    I think of the nexus6 as batman. There honestly isn't any special features on it like you said. Just like batman doesn't have any special powers. But that is exactly why I love them both so much. Many phones today have meaningless features that no one really uses half or most of the time. It just makes phones cost even more money. I love that about the nexus 6. It's just a phone with the os. :) It's simple yet affective. I squeeze around 8 hours of battery life on my nexus 6!:D and that is a lot for the huge screen it has. :D thanks for your opinion though. I just wanted to share mine too.

    You made some good points about this device. As far as the lack of features go, there may be some people who want the stock Android and like the simplicity. I agree about the price, it should be a lot less than what they are asking. It may go down soon. I have heard that it suffered from screen burn in also. For the most part I was very disappointed with the device it should

    What about the feature called "set pinning" that would come in really handy for when my son plays with my phone. And as long as the camera is better than that on the Nexus 5, I'm happy with that. My biggest problem with the phone, is just the expandable storage and removable battery. Other than that, I think it's not bad if you can get one for a good price. If you can get it for $300 (roughly.) Like on Craigslist or eBay.

    Everyone, like everyone reviewing this phone always says that it is big, huge, enormous, a mammoth of a phone. Yeah it is definitely bigger, but due to its curved shape and rounded edges it lies comfortablyly even in an average size palm. After you use it for a while, it won't feel big but all the other phones will look small.
    Removable battery and expandable memory are certainly drawbacks though. Not being able to change batteries or add up space ruins the idea of a fully customizable device.

      When I look at these reviews I begin to think going with the Nexus 6 might not be the way to go. I can't help but think of the multitasking features of the Note 4 and better battery life of the Moto X but then two words come to mind... Custom ROM's. No doubt the N6 came up short on the feature set but that problem will be short lived. If your not into customizing then you probably won't get the most that this phone has to offer.

    The battery life depends on on you use your phone on the nexus 6. As a side note I'm always on social media and Facebook is a battery drainer along with Instagram. But as I said it depends on how often your using your phone through out the day.
    The phone is bigger than what I thought it would be but it still feels nice in your hand I'm 6'3 and I have big hands O gotten used to handling this phone one handedly. About the phone not fitting in your pocket? Your pockets must be small as hell because it fits well into my front pocket without the phone even sticking out. And as for my back pocket it barely peeks out of the back not even an inch.
    You can record video in 4k it has not LED notification but has ambient display. No there's no internal battery but no big deal. Loving the turbo charger it comes with you have to completely drain your battery for the turbo charger to kick in. And it does work in about 15 minutes it was over %50 or just at %50 full. I so far have nothing to complain about with this phone except when using WiFi some not all calls go straight to voicemail and they don't even show up under recent calls as missed.
    But its not the phone that is having the issues its the carrier I have sprint for my nexus 6 and its not just sprint other carriers like at&t and Verizon as well if not mistaken get complaints about the same issue. I heard to resolve this though a partition wipe on the phone first and calling whoever your carrier is tell them to refresh but to rebuild your connection or to give you a new line and that should resolve the issue with some calls going straight to voicemail.
    I love this phone this is my second nexus 6 because my first one with at&t right out of the box had an issue with the speaker it was breaking up the sound I sent it back for a replacement at&t gave me a hassle so I told them I don't want to deal with then and I got my money back and switched to sprint. I have had this phone for about a week now and I'm loving it hopefully it continues to give me the satisfaction it has given me so far. Plus I have an extra 20GB of data free with my insurance plan. 😁😁😁 I'm so looking forward for Android M OS for my Nexus 6 later this year.

    @message22610 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The size is big at first but it definitely grows on you. It feels good in hand though. The battery life is not impressive at all. I did like how long the phone lasts when you have the power saving mode on.... Plus the standby time is pretty decent. But I'm a power user so I'm use to the good battery life from the HTC M8 and the note series. Because this is a nexus and it's just bare Google with no added features... I wish they would've added landscape mode to the Google Now launcher.
    One more thing... I have to praise HTC for being the smoothest android phone I've ever used(can't wait to see their implementation of lollipop). I can count how many times my HTC M8 lagged stuttered or glitched. There is lag and stuttering all over this Nexus 6. Opening up something for the first you'll see stuttering, then it'll move smooth. There are so many instances where I see this present that I can't even count. Now I'm curious about the HTC M9.
    Anyway, despite these cons, this phone is still one of the best phones that I've owned and I have no regrets buying it (it's still a joy to browse through this phone).

    the water and dust feature is fine...until the charging port cover breaks off and it is no longer water and dust resistant. This has happened to quite a few friends SGS5's and is only after 6 or so months worth of usage. Such a shame that it is so prone to breaking when its a key, selling features of the s5

  • @ShellymanStudios
    @ShellymanStudios 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    I don't think Quad HD is the one draining the battery life that fast people are complaining about their Nexus 9's battery life as well. Remember iOS 7 has this same exact problem with the battery draining issue when it first released so it got be lollipop is doing it the most.

    After reading reviews seems that you dislike this phone..I own this phone and Im happy with it..all though price is higher it isn't as bad..you own a s5 and that phone is also expensive..as to comparing them both I'd go with less unnecessary things like heart monitor and the finger unlock sensor which is gimmicky.. Also speed wise the s5 lags and slows down because of touchwiz..I bet 90% of people owning those phones they wish they had less bloatware and pure android that is why the google launcher is on the store..nexus 6 is a great phone and with the android community it will improve to be the best it could be..

    Great video buddy, I'd respectfully argue with 5 of your reasons. Reasons 1, 2, 5, and 6 are subjective in my opinion. However, I partially agree with reasons 3 and 4. In my experience, I don't need SD memory cards because I find a cloud storage are more secure and faster. I still think it would be a useful feature for other users. For the batteries, it's never good to not be able to switch batteries in emergency cases but I find my Nexus 6 charge faster than my Note 2 (using the charger that came with the phone) Which I'm not sure if it's me or the phone. Finally, some good features might not be available in Nexus 6 but the fact that the OS is Andriod 5.0 (Lolipop) was good enough reason to buy the phone. To be frank I'm happy I got it, specially with Google Now. Thank you for the video I enjoyed it :).

  • @brandonhall6044
    @brandonhall6044 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm not trying to hate or maybe I am...
    1. "Oh it is huge and you don't like that... don't fucking buy it..."
    2. If you are willing to buy it, price isn't a problem.... most newly released come in at $600-$800... The money doesn't involve the phone...
    3. That is why they offer up to 64 GB of storage, 99% of consumers will say that is a more than solid amount...
    4. Battery life varies between users so much that you can't give facts on it. Some report almost two days... It depends on your varied uses throughout the day...
    5. Once again, if someone is going to complain about the camera, they are either stupid, the salesman didn't mention the MP of the camera, or they didn't recon they take 32 selfies per day, and ask about the camera... So once again don't buy it...
    6. Features.... are you fucking kidding.... Hmm.... Dual Front Speakers. Stock Android L, 2.7 GHz processor-amazing...(the new Galaxy S6 is only 2.1 for a perspective)... Qi, Turbo Charging...
    Well you clearly have no knowledge, I am in the processing of purchasing this phone and was hoping to find a reason I might reconsider... no help... I have countered, reliably, all of your reasons...

    I love my nexus 6 and he lied it fits perfectly in my pockets. Special features? Just like the HTC M8&9 it has front facing speakers which may sound minor but now I can finally watch videos without having to hold my my phone right next to my ear. Oh and you get all the android updates before any other phone, that's always nice. Galaxy owners won't get that for months, and touchwiz sucks IMO.

    come on, how can you compare the 6 plus to the nexus 6, the 6 plus has an 8 megapix for your info and has a 1080 display at 401 ppi...
    The only phone you can compare is the note 4 , they have the same specs exept the camera of the note 4 that has 16 megapix.
    stock android has always been simple , easy and fast to use, this is expected if you're gone buy a google phone.
    at the moment the best camera on the market is the one on the note 4 , bottom line, second position i could say, G3 and Nexus 6 , with G.S 5 are doing great job's.
    Anyway this phone is amazing , i have big hands , so i'll go for it , no doubts , ahahahaahahhhahah

    • @anthonyj810
      @anthonyj810 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yeah, and the Note 4 is $100 more than the nexus 6, yet the nexus 6 has slightly better specs, a newer version of android, and a larger display. But the note 4 is definitely more attractive and has some good features that aren't on the nexus, I'm going with the nexus like you though, upgrading from my Note 3 on t-mobile.

      I had the M7 ( 4 ultra pic ) and the M8 ( 4 ultra pic as well ).. So please don't tell me about high or low pixels.
      I just hate iPhone users as they really don't know how low specs they're buying at amazing prices, the iphone 6 plus cost 950 € ( in france ).
      How can you buy a phone that expensive with such low specs, not even talking about the UI.
      Comparing the latest iphone to the nexus 6 or note 4 is just impossible , these 2 have much higher specs..
      For me, 13 megapix or 16 is better than an iPhone, 8 megapixel sensor, finito .. Aahahhaahhahaha

    • @angelr_fitness2226
      @angelr_fitness2226 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Douglas Duch The relationship between the number of pixels and the physical size of the sensor is why some 8-megapixel cameras can outperform some 12-, 13-, or even 16-megapixel smartphone cameras. I had both the HTC one m7, and the nexus 5 and both cameras sucked, and lagged.. Now about specs it's obvious that you don't know shit. The iPhone 6+ stood to par with the note 4 and there's videos to prove that. So don't talk if you don't know.

    If you want 2-3 day battery life on the Nexus 6, then flash a damn kernel. It's a Nexus and that's why it's a Nexus, for customization! Franco Kernel will vastly improve battery life, stretching your usage to 2-3 days.
    Edit: No special features? Again, it's a Nexus. It comes with Stock Android, which is for minimalists and developers! If you want features then flash a damn ROM!

    • @cameronschluchtner
      @cameronschluchtner 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Any special settings in Franco? My battery was worse after flashing it.

    • @LamborghiniReven1000
      @LamborghiniReven1000 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** really? That's really unusual! I am using complete stock kernel settings and the AOSP rom. After messing around with Xposed (I do not recommend) I'm going to have to re-flash because my battery has gotten worse than before I flashed the Franco kernel.
      If Franco kernel isn't working for you then I'd suggest leankernel. The performance is a little less but the battery life is better over the span of a few days.
      ALSO: Directly after flashing a kernel, your "Predicted battery life left" will not be accurate at all. Give it a few days to average out the time remaining, it will be much more accurate then! Also remember to restart your phone every few days due to memory leaks :)

    • @cameronschluchtner
      @cameronschluchtner 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm hiding on M right now. Battery life isn't great but better then stock L. It could have barfed up because the kernel was compiled for 5.1 and I was on 5.1.1..

    WOW dude? ir blaster is gimmick along with everything on the galaxy line none of it is real world need.I had a note 3 and even the stylus got used minimally. Your Nexus 6 compliant is moot.Its bigger? the batter don't last? I get 1 and a half to 2 days use from my Nexus 6 and I use it for my business.And if 64gb isn't big enough for a phone then something is wrong stop being an app junkie.Oh yeah I forgot to mention the Nexus 6 is waterproof also just like the S5 that you seem to love. and about the camera? I mean really phones are just what they are phones they are not meant be be an SLR or something the cameras in phones these days are a hell of a lot better than flip phones used to be and I don't think I ever seen a flip phone camera gripe at least in mass.if you need more camera the buy just a camera.. the camera on pretty much all phones made to day are more than competent for daily needs.

    Non of these problems bother me
    I don't use my phone the entirety day only about half so the battery life isn't a problem the camera isn't a problem either cause I don't use it much the price makes sense
    And the size is great specials features?that kills stock android why and expanded storage isn't even important because I don't have much data

    The 6 reasons here that this KID is trying to explain are no reason to not get this phone. All these reasons here are known before the purchase not after. If you want to explain a reason why NOT to get a phone, make it reasons that are after purchase not something that everyone already knows. Reason like software glitches, or screen issues, or flawed designs after a much closer look at the device. Ive had this phone since release and it has been hands down, best phone I've ever had. Screen is always bright and crisp. Phone calls are awesome and clear no matter where I am. Size is perfect and if it wasn't a good size for me, again I knew the size before the purchase. Stock android isn't ment to have special features. IT'S STOCK FOR A DAMN REASON!!!!!! You want special features? Go get the bloatware loaded LG's or Samsung's. Nexus has always been stock Android and will forever be stock Android.

    I have the Note 4 and the IR blaster is so so, it's on the phone just to be able to say "my phone has an IR blaster"..with wifi...who needs an IR blaster anyway. Just connect your phone to your cable providers wifi network and boom...you have a remote control. I have the nexus 6 as well and I can say that the nexus 6 will be appreciated by anyone who wants a true android experience when using there phone. The Note 4 is the swiss army knife of smart phones..it slices, it dices and so on and so on. But keep in mind that the Note 4's features are all in an effort to hide the fact that the features are.....well mostly useless. The camera on the Note 4 has way too many gimmicks and the Touch Wiz lag is rediculous to say the least. Although the Nexus has none of the useless features like the Note 4...it does offer one thing the Note 4 will never be able to offer as long as the device suffers from Touch Wiz and that is speed.
    So I have had the Note, Note 2, Note 3 and now the Note 4 and the Nexus 6....the Nexus 6 is a welcomed change for me. I'm selling my Note 4 becuase if you have the Note 3....you have the Note 4 the only difference is a metal frame around the outside....and trust me ...there is no difference that the human eye can really see when it comes to a 13mgp camera and a 16mgp camera...another Samsung gimmick.

    The way Google is going with their devices disappoints me. They literally said let's take the highest trending specs & slap onto a 6" plastic back Phone call it innovation; the same as I phones but at least Apple knows how to Optimize its Hardware/Software. Nexus 6 is bad investment from the Nexus 5. Even tho the CPU is fast its tech not 64 bit but the software is so its going to be hard to play 64 bit games with optimized performance next year. If your CPU/GPU is not Optimized to be insync with the Software it will lag no matter how stock it is. The camera is trash no optics or better image processing just a wide ap & bigger mp.

    LOL you are picking really small problems, like this phone is made for people with big hands not small cough cough you. And you compare the iphone 6 plus and note 4 a lot with this even though they are more money? Its really hard to find problems with this phone if you compare it to phones like it (in my opinion). But yes the battery life is ok but not mind blowing but again that would be the really only big problem i mean everything else is your opinion like how it feels or the size...

    IR blaster? Why would a phone need a phone need a IR blaster? 😆 I'm sorry, but no phone needs an IR blaster(but I'm guessing Samsung thinks so), it just adds more of a price on it XD my nephew was trying show off his IR blaster XD and i was like "I hope you know that most things back when my boyfriend was your age had those.... It's not new or cool it's more money going into something😂😂"
    With all that being said. You forgot about the MAJOR BURNIN. Yes the ghost effect of dead pixels. Sad to see that this expensive ass phone I almost bought has an old ass panel 😆. That's why I wait for phones to get reviews before blindly updating to them 😂😆.

      I do respect this video though. Some of the reasons no one is going to believe. But I do agree. Instead of an IR blaster. They could put expandable storage in.
