This build was just great, it reflects the original idea of the dev when he created this game. Historical cities had a charm that is lost in the modern cities. Your choice of this type of style is really refreshing and for fulling for a histiry buff like me. Keep it up and hope for more in the furtur.

Hello, sir. I just wanted to take a moment to express my frustration-playfully, of course-for creating a three-hour-long video that was so compelling I couldn't stop watching. You truly made me sit through the entire thing simply because of how engaging it was. Jokes aside, the video was incredibly well done and surprisingly satisfying to watch. I have no idea how I ended up spending three hours on it, but thanks to your work, I did. Well done!
Great video! Great storyline and everything. Just wanted to leave a comment to tell you that I appreciate the effort and thought that went into the video.
So, not a big deal, but a personal thing. Personally I would've left the small wooden churches in your satellite community as small wooden churches. At least until a cathedral or something similar is added, I feel like having a stone church in the middle of town with the clay roof tiles makes sense. Meanwhile, the smaller farming communities that don't have as many people would just have a small, modest wooden church.
Been very much looking forward to this, going to watch and try it in game. Your previous builds are of course hyper efficient but personally I would prefer a more historical, organic build that still is very efficient.
I aimed to weave together historical city-planning trends, particularly the grid-based layouts of the time, while incorporating my own creative touch. The approach was to imagine myself living in that era, but with a different knowledge set-applying my style within the constraints of the period to design a city that feels both authentic and uniquely my style
Just so every one knows... at the beginning of each month, it averages your negatives from the previous month with your current approval rating. This is why you drop from for example, 54% down to 47%... then come back to 54. You don't get families until your average approval of the last 2 months is over 50.
First family is definitely harder on hard settings. You really need to have everything extremely compact and manage build order strictly to get that first one. I managed to get my first one in June of year 1 just now, so there's space for optimization there.
@@TacticatGaming Not a bug, not even a change as far as I can tell. If your current month negative reaches -5 in any area, then it carries over a negative into the next month. I did a little more testing last night, and it's still possible to get your first family April 2nd. You just have to manage the negatives so nothing ever hits -5.
Man 1 year to get the first family lol ! i usually get the first 1 in September, never been able to do it sooner My strategy is Hunting Camp, Logs, 1BP, boards, tannery, storehouse, chirch, granary, 2 BP, trade post and manor (usually by the end of first year) I Never build more then 1 BP at time since the malus stack up and builds quickly while the bonus ... not so much lol i build only double BP for houses and i build BP first when have high approval and prioritize extension when i need ppl but i have lower approval Also upgrade to level 2 BP or 3 later on is better if you already fulfill all the needs when you du but .... i find out you can manage a couple of BP level 2 while getting the chirch to lev 2 and the booze the log camp guy is the same that produce boards and do fire logs the hunting camp guy is the tanner as well 1 person in storehouse 2 free for building when i'm able to build for the second source of food i dedicate 1 guy to the granary and the hubner shift off season so i always have 1 person in the granary 1 in the storage 2 making food / or services 1 building everything i need i was once able to have the first person in july but never happened again XD PS: this may have changed a bit, i didn't test it with 8.029 yet ... it was valid until 8.017
and just tryed. first family in agoust :) chirch started in april already. the tactic is still good but i know by test that you can get away with first family in april in challenge difficulty if you apply your guide for Normal difficulty. So we will see if the current behavior is intended or not ... if not we may just use the 1 BP for starter method ;)
New Hovel also has its charm I guess 🤣 but I do second the grammar change to Nowa Nora though, cause even if it is a borrow from Latin, it would have been changed to local grammar
I noticed that you have a pond on the map. Whenever I have that kind of map, at the very start of the game, the ox will pick up a timber and walk straight to the pond and got itself stuck. I tried assigning-reassigning family for the ox but not successful. Do you have any suggestion to resolve this ox being stick in the pond issue?
Also im curious, why dont you just hire a mercenary band for liek 50 gold to take the camp knowing you get 100+ back instead of either skipping or pulling your mens ? (at 41:30). I followed your epic start video and only ever pulled my men on the first bandit camp can rest self funded itself
The optimized builds are cool but the historicaly accurate build is cooler and the intro with history lesson was awesome. Thanks for your videos!

Polish-Lithuanina Commonwealth, lol.
Yes the story of Viktor and the Brawndo
Lol that can be the next series
DUDE, just the intro made me love this. So much effort. Right on!

I love the cat city planner and source of the divine scroll.
Absolutely amazing video mate. Learnt so much about the game and just enjoyed the story.

any one else thirtsy for ale after hearing the music?
Do you know what that music is from?
Awesome intro to get the RP for a great build. Thanks Tac 100%
What an amazing idea for a video, love this thank you 🤘🏼

Amazing...Love your video man! Especially for the back story. Awesome!
Thank you!

What an intro dude. 👏
When I get time, I'll check out your Foundation videos. However, I'm looking forward to watching this in its entirety. Good work!
i really like this kind of city build, keep it up!
Holy deep seated hamster trauma, 'Cat.. That intro.
The hamster trauma continues
loving the viking music
I lived in a town from the 1850's and it had as many bars as churches. We drove around and counted over fifty of each.

Was that not the Blessed Virgin Mary at the start??? Very cool set-up and video. Nice work!

I had no problem getting above 50-60% it just kept tanking at the start of every month - honestly think it's a bug

you had your manor in the right defensive position, if you had it built up you could prob use it for defense

i build only double BP for houses and i build BP first when have high approval and prioritize extension when i need ppl but i have lower approval
Also upgrade to level 2 BP or 3 later on is better if you already fulfill all the needs when you du but .... i find out you can manage a couple of BP level 2 while getting the chirch to lev 2 and the booze
the log camp guy is the same that produce boards and do fire logs
the hunting camp guy is the tanner as well
1 person in storehouse
2 free for building
when i'm able to build for the second source of food i dedicate 1 guy to the granary and the hubner shift off season so i always have
1 person in the granary
1 in the storage
2 making food / or services
1 building everything i need

This is cool even with the questionable lore 😁😁😁💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥
Nowy Nora? I mean, nora is like a hole in the ground where typically animals like foxes or so live...
Disregarding grammar, bc if you took that into account it'd have to be Nowa Nora
It’s a mix of polish and Latin
