The whole set up procedure is an unbelievable mess. Both online and app instructions are unbelievably stupid and things don't work properly. I have a Mac and I'm used to seamless and extremely automatic setups. This printer belongs to the DOS era. I wasted almost two hours on the setup. I'll never buy another Canon product.

What if the main router is in Bridge mode and you have taken all the wifi off of it? Can AP Mode work still?

I need to use the Deco E4 as the base station and the Netgear R7000 as a router. Since the Deco has its app option only, I am unable to find any helpful ways to configure it as shown in the video.

This is the worst printer ever made in your a victim. Get rid of that printer get rid of any cannon product they're going bankrupt you won't be able to buy ink and it's not worth the aggravation it gives you dump them any cannon product

Holding down Command and R and Powering on is an outdated method for older Macs. Try holding down Option, Command and R When powering on and then enter Wi-Fi password and a menu with newer version of macOS will be available to install. Someone in the comment section showed me this method and it worked for me... Thank You
