Omg, I was almost in tears because I relate SO much to what you were saying in the beginning of your video! I’m also in the third year of my PhD, but I’ve yet to be formally diagnosed with ADHD. I finally took a mental health assessment in February after struggling for so long with what feels like constant anxiety 😮💨. I have an appointment with my doctor next month, so fingers-crossed that I can finally get support 🥲 Thanks so much for sharing your experience 🙏💖
I'm so glad you've been able to take that step in getting an assessment and an appointment, I know it can be really difficult to just get to that point. I hope your doctor is able to help, and you are able to get the support you need! Best of luck with everything, and I hope you can find that balance too!! 💜 and thank you so much :)
I watched your video all the way through, and kept focused on your message. It was hard, I wanted to trail off about Pink Floyd, whether the guitar in the back ground was a jackson, how you're hard on yourself and that I'm hard on myself, and to comment right away because im impulsive and... I just listened to your share. It's taken years to just focus enough to listen... I hear you, and it helps to see someone pursuing their dreams through a challenge like that🤘
I definitely feel this! I swapped over from Focalin to Vyvanse fairly recently, because even the higher doses of Focalin were wearing off within an hour or two of taking it. I was wonky (it felt like my attention would just "slide off" of everything) and lethargic for almost 3 weeks before the Vyvanse started to feel like it was doing anything. It's still not great, but at least now I feel like I can concentrate a *touch* easier. I've not been on it during any serious schoolwork yet, but I'm starting my Master's in a couple of weeks, so hopefully it'll help me maintain!
Thanks for sharing. I’m glad to know I’m not the only one that’s had to dump a whole bottle of pills out because I couldn’t remember if I took a pill. I tried a day-of-the-week pillbox for a while, but I guess I…lost interest? Ha! Did you stick with the new medication?
Haha now I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who has done that too! I also got a pill box, but stopped using it. I did stick with the medication, after a month of adjusting it’s working pretty well for me! :)

Best wishes that the medicine sorts itself out and that you’re able to find that balance! 🙏💖

Good luck!! I hope it does help you with your masters, and that you find the right medicine/dose for you!
Concerta 18mg worked perfectly from the first day (especiallyif I sleep well), maybe I'm lucky
Edit: Extended release
That's great! I'm glad it's working well for you!

Also, your cats remind me of how my two cats are with each other 😂🐈⬛🐈✨
The love/hate kind of relationship? haha 😆
