreliable but I've been very surprised on how good it has been and how good to drive it is.
I really enjoyed this episode. It turned out better than I expected! The Buick is so good that it's ready for a SEMA level treatment that only PBG can perform 👌🏻🤘🏻🇺🇸
Had to come back and watch this one a second time cause it was just that good. This is what I call budget muscle, you're pretty much the only car channel I watch anymore, the rest just aren't as relatable sadly. Gets me motivated to work on my own piles of junk lol, keep it up and dont lose the shop!
👍🏻 i’ve got a 66 skylark with a chevy engine. Fits and runs great. 66 chevelle was double the price for what I paid for the Buick. I still have it after 25 years😊
We have similar thought processes. In this vid you said it best. "Keep it simple..." It never made sense to me to teach my daughter to spend tens of thousands of dollars building a car that is worth hundreds of thousands of dollars or millions. When you can just teach your kid to spend about $3.50 and just enjoy life and the struggle

Awesome find! I'm definitely looking forward to seeing you do more with it! Me and my dad are currently working on his 71 skylark 2 door. We followed the same philosophy and found a 300 dollar 455 and stuck it in. It's definitely been a fun car . next is paint and body we will do ourselves! Enjoy the Channel. Keep up the good work
I have to watch this for the third time, one of my favorite builds that you have done. And JD's comment when you have to put trans fluid is..."Take Two."
Where does a shade tree mechanic find all these quick release parts ? You've got a good channel going on. I'll be watching a few more episodes for sure . Keep the good entertainment coming, finally some good down to earth programs.
You have the skills to be a top notch comedic actor. If the video youtube career doesn't work out you can confidently hit the casting calls for sitcoms.
I bought that same carb a couple months ago. I liked the float adjustments. I haven't finished tuning with it. The 15 dollar meter/spring kit was nearly identical to the Edelbrock $80 rip-off kit. At some point, we need to agree that $80 for a bent brass stick is a wee bit on the greedy/f-u side.
I definitely am loving the Buick build for sure!! I’d definitely love to see you do some body work on it and some fresh paint and see how well that spruces it up even more???

Love this video, it’s like the third time I watched it! The only thing I can’t stop thinking about how perfect just about everything left on that shell would go to make the Goat whole and nice again, with your expertise in body work. I bet it would be a lot more comfortable. I know it defeats the purpose; but, still another great respect to the Goats of the world!
YAY! another PBG to watch!
You do the coolest builds with less than anyone on Utube. Don't even have a lift which I can appreciate. Hope you continue with this Buick such a cool ride. Great video as always
You ignore me 😢 but I'll never stop lovin the $1.00 CLUB . ❤
I swear this is the best show, how honest he is about everything. Thank u for all the awesome things u guys do for us.
The muddy water shooting out the rad when you revved it was epic!
This video gave me the motivation i needed to get my butt outside today and work on another video of my truck build. Thank you for doing what you do. I got to drive my truck down the driveway for the first time so it was well worth it
I'm starting to "Restore" my 65' ford f100 with similar methods used on the Silver doller Chevy and I found out that it's a bondo bucket before I even touched it 😂
Great! You can't make it any worse then
When watching a channel such as yours,.... it reminds me what a lucky guy your son is to have a Dad like you to teach him......about cars....I did not have that option.
Things are so much better when you don't care. I find it liberating.
Same!! 🤘
I can't lie, this type of content motivates me so much. Not only does it go further than anybody else in saying any car can drive but any car can have whatever powerhouse you want in it. This is the kind of thing i enjoy watching.
Dalton... You are the KING of junk autos to road ready. Keep up your awesome content 🔨🔥
I love them old Buicks. You're right they look like a Chevelle but different which makes them cool. Also that 350 Pontiac still has some grunt. Great video
Time to clean with lots and lots of Brake clean. Immediately cuts to Dalton with a grinder lmao
Dalton,
I feel like every time I hear "shoot a self-tapper in 'er" I'm also hearing "FORE!" just before you start drilling it. The good people at Nucor in Sedalia thank you for giving them some raw material from that LeMans.
Videos just keep getting better. Thanks Dalton.
Thanks Bill
@@PoleBarnGarageI do nag you a lot on here but I really enjoy watching y’all. Take care and happy restoring 😂
Anybody else notice the headlight bezzel almost fall out?😂 i love how you dont cut out the small things that arent as planned
It's not an edelbrock that's an edelwok.
I really enjoyed this episode. It turned out better than I expected! The Buick is so good that it's ready for a SEMA level treatment that only PBG can perform 👌🏻🤘🏻🇺🇸
Glorious
Had to come back and watch this one a second time cause it was just that good. This is what I call budget muscle, you're pretty much the only car channel I watch anymore, the rest just aren't as relatable sadly. Gets me motivated to work on my own piles of junk lol, keep it up and dont lose the shop!
I’ll tell you right now Lucas products never worked for me and I am 63 this year😊
👍🏻 i’ve got a 66 skylark with a chevy engine.
I know youll never read this but Dalton your my hillbilly superhero. You save countless so many old ladys and help them cross the stret again in style
Coming from B.C. canada.
Keep the good entertainment coming, finally some good down to earth programs.
looks like a fun little project, sounds Strong, and as a Mopar guy I love how that scoop looks on that Buick
You have the skills to be a top notch comedic actor. If the video youtube career doesn't work out you can confidently hit the casting calls for sitcoms.
This is the absolute best, and most realistic car revival channel on TH-cam. Keep up the great work and I love my PBG hat!
Yes Dalton faces extreme repair adventure as an epic improv challenge! Fun stuff! I agree these are great cars...
One of the best channels out there. Vgg, puddin, NNKH...
Youre right up there guys.
Always stoked to see more of your shenanigans 😂
I definitely am loving the Buick build for sure!! I’d definitely love to see you do some body work on it and some fresh paint and see how well that spruces it up even more???
Love this channel, budget muscle for the win, your neighbors must love pole barn garage, open headers for days!
Really enjoy watching you "using the whole buffalo" with a parts car.
What is better than it's Friday, I got some cold beverages, a bacon cheeseburger poutin, and Pole Barn Garage. Thank You Dalton, Jess and J.D. I hope that you guys are all doing superfantastic. God Bless You All.
She's sweet !! I can see a cool white or black paint job ..it will be an awesome car .. nice shape..
As always cool work got done!!
Hey Dalton. I had to go back and watch this one again before watching the new episode on this rig. I forgot how much I loved this thrash episode and actually how pretty dang good the car came together on the first go-around. She's a ripper. Love the poncho 350 and the Buick body. The Bontiac? No. Ponti-uick? LOL. I love it.
I think JD might already have more "hands on" hours than I do, and I'm 54.... my hat off to both of you!
I love 67 Skylarks. My brother had one back in the 80s. Smooth rider
Years ago I bought a 79 Pontiac Firebird and ditched the sorry excuse of a 301 and replaced it with a Olds 350 with a 4 bbl, and headers, and cragars, I miss that car
Super clever…very relatable…love the fact you involve the young bloke & the missus…Much respect…congrats…p.s. Nixon not Regan…
Super Clean to knock the dirt off of a radiator hose and silicone spray will restore any rubber hose and make it look mint
