Excellent guide! Here's a bit of extra info for any that was having a similar problem like I was. My replacement LCD come without power or volume buttons. Simply push the buttons out from the inside. Also, there were a few extra parts I had to move over from the old phone, take a close look before you close up.
Buddy, I couldn't comment on the video lg g2 settings you posted!!!! Dude!!!! You saved my life!! I just wanted to tell you thank you so much and I thought I was gonna have to root my phone and big pain in the ass but you helped me out so much!!! Had to contact you. Thank you!!!!!! 😊😊😊😊
rhett norris Wow thanks you just made my night! Glad you left the comment. Thanks for letting me know! I will have to see why you weren't able to comment on the other video.. Take care.
You sir are a life saver!!! I agree with the other comments that this is the best tutorial I have ever watched. You are so precise and articulate and I greatly appreciate you taking the time to make this video.
Dear Smart Easy Repair, thank you for creating this very well made video. I have never replaced a cracked screen on a phone before, and your video help guide me through it step by step. One tip that I would recommend you put in your notes is some of the replacement LCD screens don't come with the buttons on it; so, you will have to pull out the power button and volume buttons from your old screen. To this, I had to take the small flat head screw driver and pop it out from the inside. It's just a rubber gasket that holds it in place. Anyway, thank you again!
What an excellent video! Your calm, patient demeanor makes it easy to do such an intricate task. I was a bit nervous to make this change, but your complete instructions gave me the courage I needed. THANK YOU!!! I used the link you showed to obtain the assembly and purchased it in nearby Fort Worth (next "town" over) and received it in just a couple of days. You could tell the unit had been used, but not so much as to be disturbing. Quite a nice trade-out for a screen that had been shattered. :D I noted two things in my otherwise uneventful changeover. At 6 minutes you discussed pulling the Rear camera from the frame. It took me a couple of replays to realize mine had come out with the processor board. :) Also, with the frame I received, the volume and power buttons had been pulled. It took me a few minutes of figuring, but both buttons simply push out of the frame from the inside (I used a 3x40 screwdriver to lever them out) and then just push right back in on the "new" frame quite readily. When you go to push them out, just make sure the contact ribbon for both are out of the way; just pull them up and put them back when the buttons are in place.
Well thanks for the feedback. Hopefully it will help others too if they run into that. Sorry for the trouble but sounds like you got it figured out ok. Great job sir!!! I'm glad to help.
hey man this was awesome thank you so much! I savesd $150. also don't know if this helps for anyone but I used the link for the screen you provided and it came without the power button, luckly I was alble to swap that from what I learned in the video:)
Great video. My phone is like new again. Only small issue was that in your video the power and volume buttons are on the new frame. Mine arrived without these installed. I gently pried out the switch at the top and then gently pushed out the power button from the inside to the outside of the frame to remove it. Gently pushed the button through the frame hole and it went in fine. Installed the switch from the old frame. Did basically the same for the volume switch and buttons. Anyway thanks for the help :)
Smart Easy Repair yeah well if it wasn't my only phone I'd definitely without a doubt try to do this myself... But since it is my only phone I'm just going to leave it to the pros so I'm not at fault if it gets messed up somehow...
Whats up buddy, great video....listen wanted to purchase the right tool set but not sure which one to order i dont see the 000 screw driver....let me know if you can...thanks again
Hi thanks. If you follow the link in the video description you will find in the list a kings dun 28 piece set. I see that one has the 000 Phillips. Thanks. Take care.
+willingston dwyer I think it should fit. I have a link in the video description where you can find some screens and when you're looking at one in particular they should specify in the item description which models they fit so I would make sure.
+Robert Liebeg I don't have the part number, but I do have a link in the video description below the video where you can find some different ones you just have to check the description of each listing to verify that it works with your model phone.
my galaxy note edge got a new problem today. vertically right half is black and left half is normal. but i can access all screen fine. wat can be the problem ? do i need to replace screen or its any small issue to fix ? any1 drop me reply and help me. tq/
+sri abhi before I replace a screen I would check the connection to the screen it sounds like it may have loosened up or something. If that doesn’t do it then you probably need to change screens.
Smart Easy Repair i dnt understand this exact half black and half normal thing. Touch working entirely fine. I never dropped any mobile ever. Flashed latest stock firware to get rid of root and all. Now its working fine. Dnt know id this half black screen comes back. Any1 ever seen this half black screen !!!
I'm not sure on the volume buttons. th-cam.com/video/7O0KtCoMOe0/w-d-xo.html here's one I did on replacing the power button so that's how that comes apart.
They should specify in the listing which models they fit. I think the v is for Verizon model. Some are specific but some are for all models it seems. I would check in the listing of the one you’re interested in.
+Ces Vazquez It all depends if it's oem pulled off a working phone or aftermarket. Mine was 250 at the time and off a new phone so it was oem. I think they all work pretty well.

+YeppHooligans Awesome I'm so glad it worked for you! Good job on your repair!!
Best tutorial thank you so much. I saw on eBay a LCD replacement but I wonder if is original, because is cheaper and it doesn't have the Samsung logo.

Awesome good job! I'm glad you figured it out ok. Hopefully this will help others if they encounter the same thing.

+A Pagano That's why I made it look easy so you can do it yourself. :)

do you know if they sell the screen assembly like the one in this video but for the regular note 4?
Great Video!..... just confirming the link for the LCD screen. E-Bay, correct? Was there a specific seller that you would recommend.
+Mark Moffit Yes that's right. I link to a variety so you can choose. I would look for oem quality is the main thing. Thanks.
Awesome.... Thanks. Once again, great video.
+Mark Moffit Thanks.
so where did you order the screen lcd digitizer and frame from?
+V R Longoria I have a link in the video description below the video where I got mine.

+thewatcher Yes I started doing that in my later videos. :)

So nice it works !!
THANK you
Thanks I'm so glad!! Good job!!
does the frame have to be the same carrier as your old one ?
There may be small differences. The best thing work be to check the description of the listing usually they specify which models they fit. Thanks.
I wanted to see it turn on lol. But great video.
Yeah I didn’t just to keep the video as short as I could but I did start doing that in more recent videos. Thanks
great vid buddy..
+richandshirl Thanks!
Good job bro
+Ayhan As Thanks!
great video tnks a lott
+Andy Roach Thanks!
where u can buy the lcd with the frame?
I have a link in the video description where I found it for the best price. Thanks.
unfortunately, it just sends you to eBay
does the s pen still work after assembly?
Yes mine worked great.
i need your help. i have a samsung note edge n915g, can i get a screen that is n915 or it must have to 'G' on it??
+willingston dwyer I think it should fit. I have a link in the video description where you can find some screens and when you're looking at one in particular they should specify in the item description which models they fit so I would make sure.
ok thanks
I have a white note edge the link you send there is a lot of screen which one is better
and the price on it plz
I like to personally look for oem ones that means it came from a real Samsung phone. But I think they are all pretty good anymore.
I got mine for 249. Which was a lot cheaper than buying a new phone! Lol
By switching everything over will I still have all of my files on the new one ??
+Latrice McKinnon Yes since that's stored on your logic Board.
That's A Relief, I Was Worried That All My Files Were Going To Be Lost. Thank You
+Latrice McKinnon You're welcome. Best of luck on your repair!
Do you have the part number for it
+Robert Liebeg I don't have the part number, but I do have a link in the video description below the video where you can find some different ones you just have to check the description of each listing to verify that it works with your model phone.
hi does the frame come with a s pen
Mine didn't. They should specify in the listing if they do.
Does any s pen work with any galaxy note
I don't think so. I think they are made a little different.
my galaxy note edge got a new problem today. vertically right half is black and left half is normal. but i can access all screen fine. wat can be the problem ? do i need to replace screen or its any small issue to fix ? any1 drop me reply and help me. tq/

+sri abhi that’s weird maybe it’s a software issue then instead of hardware
did it work? I didnt see it turn on.
Yes it worked great!
Cheers man, it would of cost me $295 Aud which is half what the phone is worth to get it done at the shop.
+Joshua Klynsoon Thanks I'm glad it helped.
+Joshua Klynsoon It's always fun to save money.
my frame doesn't come with the power and volume buttons...how do you swap those buttons...very hard to remove from the old frame.
I'm not sure on the volume buttons. th-cam.com/video/7O0KtCoMOe0/w-d-xo.html here's one I did on replacing the power button so that's how that comes apart.
+Smart Easy Repair that's just the flex cable for the power. I was talking about the button itself. How do you remove the button from the frame?
mere mobile ke screen pr ek line aa gyi hai mai kya kry yhi set hai..new screen lgana hoga ya..fir yhi shi ho sakta hai..???
+GOLU KUMAR I'm sorry I don't understand.
ay how much u u charge for this?
+George Losangeles I made this video in hopes of helping you to do it yourself.
I'm replacing my screen on my phone do I need a n915v screen or will anyone work
They should specify in the listing which models they fit. I think the v is for Verizon model. Some are specific but some are for all models it seems. I would check in the listing of the one you’re interested in.
how much did you pay for it. I see some that are 200 and some for 400. how come.
+Ces Vazquez It all depends if it's oem pulled off a working phone or aftermarket. Mine was 250 at the time and off a new phone so it was oem. I think they all work pretty well.
+Smart Easy Repair Just to be safe. the package has to have the lcd screen, digitizer and harness right.
Yes I'm not sure what you mean by harness but I'm guessing the flex cables. It also needs a frame. Well it's easier anyways. Like I show in the video.
+Smart Easy Repair yeah the lcd the digitizer and the frame lol.
Haha no prob.
@10:10 drops mother board...
Just tipped a little bit. 😉
