I like videos like this. I find that budget gear is often (always) reviewed by beginner photographers, and it’s hard to get a sense of how the gear actually performs. However, from the example photographs I can see that you’re definitely a competent tog.
You should get out to the Rosses and more of the West Coast. Some stunning scenes from Carrickfinn to Cruit to Keadu and Maghery or Dooey for beaches. Crohy head to Slieve League for sea arches, cliffs and interesting tides in bottlenecked bays (each side of Dooey beach is interesting at certain tides with variouse effects on the water from tide vs river) or small lakes and waterfalls right by the sea. Well worth a day or 2 and a few climbs. Ohh and the road from the top of Glenveagh through to Doochary is pretty cool too. Mixed Weather conditions for the most amazing screnes.. V dramatic.
Images and video look great, has character, would never have guessed the lens. Just goes to show it's best to get out shooting, rather than worrying about gear
@@rossandhisjpegs for that price it looked fantastic... if we didn't know the price it would've still looked fantastic. Looking forward to the next one..

Legend. Thanks man!
That's a very innovative way to present images from a lens test, well done!
Thanks!

Thanks for this. Will plan a trip in the New Year!
What happened to the s5iix - you still got it ?
Yeah still have it! It’s the camera I use for my professional work. It just didn’t come with me on this trip!
@@rossandhisjpegs cool - I've recently just bought one myself and was interested to see what you have been doing with it !
Lovely shots. Nice video.
Thanks!!

Awww thanks so much. Yeah it performed really well, probably better for photography than video but yeah I’ll have it out again for sure.

You should take another trip to Donegal and do the other half of the county
I’d love to yeah!
Amazing bro!! Were the pictures edited or jpeg recipes?
it says it right underneath the pictures
Thanks!! Yeah all edited with a variety of film simulations. 🎉
Nice photos, I like how the lens renders color
Glad you like them!
Although I’m from the North of Ireland I haven’t spent much time in Donegal, maybe I should. Obviously plenty to shoot. Thanks for your video.
I need to spend some more time there too! Love it, so peaceful… Thanks for the comment 🎉
Hi what fonts are you using at the start of the video. Thanks
Cactus Jack is the name of the handwritten one.
@ thank you Ross
