confident is divided into syllables as con / fi / dent (Which also breaks the open syllable rule.)
Yes , I agree with you.
Love the method of find the vowel and glue it to the next letter. Great and helpful.

That´s a huge puzzle to kids who studies syllable division. According to cambridge dictionary it´s not correct.
Madam great lecture....
WOW ! it is beauty
😊😊😊😊
Its very good for kids to read
Hi
Bonjour, je ne comprends pas, car dans les dictionnaires ou dans des sites qui séparent les syllables, c’est plutôt pour le mot confident : con-fi-dent???
Yes, that is correct! Dictionaries show the “official” way to separate the word, but there are many ways to actually break it up to read it. I teach kids struggling to read and write the “easiest way” so that they can be successful. Sometimes this means breaking the word in slightly different places for the simplicity of where to break words, but, in the end, it usually works out. Since I generally work with native English speakers, most are able to hear the word once sounded out and pronounce it correctly. Hope that answers your question! Thanks for chiming in!😊
🇨🇦Linda
