I have a cousin who never studied much,we studied together but she gives most of her time to her phone than studies after writing AMC MCQ1, she passed and I failed😣, I asked her how she did it, just found out she got her help from Mr Thomas ..
Thank you very informative and helpful! Keep it coming doctors and congrats on your recent succeesses. Hope you can share resources of the books you've mentioned here. Thank you.
Hello. Have you encountered "The Medical Journal of Australia"? When I search for some guidelines, there are guidelines which they have authored. Is it a reliable source?
Hi, i am medical graduate from Philippines and was currently exploring about amc when i come across your video. Sincerely thankful to you both as its so motivating to listen from you guys. Good luck for your future and keep making such guidance videos . I wil always follow you guys Thanks again
hi! great video! Thank you for this concise information. I would like to know the advantage of having MRCSuk with AMC part 1 during applying for a job in Australia.
Thank you doctors for sharing your journey, truly a great help to someone like me. Can I if you read the books from cover to cover? Again thank you so much🙏🏻
Thank you so much doctors! I recently decided to go for AMC and have just started to dip my toes through the whole process. If i may, how/what was your approach for the the 3 recommended books for AMC? (Handbook of MCQs, Anthology of Medical Condition, and John Murtagh) do you recommended reading one before the other? something like that. hehe
Hi, we started with handbook of MCQs and we finished this cover to cover. For the anthology, we mostly just checked the pictures few days before our exam. For the John Murtagh, we didn’t read this cover to cover, we only read the topics that we encountered while studying since it’s quite lengthy. All the best with your exam! 😍
Hi, how do I avoid memorizing the mcqs? I’m preparing for the amc and am answering qbanks from mplusx as you suggested. My exam is on the 16th of March so theres not much time for me. Currently my aim is to complete all the questions in mplusx, which means I have to answer 120 questions per day. My main resource for reading (quick reading to be honest) is Dynamed (because I subscribed to RACGP membership). And online references are much faster than having to go through CPGs or the John Murtagh textbook. I still read the CPG for vaccinations and health/cancer screening topics though. My issue now is, I find myself accidentally memorizing the mcqs because I like to redo the questions. I literally had this thought ‘Omg am I doing exactly what M&M said NOT to do??’
Hi, it’s expected to get used to the questions but just make sure that you fully-understand the topic in the question that even if they change some keywords, you would still be able to get the right answer. Bec if you keep answering the same question, it’s kind of like your brain makes less of an effort to analyze it and instead just looks for the memorized answer or the usual answer. Kind of like that. So be careful and read the question thoroughly since the questions can be tricky.

They say third times a charm, I've officially passed AMC MCQ1🎉🎉 for all my repeat test takers don't give up and don't be discouraged.
I failed 3 times, i lost money to reviews that never helped but the major thing is that I've not lost hope
Passing the AMC MCQ1 is when you study hard,if you can't study or you don't have time for your studies I'd advise you get yourself help like Mr Thomas
I had interest in working with him but I was discouraged by my friends out of ignorance 😔

Sometimes hard work doesn’t pay you have to back it up with smartness🤓, I think your cousin understood that perfectly😊
I did the same when I was studying for this exam! I can attest that this is a very effective strategy for passing the AMC MCQ test.
Wow thanks for the support! Congrats on passing your exam! 👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you for sharing your experience

Wahh thank you po tita!! 🥹❤️ kayo po ang OG 🙌🏻
Thanks for sharing valuable information with us. Can put more light on ethics mcqs? Where to get material or what to study?
Great video. Thanks. I'm only using amedex for study. Didn't use any books for reference. Do you think I should? Just 4 weeks more...
Hi, if you only have 4 weeks we advise just doing recalls. But if you have more time, the handbook of MCQs is a good reference.
hi! great video! Thank you for this concise information. I would like to know the advantage of having MRCSuk with AMC part 1 during applying for a job in Australia.
Hi thank you, sorry we are not familiar with MRCS in UK :(
Thank you doctors for sharing your journey, truly a great help to someone like me.
Can I if you read the books from cover to cover?
Again thank you so much🙏🏻
Hi, no did not read it cover to cover. We don’t advise it unless you really have lots of time. Better to read per topic as needed.

In this video you said that you recently pass the exam that means you just have completed MD course. So was your Clerkship online or Face to face?

Hii can u help me regarding amc ??
Hi
Where did you buy these references in the Philippines? Any leads?
Hi you can check shopee, but for us we used soft copies & prefer them 😊 we only asked copies from our friends who went ahead of us
Are you able to share softcopies?
hello are you 1st take passers ?
Hello yes :)
Without the internship is that possible to participate in this exam ?
Hi as far as we know, no you don’t need internship to take the AMC MCQ. However you do need it when applying for registration as an IMG.
How much did AMC 1 cost 💲??
Hi, it’s 2720 aud. But starting Jan 2023 the fee will increase to 2920 aud. You can check the AMC website for more details.
Can u plz guide how did u guys studied recalls? What were the resources?
Hi, we studied the topics we encounter in the recalls and the possible questions they could ask. We used our notes, guidelines and recommended books to answer them. Best of luck!
