Recently picked up a 2019 GT non-premium PP1 and I love it my roommate saw my car and then two days later he went out and traded in his camaro and picked up a 2019 GT premium PP1 lol.

First thing we did when we picked up our 2020 GT Premium PP1 was to get xpel paint protection and ceramic coating. For us its a summer only car but definite worth it. Most kids will spend money on springs, wheels, spacers, etc etc but not invest in protecting their car.
I daily mine and the amount of abuse it gets from the winters out here I didn't want to go to crazy with the ceramic because it won't last anyway. I'm actually going to be doing it myself in a few days if you want to see how she looks after.
For the paint, get a paint correction kit from Dr. Color Chip. I've used it for my Evo's, Type R's and my Mazda's. Great stuff! I'm picking up a 2019 401A PP1/Manual in Velocity Blue this week!
@@waffles2837 honestly, it wasn't all the way to the metal. It was mainly rock chips and things like that. I say give it a shot. It's all in the preparation before applying the paint too! Good luck!
I also have a black 2019 GT (base). I have the same rock chip problems (hood rear quarter panel). Chips like these are quite common. The paint that Ford uses doesn't bond very well to metal. The paint is probably the worst thing about the car. You can get some thin microfiber brushes that will fit in all the hard-to-reach spots in the wheels. Be gentle, gloss black wheels scratch easily, just like the rest of the car. It's probably been said already, but ceramic coatings do not offer any protection from scratches/chips/dings. You'd want to go with Paint Protection Film for that.
I have a base 19. I’m glad I didn’t pay for the pretty lights . My other GT I had every option and spent a lot of time worrying about useless stuff this time I just went for the engine and the sound a lot simpler a lot more fun you appreciate the car for what it is
If I was to do it again I'd still get the premium and digital dash. I'd leave out the pp1 because as I mod it most of that stuff will be swapped anyways. I like the leather and the fancy dash though lol
My truck does the same thing....You have to push the mode button twice once to open the mode selector then the buttons again to move into the mode you want.

My last video show about a 100 view more on the Analytics page then the video link page, all the other videos match up almost exactly…Seems weird.
Sound tube is easy to remove . 1/4 10 ml deep and a flex head ( wrap with small rubber band ) 10 inch extension ratchet and i kept a 1/4 driver handle for reaching in . Finish the nut with a short socket . Took more time to pull tools out of tool box . Peace from Up North ( Cruising in a PP 2 )
Canadian I just got the steeda progressive lowering springs and spacers installed, looks amazing. Got the confidence to do it thanks to your video on it. Also added rear roush defuser and pp2 front splitter to finish it up.
Nice video dude. subbed. Agreed on the paint....my last mustang, 2017, had the same issues. Seemed to be a pebble magnet and I just drove local...new roads. Really upsetting. For the money you think they would coat it or something.

😂 “somebody rolled it in flour.” The sound tube delete is a must. That car makes plenty of sound without it. It was the first mod I did after the corsa extreme catback. As for the chips, I’ve seen some random ass chips too. I also wish I would have done splash guards sooner, my sticky ass tires seem to throw everything at the car. I recommend you do them to keep chips on the back wheel bulges as well as a clear bra on the front!
I've got the kit to delete the tube. Going to get it on in the next few days hopefully. And yes the chips are a pain I just dont know if I want to spend the cash to wrap it lol. They seen to be in all the spots where the wrap wouldn't be 😂
To get chips like that over the bonnet and roof, rear spoiler and top of the rear quarters, it had to be pebbles thrown from an overpass or footbridge. Chips like that aren't normal otherwise your front bumper would have them.
Dude, I have the same wheels on my Mustang. The easiest way to clean the barrels and in between the spokes is a bath loofah with handle. Very quickly, easily and thoroughly.
My GT is a base 300a so I don’t have the drive modes etc but I can relate...first thing I do when I start the car is double tap the traction control to put it in advance Trac sport mode. Wish it would stay there when you start the car. I have chips on my roof too brother, don’t ask me how lol when I bought the car and took it to a detailer and asked to have it colour corrected. He told me there’s barely 3-5mm paint on new mustangs and if he was to colour correct it he would burn through clear or the paint. I’m wondering if this is why the paint chips so easily! If you hold the traction control down does it still turn off advance track? Yeah the paint is crap lol. Still love the car regardless. I'll just have to keep touching it up or wrap it eventually. Just cant drop 2k on the thing right now. Thanks for watching :)
Yes, holding the trac button down still turns it off. I just prefer the sport setting because it will allow a bit of play before it intervened lol 2k isn’t bad at all for a wrap, I’ve been quoted anything from $2500-5000 depending on shop here in Ontario.
@@tlcgtp I only turn mine off at the drag strip. A little safety on the road is good lol. And yeah 2k is the cheapest I've found here but that's like a DIY in the backyard type of guy Haha. Not sure I'd go that route.

A friend has the same car in white. It chips just as easy but its less noticeable on the white. Black stands out like a piece of ash or something on the car.
You can’t start in my mode because, if you selected track mode, then that would bypass Ford’s mandatory safety disclaimer. It would also allow you to start in loud mode if you have the active exhaust, which Ford cautions against for local ordinance reasons. Are you sure your car didn’t get hailed on? I don’t think ceramic coating alone would protect against ice meteors.
Damn safety rules haha. No we dont get much for hail here. Just rain and more rain. Ceramic wont protect it 100 percent but I'd think it would take the brunt of the impact at least.
Ceramic coating does NOT protect against rock chips!! If you’re looking for protection like that you need paint protection film!! Ceramic coating only protects against scratches not chips.
Yeah I know. I want the ceramic to help with the swirls and crap clear coat they have on. Also the film doesn't protect against chips either. Small ones maybe but not an actual rock

It all depends on what you like. The GT is more money and costs more to maintain but the ecoboost has all the same options if your not going to use the power. They are both great cars.

Dust your interior bro. We're car twins. We gotta keep them pretty! Car mode issue is because of safety rules. The wheels are good to replace the front brakes on the front. The carbon brakes just give out a lot of dust and a new pair is easy to solve the issue. My buddy get annoyed. But I'm not bothered.
I've been slacking on the inside lol. And once these brakes are done in I'll be swapping to better pads to hopefully slow down the dust. Or maybe some good cleaner to get in the hard spots
Once in a while I think it does. But then it's gone for a few weeks again. It does have a weird squeak though. I'm going to make a video if I can get it through the camera
My car also has the typewriter tick which it ticks all the time especially when the engine is warming up and when it is warmed up, when I turn on the ac it sounds like a knock. I also have the 2 thousand rpm rattle. And when I take my foot off the gas it makes a weird grinding type of noise like a chhhhhh noise. I am so done with this car new noise after another.

Honestly there isn't anything not to like. It's more just things I've found weird about the car over the last year lol. And the dash was definitely a good choice.
Man, talk about a let down, I have the base model, they should call it the ghetto dollar store version. But I luv the rest of it, 6 sp manual, 355 gears, Kona Blue coyote.
If that is all you have to complain about, then truly you can't go wrong with the Mustang GT. I am sure your not traveling behind trucks with that Coyote V8 under your right foot. You would be far ahead of them.

the paint does chip super easy on these cars and as far as the transmission i can see why they made it that way because they dont wanna rick any mess ups what so ever and that oil stick is gonna be a bitch i got my ecoboost stolen six months ago lost my job and all but just got on with the supreme court of ohio here so its gonna be a journey but definitely getting a GT this time

same with my 2019 pp1 mines white and within the 1st week i noticed my paint was chipping aswell on my front bumper

When I took mine out I was lazy so just took the 2 Christmas tree clamps of and then yanked it out of the firewall lol.

Canadian Cruisin the sound tube takes like 4 minutes to complete, so if you make a video you may want to add another to-do item so it isn’t so short.
