I own an S8 (round stick) as my primary bow. I trialed it for about a month, putting it up against an S9, a number of Bernard Walke bows, my own Francois Malo and a very fine Ouchard (~$20000). The S8 won out over all of them including the Ouchard and the S9 - it simply performed better for my style of playing and with my instrument. They're truly wonderful bows and I feel sorry for anyone who writes them off just because they're made of carbon fibre.

Thanks for posting this! Which M bow in the lower priced group was the most responsive but had the least sound possibilities (if I remember correctly)? Have an S4 and looking to upgrade to an S5 or S6 or go with the M or T line.

This would have been more helpful with better organization and labeling on the video. I spent most of the video wondering which bow he was currently using, and it seemed to me that Nabi spent most of the video trying to give vague feedback in fear of picking one of the "lesser" bows. I'm more interested in the differences between the different types of bows (M/T/S) than I am in the tier of each type (3-9), so waiting for him to "correctly" guess the bow tier was a bit of a let down.
If you still have the footage, you should create another 5-10 minute video that shows side by side footage of each bow being used, and clearly label it on the screen (with time stamps) as it's being used. I think that would be very helpful to those like myself who want to hear the differences in each bow type. A straightforward video of the bows being used with minimal explanation would be awesome.

Carbon Fiber bows. Carbon Fiber is usually used because they are lighter and still strong (used in SHigereu Kawai piano's, aftermarket car parts...etc. With bows...I heard some players want heavier bows...do they make these bows heavier and just use the carbon fire material for it's strength? Maybe putting weight at certain areas of the bow? Why would you use a CF bow?

I don't care the material. I recently bought an Arcus S5 for double bass and compared to a couple wooden bows that costs double. I liked the S5 better. I don't give a shit the material. Responds better, and even more important, the sound is better than those two bows. By the way, I heard that Paganini played with a metal hollow bow. Go figure...

I was as confused as Nabi as to what you were trying to prove/achieve? There appeared to be no structure to the test. It was as if you were trying to skew the results.
