I have a AT&T modem/router combo set bridged via an Ethernet cable to a Netgear router with VPN installed. I'm attempting to update the Netgear firmware using the Nighthawk app, but the app doesn't recognize the WiFi, and I can't access the router account and not even on the browser.I've spent 4 hours on this and haven't made progress. Plz, any guidance would be greatly appreciated. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Yes it need to be connected to main router , However when you use repeater option you should able to extend existing WiFi network and able to connect wirelessly, I will upload tutorial to do that. Please see tutorial I uploaded for wireless connectivity using bridge mode
Very informational! However I wish you would've shown how to use repeater mode. My set up is that I need a router to extend my range.
Sure ! I will cover repeater mode in my next video, I uploaded video on Bridge mode setup
What if the main router is in Bridge mode and you have taken all the wifi off of it? Can AP Mode work still?

thanks fixed my problem
In a power failure, could the ip address(acquired from the main router) of the access point change?
in this setup, does the added router always need to be connected to the main one?

When trying to login to the second router (connected to the main router) it does not allow find the second router in order to configure as an AP.
Need your support in configuring NETGEAR ACCESS POINT
I can't even log into my old router to change any settings. I have hooked up the same way and I have no internet.
Can't connect to the IP address after the first step. Now I don't have an internet connection.
Man, you're so hard to understand, and then you speak so fast!.... couldn't get what all you meant :(
