    I just bought a brand new 2023 Civic Touring in January 2023. I’m just 4’11” and need a small car. My primary complaint is they keep making the cars bigger! I absolutely love the new Civic, but I wish it was a small as my ‘02 Civic LX.
    Honda really knocked it out of the park with this 11th gen redesign. I really love the Civic’s understated exterior and semi-luxury, gorgeous interior. The driver’s seat has 8-way adjustable power too.
    And it’s less expensive than the Accord. For me, it’s the clear winner.

    Just bought a meteorite gray 2023 accord touring hybrid, with the desert package. Damn I hated the body at first, because I showed up to buy a civic. When I saw the accord in person, I fell for it a lot because pictures dont capture it correctly in my opinion. I’m an artist by trade, so I tend to focus on aesthetics. Also, the interior is freaking great, Bose speakers, AC seats, and an improvement over previous years. Also, it has self driving like a Tesla. Gets like. 50mpgs nearly. Have not second guessed this decision even one time.

    Great comparison of the two Honda vehicles. I have driven both and settled on the Accord because of its power and a little larger interior space. I am fairly big guy and that had a lot to do with the choice. Being slightly larger the Accord seemed like it would be safer in an accident. Thank you, guys, as always great video!

    As a 38 year loyal customer of Honda/Acura, I really wanted to like the new Accord. However, as the satisfied owner of a '21 Accord Touring 2.0T, the '23 falls well short of my hopes and expectations. I just wish that Honda would have nixed the 1.5T engine, offered the hybrid as their core engine and kept the amazing 2.0T for those of us who prefer the higher performance. When I replace my '21, I'm sad to say that it will likely not be with a Honda product for the first time since getting my very first Honda. (a 1980 Honda Prelude), when I was 17 years old.

    • @realmac3k
      @realmac3k ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Seems like Honda has moved the 2.0 upmarket between civic type R , Integra type s, and TLX. I also wonder how much of this is related to improving overall mpg for the fleet since no EV option exists yet. 38 years is a long time! I stayed with Nissan 17 until recently switching to Acura.

    You do not account for that eventually the hybrid battery will need to be replaced. This adds quite an expense (estimates are 3K-8K) to the Accord for long term ownership. Accords/Civics (gas models) are known to go 150,000-200,000 mile with no big issues. I had been driving Accords L model for many years. They no longer make the L model in an non hybrid Accord. I've owned two hybrid model Accords (2017 and 2019) which I had to sell when they hit 95,000 miles (I have along commute) since the battery goes out of warranty at 100,000 and the estimates are all over the place to replace the hybrid battery. I was willing to pay 3K but not 8K. Since they don't make a gas only Accord-L any longer, I purchased a CR-V-L in a gas only model. Nice, but I miss my Accord. If you do lots of miles, these are the issues you face with Hybrid cars. Check your state law since the Hybrid system is part of the emission control, the warranty is determined by State law: IE: Pennsylvania requires 100K warranty on the battery, New Jersey requires 150K. I can't imagine the cost of a hybrid motor or a high energy converter.

    Yes the wheels look nice. But makes for a bouncy ride . Have a feeling the LX civic is a better ride. I did pull a 6 on the 0 to 60
    You have to turn off the auto stop,start. That easily adds 2 seconds and is so stupid.

    The civic just looks better and more sportier and premium while the accord has a relaxed stance design and looks a bit less sportier and less premium. But i wouldnt mind the accord only because the horn is stronger and tougher and the civic has a cheaper sounding and weaker horn.

    Accords have been going downhill since 2018. The new Civics look great though! This is definitely the best looking Civic so far. I have always picked Accord over the civic, but not this year!

  • @isaac198428
    @isaac198428 ปีที่แล้ว

    Both the exterior and interior of the Civic looks much better than the Accord. Also, the Civic has more standard features in the interior though the set up of materials look identical which sucks because you get the full size sedan for a different (better) equipment and options) not the same duplicated items. The Forte, Corolla & Elantra which are in the same class as the Civic look completely different than their bigger siblings (K5, Camry & Sonata) but with the Accord it’s like you’re getting the same exact blown version of the car plus a little uglier in the exterior with the Accord. Minus the fog lights. Personally I’d buy the Civic.

      Right... The design philosophy reminds me of the Ford Freestyle. The Freestyle looked like the base from which all CUVs and SUVs come from. The Accord looks like the same thing but for sedans.

    Why do you score cars higher with bigger wheels??? Bigger wheels are more expensive, more prone to be bent by potholes and use more fuel. And the tires are very expensive to replace with bigger rims.
