Great video man! I've only started using Reaper this week from Cubase and your vids have got me up to speed and functioning in just a few days. Thanks man!
don't necesseraly need an extra track. Just put any trim plug-in on the original reverb track BEFORE the reverb. And if you need two groups, use 2 trim plug-ins. Send your second group of track on channel 3-4 and use the pin connector on the second plug in like this : INs : 3/4 , Outs' -1/2. Trim plug-ins can be Reaeq and so you can separetely eqing group of sends BEFORE HITTING the reverb
I whish we could just link the sends of the selected tracks to move them at the same time, or maybe include sends in the group parameters. The less tracks I have to deal with, the better. Anyway, thanks for the video!
Thanks Kenny, good video including the automation and KB shortcuts. I'm surprised you cannot select a bunch of sends directly, considering you can do almost anything with Reaper.
Wouldn't adjusting the fader on the effect send change the level of all of the sends going into it, essentially doing the same thing as adding the group send?
Hey Kenny, what do you mean by a "sample of a room"? (Sorry.. still learning a lot) Where do you find/make samples of rooms/halls to insert into ReaVerb? Also, do you know of any tutorials on the JS plugins? Thanks again for everything!
You can search "Impulse Response Reverbs" or "IR Reverbs" and learn all about them. It's just a short sample of a room that you can use with ReaVerb. Search "Free IR" or "Impulse Response" and you'll find plenty.
I don't mean to be a hater but this seems crazy just to group sends. Is it possible to group the sends without having to create an extra track? What if I want to have nested groups like a group for kicks, one for snares, one for toms, one for overhead mics, and then another for all drum mics? Would I have to set up 5 tracks just to group the sends?

Nice Tip, thank you Reno ! Although i find Kenny's way more "transparent".

That is a really great tip. Thanks Kenny!
There is also the Volume PreFX envelope which can do the trick !

Awesome, thanks Kenny!!
Very useful, thanks Kenny!
Nice trick. Will use this for sure to fix a problem that has bugged me before.

when you bring down the fader of track with reverb on it, you will cut reverb tails.
Why can't we use the volume fader on the track with reverb? Why should we create another track?
MrSledz1 u can but when u do it with another track u have more wiggle room. Example : effect reverb separately
for situations where you use this fx track for other sources for which you wish to keep it at the set level

Or you can get the exact same results by just automating the effects return track instead of creating an additional master send track.
That’s what i was thinking. Maybe im missing something
Very useful, gotta try it :D

you don't have to if you don't want to
since it's not possible otherwise the trick comes in handy
