Oh man, English is littered with Idioms. I can't handle translations worth a damn. Practically every sentence in school I tried to work was blocked because I didn't know what word/meaning I was actually going for, to be begin with. The French teacher kept explaining that I couldn't use those particular words, and to use other ones. I said that I want to translate the ones I wanted, what do you mean it doesn't work? If I wanted to use those other words for the French sentence, then I would have spoke them in English. Further more, the grammar didn't help. I could not grasp at all, how a sentence gets its words moved around, phantom words added, and such, from one language to another. That entire section of understanding was lost on me.
