- Web3 is a back-end revolution and nothing that makes your webspace more likeable or interactive. Since the novelties happen at the level of the code, it is not easy for the user to grasp what a huge revolution it is. Web3 changes our data structure as it democratises information by giving all users the same level of accessibility. There is full transparency and privacy is preserved thanks to cryptography. There is no centralised entity governing the cryptoworld, no bank issues any currency but bitcoins are regularly exchanged. The whole system works because there is an open-source protocol that everybody must agree with before performing network actions. How are users incentivised to perform the right actions? They are paid with network currency. The democratised code is actually the accepted governance of the blockchain. But who writes the code? Who manages the inner working of the future Web? After finishing her PhD in IT-Management at the Vienna University of Economics, Voshmgir went on to study filmmaking and stage production in Madrid. Her main focus in all these areas is blockchain technology. She is the founder of Blockchain Hub and director of the Research Institute for Crypto Economics at the Vienna University of Economics. She is also advisor of Jolocom, a blockchain based identity protocol and Wunder, a decentralized Art Museum. Because I have learned along the way of my investment that research and analysis are important, note that experience is more needed, than luck when it comes to the financial market.

I recently heared about the nfts thing but still don't understand how these benefits people or how the NFT buyer use such digital arts.
Artist and designers use it to sell art and collectables. Everything is moving online so makes sense for them to do it that way.
Please I need someone to help me trade or invest the forex or crypto market because I'm tired of trading in losses myself. I've blown my account twice and it's frustrating.😭
Great video. One important thing when it comes to crypto is to trade and not hope on price rising and falling. Bitcoin is the future, investing in it now will be the wisest thing to do especially if you are been guided by a professional. I believe the benefits of a successful trade comes from an expert and that is why i made huge profit with the help of Mr Paul Singh, he's a genius and that's why i always advice novice to trade with him

There is a lot of focus on how the transparency and incentives help ensure that network actors behave correctly and develop protocols in the right way but what happens when they don't? What happens when the incentives don't align with the benefits - can actors sabotage these networks and disregard the incentives? Take an example of someone who wants to sabotage a DAO and doesn't care that it's transparent and everyone will know who did it; what do we do then?

there are only 3 anonymous crytpocurrencies, I think - Monero, and 2 others - and some say the FBI can trace Monero. Other aspects of blockchain, therefore, are probably traceable - everything you view (including how long down to the second), like, every comment, every tiny purchase.
ANY tool can be used for good or bad. The question is - will I be able to decline this tool if I so choose and what will the ramifications be? Will I be able to get a job, apartment, rental car, college classes, etc. if I chose not to use this one digital ID/wallet? And, don't be fooled - this web3 and DeFi is mostly about the introduction of a a digital wallet (travel and health pass, CBDC, internet login, ID, etc).
Saying it is anonymous is largely a blatant lie. I can buy a burner phone, but cell towers ping me, WiFi and bluetooth can be tracked somewhat, the IMEI and mac address give info such as which city I bought the phone in and then the SKU can be researched to see what time and date and store I bought it and then the checkout/register's camera can be checked or CCTV....
Your digital ID is no different. Your digital wallet makes you use about 8 words and that means 26 letters per word...do the math depending on how many letters are in each word. This means there is no escaping who did what and when. You are told you are being given choice, but it is really being taken away from you and you did it to yourself because they tricked you into it.

Goo'd Lady! Transparency is key here. Keeping it simple is best bet. Why the need to be anonymous? The anonymity is what keeps the bad actors in power but paradoxically is also championed by the repressed as a vital solution to skirt the oppressors. There would be no need to skirt anything if transparency were employed. As a pure definition of transparency suggests. People use anonymity out of fear, fear is what keeps things under control back in the hole.

How can transparency and privacy coexist? We know that crypto today is used for criminal purposes as well, so my question is, if every person in the blockchain shares the same information, how is there any privacy or opportunity for criminal transactions.
Only maybe if everyone shares the same information in a form of code so the system can see if there is a mismatch between those codes but not the details of the transaction?

Blockchain is something which I am not convinced with as future. It's looks too much costly when you don't believe anyone. Just consider/remember Y2K problem which cost Billions to add 2 digits for a year.
Who decides what is "the right thing" to incentivize? There will still be a powerful authority, only hidden. The dictator is the one who sets the rules for incentivization.
That's what I'm thinking, there has to be someone that controls internet, but maybe I'm I'm not getting it
No dictators on the internet because its a decentralized technology. Different coins have different rules and vary slightly in their incentive structures. The free market will decide which incentive structures will be successful. It doesnt really matter who the creator is. The network functions independent of any one person. The code is open source and auditable so nothing is hidden.
An internet where my data is stored on computers of unknown people, who can then decide how my information is used and processed. is a nightmare, a dystopia. An internet where I have to pay at any click?! Even for accessing my data?! It is nuts!
With blockchain you decide who can access your data. You do not give it away as you do now to services from Google, Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, etc.
@@carry2web That is wrong. In blockchain decision belongs to the network, not just me. I have no worries with my data given to known companies, subject to strict regulation (in EU, where I live) but I am against giving it to a shadowy network of people and computers, where I cannot even make corrections or delete what I think is not appropriate. You cultivate fear and then come with a supposed fix. The fear is not grounded and the fix is illusory.
