I don't want to be petty but you noted that in the word 'cough' the 4 letters 'ough' makes the one sound .o., when, in truth, it makes two sounds .o.f. and 'laugh' also makes two .a͡r.f.
Thank you Could you show me a reception class time table please! Could you make a video about their assessment and how to link their progress in a report card.
Hi! This was a great video. I have a phonics question. Okay, so with these trigraphs and quadgraphs would you say that you are able to sound them out partially? Like how you sounded some of them out letter by letter. Or would people say that trigraphs make one new sound completely unrelated to the letters in the trigraphs or quad graph? I guess I feel that I could sound it out but idk what the true answer would be. Thanks for your help! Some people say that English is not a phonetic language but what does that mean exactly? I would love to hear what you have to say about this! I work with K-2 kids but trying to wrap my head around this concept.
This video has some incorrect parts.eg f-air should be 'f' - 'air' and not sound out 'a' i' 'r' A quad graph has 4 letters one sound ' cough ' has c/ ou/ gh
I mean sound representation. so many rules. Indian languages are perfect with respect to script. no complex rules. very systematic representation of all possible sounds except short vowel sound for a.
Great video, when you hear these with an India English accent man! It like a totally different kind of English.
Thank you so much. I learned a lot from this. May God bless you ever. ❤️
