      It is a good business model as long as you have trustworthy staff who are not stealing from you. Then it becomes a passive business in your absence. If not, it is not worth the investment. Better invest in property as a secure passive income generator.

    • @thesquid2794
      @thesquid2794 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RICARDO-hz3hv * I took that into consideration, I had to learn that while working with expensive surgical equipment and being accountable with a paper trail for last person of use. Hopefully, myself or my daughter maybe moving to whatever English speaking part of Africa that agrees with our happiness to thrive. And thank you for the great advice! 🙂

    Thanks Dr.Harnet for your business ideas. Such business idea is very common here in Egypt, you can find it on the red sea beaches. i visited some African countries for business and I would like to say that the even while one is running his own business there still have too many troubles with people working and with corruption. if you are not running your own business in Africa please don't start otherwise you are going to lose a lot of money. Dr.Harnet thought first that the owner of that business in Zanzibar is from Europe, that mean that Dr.Harnet still not trusting there are african entrepreneurs who are able to do such business?!

    Thank you for sharing Dr Harnet. I'm glad you mentioned Namibia 🇳🇦, came back from the coastal city Swakopmund. A paradise. The only parameter I'll need to take in consideration for the waterfront is the high season. Mainly in December...only. And some days off during the year where the population of Windhoek leave the capital for the coast.

      Fantastic to hear, Eric! The plan to visit Namibia is high on my list. Yes, I agree, assessing the potential & dynamics of this business model within a given local market in Africa is key. The beauty is that this business has minimal monthly expenses, and hence it makes a great passive income investment in my view. Think of it as having $10,000 invested in that as compared to they money sitting in a US bank these days :) Wishing you all the best!

    Who is investing in African entrepreneurs? Business ideas is not the problem. The issue is who is going to financially back poor African diasporans who have the time and interest to do the business but don't have income? Our number of underemployed and unemployed is massive. Upwards of 50%

    • @dr.harnet466
      @dr.harnet466  ปีที่แล้ว +14

      I hear you. But waiting for money is never the option if you want to get out of poverty or unemployment. Like many others, I started my African business journey with 2 little children, 'homeless', in debt, and emotionally broken....hence I know exactly what you are talking about. I had a pretty bad poverty mindset. In this case the journey starts with working on your MINDSET. It is the collective mindset of poverty one needs to shift in order to change the status quo. There are many wonderful mindset teachers out there already, including online. I teach mindset, too, but my primary focus is showing those who are ready how to do business in Africa.

    Snorkeling or scuba diving? The equipment for scuba diving would be more expensive. I would think lakes would be too dangerous due to the risk of being attacked by crocodiles.

    • @dr.harnet466
      @dr.harnet466  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good point, but not all lakes in Africa have crocodiles. Start with snorkeling and other cheaper offerings such as wind surfing to test your business model and the location. Once you realize you have the perfect fit, you can invest in more expensive offerings.
