This was my favorite scene in the reboot. The pacing of it is unusually patient for a SAW movie, it drops hints that these two characters have some kind of weird Bonnie + Clyde thing going on behind everyone's back (an idea that, unfortunately, the rest of the script doesn't really act on), the use of the song in the background ("Never Fade Away" by the Great American Canyon Band) is a pleasingly subtle piece of foreshadowing in addition to what it brings to the scene atmospherically (I mean, a distinctly late-2010's-sounding alt-indie band is an interesting departure from the series' tradition of loading the soundtracks with mostly nu-metal sounds, and kind of drives home the sense of "This is not your daddy's Jigsaw"), all the use of red in the scene is enjoyably ominous, the dialogue is not special but it gets the job done without being forced. For all the faults of JIGSAW, it's a good scene.
Agree, plus the dialogue that sheds a light on both Logan's moral dislike of Halloran, just how corrupt he is and making Eleanor this ambiguous figure that you're not totally sure of. Plus the tension between them. Also, in both this moment and the studio scene, the way Eleanor comes across is super alluring, potentially innocent and yet ominous at the same time. Those smiles are super femme fatale like too. And Hannah Emily Anderson is maybe the most gorgeous woman in the entire franchise.
