I really like it too! At first I was not a fan, but it grew on me and really improved the immersion. It makes you think how you finish the finish line, as you can still break the car if you do something wild.
Stopping by the marshalls is such a waste of time for anyone who actually plays the game a lot and just wants to race. After a while, that feature becomes quite annoying. In the DR2, I would purposely run into the marshall at speed so it would skip that whole waste of time😄
The "Samir" audio being spot on with the scene made my day hahaha. Something that I particulaly like in this video is the AI also suffering with car problems, as in WRC Generations it feels like I am the only one struggling with damage and mistakes, even though times are somewhat randomized for them, it doesn't feel the same. Well, the game really looks like a lot of fun, and great video as always.
Minor things I'm excited about: Repairs seem to take pretty long, making it more realistic and forcing you to be more careful with the car, just like in real life. A wheel change takes 90 seconds. Finally a realistic time (and I hope it can't be brought down in some way, like in DR2.0, tyre changes in 60 or as little as 30 seconds were absurd). Only 5 runs of shakedown, just like in real life. The option for bonus points (I suppose that's Power Stage bonus points). The co-driver reacting accordingly at the end of the stage, even telling you your time (hopefully no more "We are the champions, hard work pays off" at the end of the first rally in the championship, or "Do you want to make any setup changes at the next service?" just after you drove through the flying finish of the last stage, though it was pretty hilarious).
I'm amazed of what I'm seeing so far. Tyre management is there, the scenery even on medium settings and on a not officially release is already looking great, I've also saw a huge improvement on tarmac physics so this game is looking so promising congrats Code and EA
Biggest negative for me is that the co-driver no longer sounds like he is in the car with you while reading pace notes. In the previous games the infliction of his voice matched the changes to the terrain and it was much more immersive

audi sounds horrible
The laziest developed game ever just port dirt rally over to unreal engine the graphics just higher res dirt rally the menus boring codemasters menus really this is utter laziness I can't imagine what the yearly updates will be like pmsl I'll wait till it goes on ea play
Im disappointed with the comment that i feels like dr2 and I certainly am unimpressed with the stages. This is just dr3 whoch is not a good thing for me as i honestly didnt like how dr1/2 drove at all
It’s a downgrade visually from Dirt Rally 2.0. How is this possible?
What? It obviously looks much better.
Rain effect looks like 90s game... low budget game probably, they took interns to do it.
Codemasters raised to to the power of EA.
Hardly a surprise.
They ruined Project Cars.
This is better than Dirt rallys. How is dirt rally so bad compared to EA SPORTS WRC?
I've just come from playing Dirt Rally. This is clearly higher fidelity.
Graphics looks like potato. And assets directly from Dirt Rally 1.0, what a shame. This game looks closer to FlatOut 2, than modern 2023-2024 game
Grafic Troll Number 2023😂
Visually very disappointing especially in certain locations
noob 2 hand driving
holy moly do'in dolly! thanks overtake dot cici
The character models are god-awful still. The contrast on the facial shadows is still as bad as DR2.
Really, this is just DR3 but partnered with EA. Why didn't Codemasters just release DR3 on their own?
The lack of support for triple displays is heartbreaking.
Because WRC license
Graphics are terrible, it looks like an Xbox 360 game. The cars move like cardboard boxes, no weight transition, no suspension whatsoever. WTF.
Be quiet
These Grafic Trolls are so anoing 😂A Rally game will never look like Uncharted or the TLoU
They lied again !!! no triple support. Trash.
Embarrassingly poor rain effects. Very dated graphics. Solid skip.
Once I heard that Dirt Rally 2.0 devs were on the wagon with EA WRC.. I just knew this was going to make me forget all about the disaster that is Forza M8
Looks fantastic and thank you for the review! Excellent work 🫡
I look really promising. I can't wait.
Disaster…whatever
