Wow. I knew his bows were nice but actual 14k gold. What an honor to get to try them all; I can’t wait for the interview!

OMG so much quality and money in small boxes. As a long time cellist, and 15 year owner of a Coda bow I never use, I am very intrigued by this brand. Can't wait to see more and find out which you like best. I found that the Coda is reliable and tough as a backup or for more "gritty" music, but it lacks responsiveness for typical play. Thank you for continuing to share your cello journey online - I always appreciate seeing what you post. Despite playing all through school and college, I haven't exposed to this level of excitement about new developments in the cello-world for a long time; I have not stayed up to date since graduating a decade ago. Discovered your channel during the pandemic, and thoroughly enjoy learning (and geeking out) with you.

I have just upgraded to the Codabow Diamond GX and have to say I love it... Now we're back having face to face lessons, my teacher, who plays a $10,000 antique Hill bow loves it, reckons it's fantastic!

I can't wait to learn what the differences are in the different models and numbers. Please make viewable the comments that came in during the livestream! "It's nice. It's got gold on it. I really like it." - kind of understated! LOL

Oh nevermind - I see that you somehow uploaded this video twice and the other version has the livestream comments.

My wife is a retired curriculum music teacher. She had to retire early thru' ill-health. I bought her as a surprise present a cello - her first bowed inst. (She is piano, clarinet, choral and all things necessary...) She very quickly progressed to post Gd8 level, but because of her health and little strength she is frustrated at her lack of further progress. I have heard that the Luis & Clark c/f cello is more easy/relaxed to play - do you have any advice?

Amazing bows, I usually get the inexpensive bows from Long & McQuade. I have gone online and balked at the prices of some of those bows. I'm still learning the cello, I can't afford anything like those, but I can dream.

Hi Jonathan. I could definitely hear the difference between the C4 & the M9 bows. The C4 gave the cello brighter tone with a little bit of sharpness, whereas the M9 produced a mellow sound with more variety of colours. The sound produced by the M9 bow also seemed to be smoother and more pleasant to the ear. I’ve never played the cello, but I did learn how to play the violin around 10 years ago before I switched over to the flute xx
