I have this router. I really do like it. It’s great quality and extremely reliable connection. It has one major flaw, however, that Netgear could easily address via firmware update: Its Port Triggering interface is horrendous. You can of course specify a range of ports that will be delivered to a device. But the problem is, you can only list one specific port as the triggering port. It needs to be a RANGE of ports for both trigger and deliver. Linksys routers get this right. And please, don’t tell me to use Port Forwarding. It is inferior to Triggering because port forwarding reserves a port for one device. But then if you have another device that needs that port, you’re out of luck.
I stream tv on 3 tvs all day long. 74 terabyte s a month. Netgear never fails. Been going strong for over 5 years now. It tops out at 100 but that's as high as my asset up goes so I'm fine with it.
I just installed one of these last night as a 5 GHz bridge. It's the only successful way of getting connectivity to a remotely located building on my property. I wasn't sure if it was going to do the trick, but so far so good. Great router.

Actually idk about the wifi part being the issue but a terrible router can be an issue as well .comcast gave me the worst 1st party router modem if I connect more than 2 devices on it whether its ethernet or wifi I start disconnecting in and out randomly even at gigabit bandwidth but once I switched to a half decent router things suddenly worked perfectly.

I used to get up to 6 Mbps with AT&T, then 12 and then 18. Though, I have seen a few very small towns outside of my town where 1.5 Mbps is the fastest they can.

I have 100mbps. I can load an 8k TH-cam video instantly with like half a buffer and i can seek through the video at any spot and only get a 1 second buffer. I get 100mbps for $60 monthly. I remember back when i had 25mbps back in 2012. Since then my ISP Spectrum went from 25 up to 60 then 100. 100mbps on Spectrum is actually the lowest speed they have.

Probably not since the router wasn’t that far away. Range extenders are good if you live in a 2 or 3 story house or have a detached garage a couple 100ft from your house and want WiFi in your workshop.
I have a nighthawk and after a year and half it starting rebooting on its own and noone at Netgear was able to help. But if i payed 89 dollars for a technician they might send someone my way

That mf literally killed our Internet and when we called our Provider (Netcologne) and they said, that we have to call the Telekom cuz it is their cable... At the Telekom, they said, that our Provider is guilty because they have to care about their cables and you know what? The Telekom owns the entire Internet cable structure in Germany and the Government is changing goals for broadband every year cuz the Telekom is doing to bad to achieve these goals..... simply embarrassing
