That's so clean, this is how I would mod mine , lowered on factory wheels. No tacky aero pieces added on. and keep it functional by not adding a roll cage .

I always loved the b7 rs4. Rode in one back in 08. CEOs car. Had tune and exhaust. Sounded like a mustang when he pulled in the lot with it. Moved out nice, very linear. There was a time i really thought of getting one. But by then these cars were 11 yrs old and still 30k dollars plus. With 95 to 140k miles. And 420hp wasnt enough for me so a supercharger would of been needed. So another 10 to 15k. Plus clutch, full suspension, full preventive maintenance, and upgraded components because of age or needed for power level. So yeah theres 50 to 60 grand. So i had to talk myself out of it 🤣
Yes, not cheap to modify but well worth it especially when there's none other around.

Lovely car, timeless design inside and out, love the subtle body work hints of being a to special car (the guards). The interior on these models has aged very well in my opinion too.
This 5th gen Quattro has T3 center diff, which can lock power up to 80/20 and 0/100. The 40-60 is just a base point, it changes on demand
Yes that's right, I should've explained that. Would be nice to be able to manually adjust the torque split like you could with my old STi. Great system none the less.

Nice to see a modified Euro on your channel so lets keep them them coming. The B7 RS4's sound amazing at high RPM and with that additional supercharger whine I am sure it would sing !
Someone should build a collection of these in the specialty colors and show them to the world. Seems like a great car
I recently replaced the throttle body on my 08 RS4...and yes I bought the GM LS1 part for half the price. Easy fix.

@@Juan-nf2my A friend of mine has a B8 with the Supercharged V6 engine, great engine with good tuning capabilities the biggest turn off for me is that it doesn't come with a manual and not as raw as the B7.
@@TaylorJamesBurnett idk where you are but the b8 comes with a manual in the unites states. I'd say that's what attracts me to it. The lack of tuning capabilities in the v8 compared to the v6 is night and day. I do want to supercharge my s4 but I'll have to get into the engine and replace every gasket and make sure in its best condition before I throw induction to it.
@@Juan-nf2my The RS4 B8 doesn't, auto only. A manual B8 S4 or S5 with the Supercharged V6 would be a pretty fun car.

As for the carbon build up water meth injection totally cleans the whole intake,the valves & pistons.
I was amazed at how well it cleans.
I have a B8 facelift rs5 and it's an amazing car the NA V8 Audi's hit different.

The aluminium beating heart! It's an aluminium block to save on weight at the front, one of the most nimble road going sports cars Audi made. Most tend to be nose heavy

Awesome build bro , I own a 2006 s4 black with red Recaro interior i have max speed this car at 270kph on a highway so these bad boys are fun to drive yes timing chains/ guides are a bummer 8k nz for rebuilds but worth a beat ..cheers team
Fortunately the 4.2 V8 in the RS4 and S5 have the revised timing chain/guides that are not as fragile as their plastic counterparts.

Thanks. 5w30 is too thin for this engine when it's supercharged. 10w60 is what is recommended at this power level :)

Since buying my S3 8L I'm an Audi convert and can see something RS (RS5?) in my future ownership. Definitely recommend watching VAG Technic rebuild vids to steel your nerves for impending mechanical doom on the newer cars. Forewarned is forearmed.
If you're not able to do the maintenance work yourself save up your pennies and find a good independent VAG specialist. Stay away from the stealers.
@@TaylorJamesBurnett yep I agree. I'm handy on the spanners. Just rebuilt the 1.8t however that is a very simple engine compared to the newer gear which is in another league!

They are 10mm hubcentric from ecs tuning with extended lug bolts.

B8 and b8.5 had the sam 60/40 at the rear wheels, this is not last system, it is rear wheels drive with torsen.
They are very similar except the torque split is slightly different in the B8’s and they have torque vectoring via brakes. The B7 is the last of the proper analogue Quattro.
It’s a constant 60 rear and 40 front in normal driving conditions.
Mate she is a beast, just use real good oil to get rid of the carbon build up on the intake valves and also good quality injector cleaner to get rid of the deposits pro series stuff the same products the mechanics use or should i say AUDI official deposit or cleaners or direct injected system cleaners. :)

Wonder what sort of mileage the car has done? Has it been lower? much sought-after car in the UK now- Negaro blue was optional at £1500 - very similar to sprint blue- Avant is much preferred.
104,000 km's on the clock now. Avants are more rare here too with only 93 sold.
I would honestly keep it stock. But cool car either way.

Chains are an issue on the rs4 just not as much of an issue on the b6 s4. I recently had all of mine changed including all 4 cam adjusters and all sorts while I was in there.
How many kms or miles? Never heard of them being a problem on the B7 RS4.
They are not an issue on the RS4 until you get well over 200,000klm

0-60 MPH is 3.7 secs and 1/4 mile is 11.8 with a trap speed of 117 MPH

I’ve seen a couple of guys on the forum turbo charge these and the work involved plus how it changes the dynamics of the engine is not desirable. The supercharger doesn’t negatively affect the sound and compliments the nature of the high revving V8 perfectly.

Turbo kit on an RS4 and the owner flash tunes it.. what is it with Euro's and not treating them to a proper dyno tune ? There's a huge obsession with Ebay "stage" tunes on all things Euro .. you see it on the Subaru American scene too.. surely you'd treat your car to a proper dyno tune if you've spent so much doing it up ? There would have to be huge differences in tolerances to each engine after so many modifications ?
It's a supercharger..
APR supply the tune with their kit. The kit has a lifetime warranty only if that tune is used. APR spent countless hours developing the tune to customers all over the world, I'm yet to hear anyone have an issue because of it. Sure a custom tune is great, but is it worth voiding the warranty and risking the reliability these kits are known for? Plus no tuners in Melbourne seem to have any experience tuning these supercharged engines.
@@TaylorJamesBurnett Don't get me wrong I know APR would know their stuff but they wouldn't know your exact engine tolerances ? Surely every engine has enough differences in tolerance to not be able to apply a "one size fits all" tune to every engine ?
I didn't know about APR's warranty though.. Do they claim to warranty your whole engine ? Not sure how much their word would be worth but that's a bold warranty !
Cool car though.. I just couldn't grasp how people spend so much money on their engines to not have it put on a dyno and live tune them to monitor fuel/air/knock etc..
@@ashcosmo3854 Yeah I get what you're saying. The car was put on the dyno when the kit was installed and file flashed to make sure everything is all good. APR have development cars around the world for different fuel quality, climate, sea level etc and release updates to us when needed. I know there are lots of safety parameters put into the tune too. Definitely more power to be made with a custom tune but like I said I've looked into it previously and couldn't find anyone willing to give it a go.
APR don't warranty the whole engine that would be amazing, they just warranty the supercharger and parts in the kit. If you mess with the tune and something goes wrong with the kit you'll be out of pocket.
Thankfully the unit has proven to be extremely reliable and unlike other brand supercharger kits on these cars there hasn't been any engine issues related to it.

@@mitchoh7603 Valve overlap is the biggest issue. Even those professional carbon cleaner services don't have any positive effect. The only way is to get the manifold off and walnut blast or chemical clean it with a lot of scraping.
