Thank You Musa for conducting this amazing interview, we are glad you were able to connect with our CEO, and share his story. We hopefully wish to do more updates, and collaboration in the future.😁👍🏾
The Java coffee shops were founded by an American chef who noticed that there were no Starbucks-like coffee drinks. He introduced lattes, mochas, cappuccinos, and other Starbucks-like coffee drinks using Kenyan-grown coffee that he roasted and grinded. He started with one shop in 1999 and sold them in 2019 for $100m when they were doing revenues of $40m a year. The trick is to see what's in America that's not here and whether the locals will accept it.
Lol...he didn't introduce cappuccino lattes and the like there were so many cafés that would serve those way before, when I was a teen in the mid nineties I would go to Pasaras, Carnivore, The Stanley, Intercontinental, Hilton, Green corner with their amazing tiramisu and pastries etc.....
@@frana.4086 intercontinental, Green corner and the hilton closed, but these coffees and pastries are common place in so many cafés around Nairobi and across the country.
Welcome to Nairobi my brothers. This is your home! Here you are NOT a black man - you are simply a MAN! No profiling, no racially targeted traffic stops, no gun violence (no gunshots going off) but good people, good food, fresh air and peaceful existence. Don't let no one tell you that Africans don't love black America because that would mean we don't love ourselves which is a big lie. Happy to see our people coming back home to stay. Karibu nyumbani.
From the Gems to the Business Ventures, and how to go about starting a business in Kenya 🇰🇪 this is phenomenal Work! Asante sana for sharing your story Akili and as always Great job 👏🏾 Mfalme! 🎉
This Brother is warm and funny. Made me laugh. Thanks for opening up a business and employing Kenyan. Karibu nyumbani. Asante Mfalme Musa for the interview
As Kenyan i Really appreciate this AA Brother for Doing Business in Nairobi... I really wish him all the Best... for a foreigner with a thousand dollars, you get: 1. Incorporation 9Certificate of registration) 2. CR12 (a certificate showing list of directors, registered local addres etc) 3. KRA PIN certificate 4. KRA Tax Compliance (basically to show you pay taxes annually) 5. Business Permit (self explanatory) 6. pocket change from the $1,000 after that, you have your limited company legally ready to do whatever you want.
Easiest way to start a business in Kenya. Visit Kenya, take your time and try to see what you would want to have that Kenyans don't have based on your experiences in the US. Solve that problem using what works in the US and you have the business.
Sweat is different in Ghana too! My feet were so funky! 😂😂 I think it's the toxins leaving our bodies, which we don't experience because we continuously put toxins in our bodies from the food.
musa i feel there is a gap in bussiness that african americans can do in kenya contry side. and it is how about setting up Air BnB IN THE Villages targetting the black americans. so that they can have a feel of the actual village life and see how the living styles can give them therapeutic experience, see how people live free of hustle and bustle of town life
Problem with villages is ancestral lands..You know how those lands can create issues even for Kenyans..It's best they stick to the cities and visit the villages
Very valuable interview. This guy is so sharp! Just bought my piki piki this year. Scared as hell in traffic. For now i stay on feeder roads in the village.
I’m a nurse in the diaspora a respiratory vent clinician.Thats real food, you’ll not need medicine in your old age.And here!you’d be lucky to grow old without pills.
This was a good one and hopefully this paves the way for folks back at home who are thinking of coming to the motherland. Continue dropping them @Mfalme Musa.
The less time you eat, the lower your chance of Insulin Resistance. As you increase the number of time you consume starch/sugar, Proteins, and Fats, the greater you chance to develop Insulin Resistance and all the other related illnesses.
Thank you very much for your love for Kenya and Africa, you are truly son of the land and we are truly proud of you ,feel free cause this is your home we love you unconditionally
Dope content Mr Musa. On the sweat thing, it’s about the humidity. When you in Mombasa or other humid areas, the sweat don’t stink but in Nairobi, you gotta wear that deodorant and maybe even carry your cologne with you.
Thank you brother Musa for your very informative and inspirational videos. You're a great interviewer. You ask the right questions so your viewers are well educated and informed. God Bless you.
Brotha M. is bringing these golden nuggets. He asked all of the right questions, and Bro. Akil was firing right back with the knowledge! Big businesses start small. All you need is $1k, unwavering faith, an open mind to hear, and a serious drive to see it through. Why don't we stop making millions for them other people and do it for ourselves, while helping others on the continent? My intention was to come to retire, but after hearing this brother, and reading the comments.....recalculating 🤔 Great interview 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
