Bit of an update: the axle nut threads on my taurus driver side axle were slightly undersized causing removal and installation issues but I did get a new nut and no issues. Also I had to replace my driver side cv axle this week and my lower control arms. That method of not touching the strut and using an impact to remove the 24mm ball joint nut made the whole job a breeze thankfully.

I recently replaced my front driver side wheel bearing and my axle nut was tight coming off the threads. I think when they were manufactured the threading insert was worn out and resulted in a slight oversized condition resulting in the tough removal, though it was stripped or cross threaded surprisingly. Mine was a 2015 and I also did the passenger front wheel bearing and it zipped right off.

@@RBTheMechanic im so sorry, turns out the lady at the part store gave us a front left not front right. We had been slide hammering the damper, we unscrewed the 2 bits that held it in and came out so easily
