Alas, no, but it appears that when I set up this camp I never even noticed that there IS a camp budget. It used to just work. hahahaha Things were balanced. They need to start making prefabs tis size and ten we'll stop suffering for budget.
I wish Fallout would add an 'are you sure' prompt when purchasing off the shop so you don't accidentally purchase a shelter you'll never use when dropping your controller
I've done that! If that happens, reach out to them and ask for a refund. they'll bitch about it, but they will take it back and return your atoms. You have to do it right away though, don't wait too long.
My wish for camps is a spawn tile, right now you just spawn at north side of camp placement, but so many places to build is great, but then everyone is spawning at the back of the build, and you want the front to be the first they see.
I can see a fast travel mat being useful. In build mode it is visible, but outside build mode it’s invisible. Also it won’t take even 0.0001 percent of your build budget. The con is trap camps will place it right inside the kill zone. While this would be neat, I doubt it’ll ever happen. But one can wish…
Try aiming the front of your camps machine toward the direction you want people to spawn, see if that makes a difference. Edit, make that the front as you'd approach it I just checked my camp and it puts me in the same general area every fast travel.
My husband uses this prefab for his ‘country cabin store/Nuka cola mart’ I tend to drift towards circus themed stuff or Raider things so I had no real plan of buying it, but you are pretty convincing so I’m definitely considering it ☺️
Just a heads up, if you use free mode, there’s an invisible shelf inside the chimney near the top that you can place lights and stuff on to make weird light effects
I picked up the seedy shed during the black Friday sale, and i gotta say, i love the little light on the side and how bugs flock around it! I have the iron mountain anvil as well, and i love how it's big enough to put everything i need in it, but still small enough to be cozy...
It would significantly impact game servers. The only solution would be to either lower the number of players per server, or put a camp limit per server. For example, if the limit is 12 camps and you are the 13th, then change server. Personally, I would be happy with just more 50
it needs to be DOUBLE, easily. they keep giving us more and more and yet 'lets just leave the budget the same'....ugh in Fallout 4, I build like crazy, having fun ignoring the main storyline and just building up Settlements lol i drop weapons and Store them and I build up until it just starts to get choppy then i stop, it's great
@Munenushi Having seemingly unlimited building budgets would absolutely cause insane server crashes. There would be way too much for the servers to process even in a server full of level 100 players. Even private servers would ultimately get bogged down to the point of not being playable.

Oh, and the simple rug trick + campfire goes perfectly in the iron mountain fireplace...
This is my favorite pre-fab cabin by far, the others are just unusable, while this one's layout is so cozy and usable. Thanks for the ideas on how to make it even bettter!
Another thing I love about this prefab is that it's possible -- albeit not easy -- to set it atop foundation pieces, so you can cover the bare concrete with a floor pattern of your choice. I have one build where I did this as well as clipping ordinary cedar shingle roof pieces into its roofline, so I've created a larger structure where this prefab is like an annex to a hand-built structure. You can also slightly clip walls into the exterior, again supporting the use of it as an annex.
Definitely one of my favorites. When it first came out it broke so easy. You can actually set up a mineral resource extractor inside it. A bit tricky, but doable. I like setting two of them up with a deck connecting them into one larger structure. Thanks Noodle! 🐉

Used a prefab for the first time for my Christmas build, the Winter Retreat. Had difficulty getting it to set very high off the ground, even in a seemingly flat area. Did like using the Icicle lights behind the icicles hanging off the porch, made them glow similar to a Fasnacht mask especially when used with the Snow Aurora weather station. It absolutely destroyed my light budget, but it looks nice from the outside!

From a game design point of view, light sources can impact performance more than most things, some older engines also have a hard coded rendering limitation for lights. For Fallout 76 they probably just wanted to play it safe so nobody could grief performance with excessive lights.
@@Gamer_Aviator My best guess would be different people on the design team classifying items. Probably the same reason older structures seem to suck less as you pointed out!

Too bad foundations don’t snap to pre-fabs and they are slightly larger then a few foundations snapped together so you can’t properly surround the structure with wrap around foundations. Why does Bethesda use a circle for the camp instead of a square?
Yeah... it would be cool if they did. I find that with this one, if you place the foundation away from the house and then inch closer, you can get it almost flush, and then fill in the gap with a defense wall.
I think you can cross off the Ultracite Generator off your list for any of your camps…..it’s in the reward pool for the raids…..The thing has a base that is the same size as most of the large pre-fabs…..but, if you want to have a build centered around your generator, go for it.
You don’t need to complete the seasons to enjoy the game, I’m a end game player and almost everything I have is just from playing and joining public events
The fusion generators aren't too bad looking but not a fan of small or mediums certainly...Also kinda wish they did a clean wind turbine, Betheseda if you read this😉😉
This House and the Candle House are the most versitile houses, in a couple of camps I use both and can decorate to my hearts desire, another awsome Video from you guy, thaks for all of the tips for out Fallout 76 Adventure
This is really really cool I really like what you did with this prefab I actually might check it out for my own builds you gave me some great ideas so thank you so very much for showing us all it's very very cool
Always wished for Bethesda to fix so you can have certain vending machines for certain things like food, clothes, aid etc. in your camp... i know its kinda unnecessary but i think it would ad more "life" to peoples Camps... you know, being able to create specific sections in a camp with small stores/kiosks or whatever. What you think of that? 😊🙏
I would love to see a Mothman Cultist themed camp using this prefab. I have tried making my own and they tend to be blocky houses and just dont seem to be very good. Alternatively I would love to see an Enclave themed camp with this. Love your camps and I am glad I came across this video using prefabs!
my most used prefab is Makeshift Mega Mansion because I can pick absolutely any crazy place for a camp and it just goes so well with any slops and ground height. I usually run out of budget when I finish decorating it :D I was thinking about this prefab and seems like it is similarly easy to place, just a bigger rectangular base. thanks for showing placement and fireplace too, that was also my question. nice job
The limit on lights has a practical reason. It's not so much whether an object is bright, but how far it casts the "light". This is because the server has to calculate the effect of the light on all the objects that are in the area. Therefore small and bright objects are not expensive on the server.
That would make sense if the rule applied to all objects that make light, but it doesn't. There are lanterns that are affected by the light budget and nearly identical lanterns that are not.
love that cabin used it in a few builds but currently not using it right now, the weapons bench is my favorite to use in most builds cause I like to make insane looking camps and having it in a dangerous place.
This is a very nice prefab, to be sure. I just REALLY hope they give us a chem storage bin without weight - that's my main gripe right now. I run a raid, and am immediately spending a while picking all the unused chems out of my inventory and dropping them. I can pull ammo and junk out with just a quick 2 second visit to their respective boxes.
Hey noodle love your works especially the rundown on the prefabs. They’ve been countless occasions. It has saved me a lot of money especially when it’s an item that really wasn’t worth the investment so firstly thank you for that one thing. I think that would make camp design even with prefabs really good in fact maybe amazing would be the ability to plant crops resources electrons Anything like that in a shelter, the anvil is a great building. I will not argue that however there is so many resource items that are useful and to someone really needed and we cannot place them in shelters instead it has to ruin the ambience and the setting of the build. I really wish that changed this. Maybe you could do something on this maybe they might listen.
Regarding the mystery of a separate lighting budget: Theoretically, the reason for this is that light sources add more to rendering workload than ordinary objects. The problem with Bethesda's implementation is that many of their "lights" (that is, things in that build category) are just glow maps or similar light simulations -- they don't actually contribute to global illumination (that is, they don't shed light on nearby objects). Even objects that appear to light up their background can be simulated with localized post-processing volumes and glowing decals. Conversely, there are objects (as you've pointed out) that are not in the lighting category that do illuminate nearby geometry. Bethesda had a legitimate reason for the lighting constraint but have been inconsistent with implementing the categories.
Great Video as always, Good Work. For me, the Woodland Retreat is my Favorit. You have a extremely Bug House with 3 Stories, for 0 Camp Budget. I decorated it pretty good. I didnt tried to stuff everything into it, but you can use very much, because the Woodland Retreat House have 0 impact on your Camp Budget.
It went up on Tuesday the 24th. Usually the new bundles stay up for three weeks. If you go to the Atomic Shop now, you'll see how many days are left on that bundle. You don't have to buy it. You can just check what the labels says. They often get a "17 days left" or something like that on them.
It's on the edge of that dry lake bed in the forest, near the mansions. It's pretty, but the Super Mutants are a nusance. Wouldn't recommend settling there. They shoot from the dry lake bed ALL THE TIME, but they can't actually reach, and they never approach the house. It's super annoying. You have to go aaaaall the day down to kill them if you want the shooting to stop. Turrets don't reach them either.
Great Video👌🏻 Love it that I actually have this Pre-fab and yeah it probably IS one of the best. P.s I wished we could have a Favourites In the build menu as half the time I forget what i got........ thinking about it I guess i could just blueprint everything I like🤔🤔🤔😁🇬🇧👍🏻
I just found out a few days ago that you can store anything you craft with the camp so you don’t keep wasting resources rebuilding workshops and other structures in your camp
So sorry about that. It's just that we've all been so stressed about camp budget, I was very excited to share an experience where we don't need to stress anymore. If you read the title again, it doesn’t say anything about budget increase, at all. ;)
@@Gamer_Aviator it's not true for all items, you can only request certain items on their list to be purchased through BGS CS. CS might grant a player the ability to purchase something if it hasnt been out in ages (a year or more) in the atom shop but it's up to the CS agent.

I think the reality is a sore spot for many of us longtime players: The team at Bethesda that built the game have all left and took their knowledge with them. They werent the main Bethesda A team to begin with, and the company has hired anyone willing to keep the game on life support. This talent attrition is an industry problem but it has gotten worse over the last decade because companies have been letting their HR department run wild and hire people to push agendas rather than make a quality product. You can directly correlate the drop in quality of AAA games with the push to diversify the industry at any cost.
@@baconation2637 no this is not DEI. This is the shift from a single cost title to subscription based recurring revenue. It’s far too profitable now to continually layer on the type of content they do with the Atom Shop. If anything, there are quite ambitious by overhauling some of the core skill balance in the game. Overall I 100% agree they don’t make them like they used to - but the driver is the economic model not some token DEI initiative.

You don’t need to complete the seasons to enjoy the game, I’m a end game player and almost everything I have is just from playing and joining public events
Thankyou for another awesome video
You are most welcome. Glad you enjoyed it. This prefab has made me very happy for a very long time. I had to share.
You are most welcome. Glad you enjoyed it.
Bethesda: We've made it easier to build
Me: Why can't I put 99% of my objects next to each other in any way without intentionally breaking the game
Great video looking at the budget space make me want to get it right now
Tis my favorite prefab! I keep coming back to it very often. Can make it any theme I want and can easily place it in most places!!
Nice!
There are lanterns that are affected by the light budget and nearly identical lanterns that are not.
love that cabin used it in a few builds but currently not using it right now, the weapons bench is my favorite to use in most builds cause I like to make insane looking camps and having it in a dangerous place.
amazing review! after struggling with Winter retreat, I am excited to build again!
Thank you! Oh, I hope you have fun with this one.
Dang might have missed it just checked and couldn't find the bundle
Should still be there
I LOVE the Iron Mountain Forge! I got it as soon as it came back.
Yes! It's amazing. I didn't really think much of it in the picture, but in reality it is glorious.
@Gamer_Aviator I have mine set up like the perfect little shop
I have shoved the entire vault tec fire place in that fireplace spot, but I didn't have the regular one till now! Good idea!
That's crazy, right! I love this house so much.
Thanks! I'm so glad t o hear this. Stay tuned for many more.
The decoration was beautiful Noodle!!! How much % of the budget was left after everything was ready?
Thank you so much.
i would actually live RL in iron mountain anvil. big time favorite
Same here. It’s exactly my style.
Why don't you use the box generator that radiates power without wires?
Don't actually own that one :) oskapt does.
Would you tell me the location you are placing this prefab? At the 3:10 mark. Thank you.
I scrolled down and saw you answered this question already.
cool!
How long is left on the bundle in the atom shop I cant play until wednesday and it'd be a shame to miss it
It went up on Tuesday the 24th. Usually the new bundles stay up for three weeks. If you go to the Atomic Shop now, you'll see how many days are left on that bundle. You don't have to buy it. You can just check what the labels says. They often get a "17 days left" or something like that on them.
was debating now i'm sold thanks
Where is that location on the map at 5:15
It's on the edge of that dry lake bed in the forest, near the mansions.
P.s I wished we could have a Favourites In the build menu as half the time I forget what i got........ thinking about it I guess i could just blueprint everything I like🤔🤔🤔😁🇬🇧👍🏻
Oh yes! That would help greatly. I spend way too much looking for stuff, and I can't even imagine how many things get forgotten or overlooked.
I just found out a few days ago that you can store anything you craft with the camp so you don’t keep wasting resources rebuilding workshops and other structures in your camp
Yes! It's excellent.
Your title led me to believe they were increasing budget 😭
So sorry about that. It's just that we've all been so stressed about camp budget, I was very excited to share an experience where we don't need to stress anymore. If you read the title again, it doesn’t say anything about budget increase, at all. ;)
I havn't played for months, but I enjoyed this
Maybe I'll dip in just for building
Yay! Glad to hear it.
Something doesn't have to be in the shop for people to buy it, any player can contact Bethesda and get items not currently in the store.
Good point. I’m not sure if that’s true for all items, but I know for sure it’s true for some. Never hurts to ask anyway.
@@Gamer_Aviator it's not true for all items, you can only request certain items on their list to be purchased through BGS CS. CS might grant a player the ability to purchase something if it hasnt been out in ages (a year or more) in the atom shop but it's up to the CS agent.
Why can't I find this? I see no such bundle name and I don't see the pre-fab anywhere. Can we maybe get a link to a screenshot of the location on the A/S?
It's gone from the shop. Missed it by one day. Oh well I'll get it next time it comes around.
nice work thanks for share tips
My pleasure
love the build. I also love this prefab. There's only 1 thing its missing, the floor, its like concrete, yes you can place down rugs, or use merges to cover it, but thats not the point. It should have come with like a wood floor, or the ability to place floors down. just my opinion.
Good point. Wooden floor would have been better.
They really need to remove or at least raise the budget limit and caps cap.
Yes! That’s my number 1 wish.
I would still like to see more BoS/Enclave prefabs.
That fire that you used I have used with fireplace that has extra top piece to shows through roof to create a smoking chimney. As well as a burning house.
I hope you can understand all of that hard to type inherited disease from dads mother it skipped him got me. Losing use of fingers on both hands fingers will roll into palms. Might why I've never won a raid embarrassing 710 character Drakcon
On Playstation 5
Oh that's really cool. I wanted to add smoke to my other chimney as well. I will try it your way.
Would you mind sharing the camp location?
right at the entrance to Flatwoods, by the sign.
@ 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
@@Gamer_Aviatorthat’s a straight up lie lol
I wish they would just allow us to sink objects into the ground. Why so restrictive?
Oh yeah. This is by far one of the friendliest ground sink items. Most others are just awful.
Display items have a budget also :)
Yes they do. Pretty sure I mention that ;) Maybe it didn't make the final cut hahaha
I really like you location for the camp, i hear Flatwoods but i cant find it
100% agree. My favorite prefab and I been around since beta, I own them all. The holiday house is unusable to me.
I was able to make the winter house work once I discovered glowing crystals and glowing Christmas trees. Without those, I nearly gave up on it.
Seeing this nice home I knew I had to buy it I love it.
Enjoy it
wierd quesiton, if I may:
what is that accent you and your husband/partner have? may i ask where you guys are from? it's neat!
(don't feel bad btw, your accent is not 'strong' - I like to learn other languages and can hear others' accents easier since, it seems)
Oskapt is die-hard American and I’m Russian. -Noodle
@@Gamer_Aviator Neat!
Спасибо! Peace to you both
@@Munenushi You're most welcome, and you as well.
Iron Mountain Anvil will be 350 atoms on todays offer (01-22-2025)
bump
Light budget is probably due to the physics engine limitation with too many light sources for tracing.
Doesn't answer my question that followed though. ;) How is it that we can have light objects in floor decor and they don't count for light budget?
they need to increase camp budget because some of us are at max camp slots on all characters. time to incresase it!
Where is this located?
Just bought because of your recommendation and got to say it didn't disappoint thanks for the information
Enjoy it!
When I used this prefab it would always explode or something like that when I would go to my camp that’s why I stoped using it 😂
Explode? That doesn’t sound fun. Was it in a place where Super Mutants were blowing it up or something?
@@Gamer_Aviatorno I think it was a bug back when this prefab came out idk if it’s still that way
@@MichaelsExplorations Ahhh crazy. Well, it's definitely not there now. I've had this Antique shop for a year now with no issues, and the new one I set up for the demo - also no issues. Maybe it's time for you to dust yours off again. :)
Bungie really needs to give us more budget that's one of the main i issues with some of the newer bigger prefabs they would be awesome to use if we just had enough budget to decorate the entire thing I really wish buns you would give us more budget they really do need to I also don't like that they limit us what we can put inside our shelters
So after all these years I joined ESO just compare it to 76 and honestly I'm kinda shocked. ESO has 3x the content than 76 and runs way smoother. In 3 hrs not one disconnect. I'm literally canceling my Fallout 1st and I'm done playing Bethesda games. Yall have fun with 76
100% We hear ya. We had the same experience. Sadly, ESO doesn't come with this amazing community that we're already invested into, so we stay. :)
Ok, thank you. We will.
@Gamer_Aviator yeah I had a situation where I lost my sony account so I'm looking at both games from a fresh start with 0 investment so it's easy for me to have this opinion but I had 9000 hrs on 76. Lost a legacy bandana and it hurt my feelings lol
Well, it's gone from the store and I missed it. This looks like it would be a great replacement for my first, very budget unfriendly build. I wonder if I can buy it from the website...
I can’t check right now, but I am surprised that it would be gone after just a week. That’s usually not the case. Keep an eye out for it. It will come around again.
@@Gamer_Aviator It is odd and I know it'll be back around. I've seen it before. Thanks for the video, btw.
thanks for the click bait title
prefabs .,.. are not good the budget needs to get a fixx ...
Seriously? You’re a member of this channel and you’re bitching about content? Wanna elaborate for me what exactly it is that I didn’t deliver on in this video that took a several days to make for you guys during my holiday time? Were you gifted your membership?
I think the reality is a sore spot for many of us longtime players: The team at Bethesda that built the game have all left and took their knowledge with them. They werent the main Bethesda A team to begin with, and the company has hired anyone willing to keep the game on life support. This talent attrition is an industry problem but it has gotten worse over the last decade because companies have been letting their HR department run wild and hire people to push agendas rather than make a quality product. You can directly correlate the drop in quality of AAA games with the push to diversify the industry at any cost.
Yes, 100% agreed.
@@MichaelM-kg1yn WTH are you talking about? Fallout 76 is a single cost title, spending money after the initial purchase is completely voluntary. Seasons are free with the exception of a few items locked behind Fallout 1st . The fact we have every type of DEI flag and player icon proves what Baconation said is correct.
@@baconation2637 there's a lot less DEI in FO76 than lots of other games tho. Fallout's doesn't bother me in the least TBH and I hate that type of stuff. You wanna see craziness to play destiny 2 lmao 😂 bungie is so far left they are sinking in the Pacific Ocean (quite literally as well)
Maybe because the "A - Team" is not working on 76 any longer?....🤷
Maybe. I sure hope they return. This was truly great quality.
Please, can anyone tell me the location at 4:30?
