In terms of styling and performance they were on top, reliability on the other hand..... It's a pity because otherwise the cars would be close to perfect. Goes for all the German sports cars though. Imagine if the E60 M5 would be reliable...

You know absolutely nothing about these cars. The b5 was only made from 1999-2001 which the c63 wasn't even in production until 2007 and there is no comparison between the two.
Power vs Sound. HGP and MTM have B9 612hp kits that have it blow 911 Turbo S out if the Water. Combined with a less safe setup then Audi puts on it from the factory and you have a car that will rip 911s up on the ractrack and eat miles. While still being really fuel efficient.
Idea for a video: do a drag race/rolling/braking with the same car but going from weakest engine to most powerful to see how much extra bang you get for your buck (e.g.: BMW series 1 116i vs 120i vs 140i or audi a3 vs s3 vs rs3, etc). Just a thought!

Same here, I remember when I first saw a Grey MTM B5 with flat spoked MTM alloy wheels that perfectly filled the wheel arches, it just looked perfect in every way. I think 2nd round the B5 got a poor launch, so let's call B5 and B7 a draw. Not bad at all!

you see thats why we love the manual gearbox, its all about us the drivers!! if you are a b9 owner you wont even bother to race cause you know the car is too strong and its going to win, but if you drive a manual its up to you if you win or not!
the b5 has by far the best sound of these cars here and is also one of the best sounding machines of all time ! it's so sad that all the new cars are just high reving screamers which do strange pooping sounds when shifting gears. also there's no manual gear box available any more. just overpowered machines no one could drive without all these computers doing all the work for the driver. i'd love to see more cars like the b5 today with manual gear box and such a damn good sound.
Even without carbon build up, many didn’t make the stated 420bhp. Mine managed 400 bhp max irrespective of carbon clean up. I know there is debate about transmission losses that can fudge the figures but it doesn’t feel like a 400+ bhp car most of the time
What the hell was the RS2 driver doing, he wasn't even launching it. If the clutch wasn't up for a launch there was no point bringing it. A 1/4 mile in 16 plus is much slower than that car's capable of.

RS2 would actually launch really well if it wasn't a cherished Audi UK car. They are savage with their turbo lag then massive hit of power. Couldn't get bored of am RS2. I see a British racing green model being daily driven in Perth Western Australia.

The new car feels least sporty, yes and that is something i dont like about newer preformance cars. A friend gave me a ride in his RS6 a couple of years ago, didnt feel special at all. Just feels like a much faster A6. Thats why a stick to a bit older performance cars.

Hahahaha And all brands develope new cars in automatic dual clutch box, is better for gear box life, is faster and all competition cars are automatic: Dakar Arg/Chile, F1, 24H Le Mans, DTM.... You can argue a clutch is more agressive, funny, emotional, sensitive cause you can feel all and decide when press the clutch and cut transmission for blow up rpm and then take off.... or shift up or down... The issue with the B7's is they never did the numbers Audi claimed due to coking. I did 107,000 miles in my B7 RS4, it was one of the first in the UK to demonstrate coking and I got 366bhp when coked and 388bhp when cleaned and at the time most of the other other RS4's were the same. Great road car, fantastic damping and traction but never felt close the claimed power.
What is going on with the reg plates? A 94 car on a "P" reg and the B8 on a "18"? I briefly drove a B7 about 9 years ago and wow. Never before had any affection for German cars, but I'd give a kidney for a B7. Sound is incredible and fastest thing I have ever had the pleasure of.
I have a stage 3+ Nogaro B5 S4, it is my favorite car I have ever owned. All of these cars are magnificent, but that Yellow RS4 and RS2 with almost no miles are Unicorns. I'd be scared to death to drive them on the public streets.
My 1984 Audi Coupe GT with the 136bhp 2.2 KV engine used to run high 15’s for the 1/4 mile at GTI International. That RS2 could’ve given soooo much more. Shame.

Great video. Love the RS Avant's! The new car really is a permanent car that had everyday capability. But that B5 looks and drives so well. I loved both V8 cars, but they lack punch low down. What a treat to drive them all back to back. Only thing is that new RS4 is very expensive!
The B7 may not be the fastest but the aesthetics, the engine, the complete package for me is the best and the most beautiful..😍.. and even more so if we think that it is the first and last RS4 with a naturally aspirated engine with manual gearbox that will exist...

I did 107,000 miles in my B7 RS4, it was one of the first in the UK to demonstrate coking and I got 366bhp when coked and 388bhp when cleaned and at the time most of the other other RS4's were the same. Great road car, fantastic damping and traction but never felt close the claimed power.

I prefer the RS4 Avant B7 because it has wonderful exhaust note, wonderful Quattro all-wheel-drive system and conventional interior layout.

I have a stage 3+ Nogaro B5 S4, it is my favorite car I have ever owned. All of these cars are magnificent, but that Yellow RS4 and RS2 with almost no miles are Unicorns. I'd be scared to death to drive them on the public streets.
My 1984 Audi Coupe GT with the 136bhp 2.2 KV engine used to run high 15’s for the 1/4 mile at GTI International. That RS2 could’ve given soooo much more. Shame.
All wonderful, but if I could choose, I would like to have in the garage B7 for every day driving and RS2 for Sunday

Great video. Love the RS Avant's! The new car really is a permanent car that had everyday capability. But that B5 looks and drives so well. I loved both V8 cars, but they lack punch low down. What a treat to drive them all back to back. Only thing is that new RS4 is very expensive!
The Audi RS2 is still beautiful looking even tho it wasn’t the fastest.

B5 was quicker n both rubs due to your cheeky start and ye B5 tunning potential is massive.

The B7 may not be the fastest but the aesthetics, the engine, the complete package for me is the best and the most beautiful..😍.. and even more so if we think that it is the first and last RS4 with a naturally aspirated engine with manual gearbox that will exist...
