    As a proud owner of 5 jettas and 1 passat I always have a gas problem,but the only thing I got to do is do the speed limit

      If im going for the best mpg, i usually drive 5 under the limit if roads arnt busy. Still need to work on my throttle control, though

    If you want to get better mpg. Keep your car stock. The air filter VW install from the factory is not restricting hp.

    I have a stage 2 tune on my 2012 gli , is there a specific way that I would need to change the sparks plug? Also your videos are LIFESAVERS, i will be using them for upcoming maintenances. Thank you for the videos !

      @JoelsDriveway  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Same as usual. They might need to be gapped differently. From what I've seen, recommended plug gap is 0.028 but I would verify with your specific tune manual/spec sheet. Thanks for watching! 🙏🤙

    My mileage on my tiguan was great until my mechanic put in a new coil pack and plug. Now the mileage is terrible, any idea why?

      Possibly didn’t gap them correctly

      It’s best to do those things yourself so you know you’re getting quality parts. It’s like getting an oil change asking for the best oil when they really give you the lowest grade oil

    Dielectric grease on all electric connections. Many benefits. The People's cars rule!!!!

    • @cloudstrife6435
      @cloudstrife6435 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dielectric grease on voltage sensitive sensors is a good way to have issues. It works great for bulbs, but not anything ECU related. It only helps one way voltage, but if there is a variable voltage read across the connector, you'll have all kinds of electrical gremlins.

    • @dudeman7917
      @dudeman7917 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree with this 100%, ive actually seen dielectric grease create a misfire, ideally you just need an extremely thin film of it on the tip of the plug that the coil plugs into just to keep the rubber in the coil from sticking to the plug.

    Tip: tpms light can be a hassle, and the sensor itself can mess with the balance of your wheel, take it off and deactivate the tpms system 🙂

    Tire pressure up from 33psi to 45psi Doesn't make a noticable difference over 60kph anyways. At those speeds It's the weight and aerodynamics that affects your milage the most.

      When I put gas in my Jetta, it gives me 395 miles per tank the tank size is 14.5. Four months ago I went to the VW dealership Because there was a recall about the software, but now when I put gas in, it shows 280-285. I then called the other dealers and asked if there was a recall and they said there was no recall for the van number I gave them. Thanks for the help my car is a 2015 Jetta
