Bought this 720E for myself for Christmas. Was going back & forth between the 720E & the newer 720G, but i got a better deal on a new 720E. I'm now watching all the TH-cam vids on it that I can. Thanks for your great unboxing/ flying video.

Nice job on the review. I have had the HS720E for nearly a year. For sure a quality alternative to DJI at a better price point. You covered everything but how to avoid mountains...or even some low hills. A might flat in them parts. :)

It's not awesome at all in fact it's dangerous. It can't even hover without swaying and chnaging heights. It is unpredictable and when you start it up it will sometimes take off and not hover and just crash into something. It's dangerous!
Just watched your video (Jan 8 2025) noticed how clear and blue the sky was. Take a video these days and see/notice if the sky is whiter.. Geo Engineered Weather…! REPLY BACK WOULD BE APPRECIATED. I am in the Edmonton Alberta Canada area. Darcy
The drone review was pretty good; however, the drone flying experience is only as good as the app used to control it. You referenced a "beginners" mode as a default setting. How did you find out about that? There is no documentation for the Ophelia GO app. Assume your viewers have bought this drone as their first and have no experience with drones or drone apps. How far away can the drone be and still power left for "return to home" brings it back. So many questions and app documentation.
In the settings, it is defaulted to beginner mode. you need to close beginner mode to set altitude, rth altitude and distance. When batt gets low, drone will automatically rth

Picture a 1st time drone flyer with the hs720e on its maiden flight. The drone is out roughly 50 yards away at the edge of a treeline. According to the manual, the drone will simply return to home (RTH) when the rth button is pushed. The manual never talks about the immediate climb before it will rth. Many other thing are never addressed in the manual, including the entire settings tab. I would ask that a drone review include a review of the software that controls it . . . from the viewpoint of a novice flyer.
I found it by poking around the software. And yes, that first time I pushed the return to home button and it shot straight up in the air was a surprise. Heart raced a bit.
One thing to keep in mind is that it's only 4k to the local storage. What you see on your phone in the app, or if your doing a screen capture, isn't going to be 4k.

Compared to the DJI Mavic, the default colour temperature, saturation and contrast seems to be a bit on the cool side and washed out. Can this be fixed within the settings of the drone via the app, before post production?
I just got a DJI Mini 3 Pro. These drones from amazon are just toys. If you don't want to spend as much as I did, just get a refurbished DJI mini 2 for around 400.
Its a beautiful dron, but the drifting things is a major odd. It was my first dron, and I was without experience, so my first crash i thought was my fault... I had to buy and repleace an arm.... Now I know its a factory problem, And In México the customer service is very bad. They not even answer.... so now i have a $300 dollar piece of junk... Then I bought the DJI Mini 2, its simply amazing.... So this is beautifull gut I really recomend you to buy other like de DJI MINI SE, better cámera, a little more money, but it is stable as a rock, and the customer service is amazing.
I guess phone cameras are getting too good these days. I've just got one of these and I'm not really impressed with the video and certainly disappointed with the photo quality.
Looks like a pretty good budget drone. It can almost hold its own against DJI, but it also doesn't sucker-punch your bank account like a DJI. Also that location is beautiful.
Decent Quad, however just like ALL Holystone Quads, it's over priced without a significant discount offer, and or sale. I believe the new 720G that releases in the next several weeks, is the one to wait for.
Lousy drone that they won't support. Mine went rogue, flew off, and all they offered me was 35% off my next purchase. Why would I buy another when they don't stand behind their products?
BUYER BEWARE!!! Don't expect this thing to work properly past it's warranty even if you are careful with it! The camera stops connecting and coustemer support will leave you hanging. I got my drone for Christmas 2020 and it worked just fine for the first couple of years, then one day I take it out to fly and it just stopped connecting to anything to view it's camera, rendering the thing useless for drone shots which is the only reason I wanted it in the first place. To add insult to injury, customer support was quick to say there was nothing they can do and even hangs up on me when I ask for alternate fixes. For almost $300 You are better off spending your money elseware.
I buy one already believe👎👎👎👎👎👎 me is not good quality a little of wind start to move is not stable and even the battery doesn't have expiration date and if your battery get damaged is not easy to get a new battery from the company you better by other kind of drone this is friendly advice👎👎👎

Every video I have seen of this and the dji mini se it seems like the dji video quality is much better. Can you comment on both?
Dji quality is better but you gotta expect that..but for what it is its good..i don't think its shooting real 4k though..

Please tell me how you are getting the motors to lock when you catch land and turn it over? Mine do not go off!
I wouldnt recommend catch landing a drone this size, too unstable with a little wind could cut up fingers.

It can record in 3840x2160 pixels. That's "4k".
Your apparently subjective interpretation of what "looks" 4K is totally irrelevant.
The video viewed on a bigger monitor looks about 480p.Excellent chinesium lens😂

Yes, there are many presets as well as easy saturation, contrast etc customization
Also no one mentioned you could see the props in most of the videos

The photos look about 3mp with vaseline smeared on the lens😂 It's a good beginner drone to learn the flight basics before upgrading to DJI.
