the best thing about headless is the weight distribution when standing. You dont have to put ANY effort into holding the neck in position, no guitar diving when you let go. its amazing
On all the Kiesels I have gotten so far I have raise the saddles on the low strings so they strings don't buzz. Especially on 7 strings. They play great though and sound amazing.
Thanks for showing that off Jamie. I also have a headless Type X and man are they not a hell of a lot of fun to play. Interesting this was also my first headless model and absolutely love it.
I have a Headless Delos 7 and I love it. However, if you play in drop A (like I do) you'll need to get a much heavier gauge low string to get decent tension. Otherwise get a multiscale. I have some issues with this cause I pick really hard. Just a heads up for those who might want to get one.
Always wanted a Kiesel/Carvin after visiting their showroom in San Diego. They were Carvin back then. They make amazing guitars to order. One of these days. 👍
Love it. I’m not usually a fan of these crazy shapes, but that one looks really comfortable and very \m/etal! I’m definitely looking forward to some Cacophony covers too.
Hey, not sure about the guitar, but you are a shredding machine for sure ) Kiesel should be proud you're playing their axes. I'm totally for the headless guitars. El guitar is an innovation by definition. Why to keep the unnecessary parts (e.g. the head-stock) or to place the bridge in the middle of the body as if it (substantially) increased sustain? Would you change anything in this particular model? If so, what would it be? Does Kiesel have the weird neck back as Strandberg EndurNeck? Could you pls review a baritone guitar(s) in future. Finish-wise - i'd go for the natural/wood bodies.
More Marty and Jason would be great. After you play this a couple weeks compare it to your numbers guitar. The headless feel is oddly appealing. However from a fan perspective, watching someone play on a guitar with a headstock seems more energetic. I’d love for a cover of Lost Symphony Take Another Piece;)
Jamie, How is it that a headless guitar with a trem, without a locking nut / or locking tuners stay in tune especially when really working that trem like you did in this video?
Bit flashy, isn't it? I like a nice, brown or neutral gray guitar with no jarring angles or surprise features, strummed calmly offstage by a quiet person in a dark suit.
A little bit suprised at the loud clicking noise when switching pickups. As for the looks, who cares? If it's comfortable to play and sounds good then why the hell not.
Would love to see some Revocation covers on this guitar
Hell yea Revocation, need to see the deathless covers
Dude...THAT GUITAR!!! I too have a soft spot for anything with a maple fretboard...but the red brings it to another level. I love it!!
Thanks! I haven’t put it down yet 😂

please cover cacophony, I think you're the one that got me into them.
It looks sick bro
3:42 this isn’t a cacophony song but it would be so awesome to see an eleven blue egyptians cover since marty is also on that song
Cacophony covers would be so awesome man
That clean tone ...
Absolutely do some Cacophony!
100% in the Name of God solo on this guitar!

Nice! I absolutely love mine 😁

I use a baritone .074 for the low string :)

I love the D-activators in my 7 string guitars.

Marty also played the x style Carvin on his first instructional vid!
"Lets have some fun with it..." is a statement to having F U money. That's great, dude. You deserve it.
Will never forget the black and green ibanez ✨, came for a review of the dimarzio pickups, stayed and subbed for the sick playing. 🤘🏼
Cacophany would be incredible, as would some Rust in Peace stuff!
Can you do the Steve Vai solo on "Ego Death" from Polyphia? 😊
Dude, I started using the ClipLock straps when I got my MKH Les Paul and I love them. I bought a second one for my Jackson.

Happy for you Jamie! Some day i will buy some superstrat with tremolo bridge. Now i have 2 guitars with fix bridges, need more fun tricks on guitar.
Cacophony covers will be sick!
thats awesome dude congrats
Beautiful guitar! For some reason, this x style is the only headless guitar I think looks better without a headstock
Jamie, How is it that a headless guitar with a trem, without a locking nut / or locking tuners stay in tune especially when really working that trem like you did in this video?
Technically it is a locking nut where the strings are locked at the top of the headstock. Stays in tune beautifully!
Sick guitar! Great playing too.
I'd play that for sure. I'd love a green one with roasted maple neck and richlite fretboard. Maybe if I sell a few... awesome guitar congrats on NGD.
They don’t offer roasted necks on neck throughs
@@ShpongleSquirrel doh!
X ray eyes solo is going to be the perfect split screen cover
What a cool guitar. I wish I had money for guitar😢
same man.. same
That guitar is awesome 😎
X-cellent!!!
Do a shred version Rocking Robin and other old school songs montage, the Charleston twist etc.
if I get another 7 or 8 string, it'd be a Type-X for sure. Already have two Kiesel 7s though so shouldnt get more..
“Shouldn’t”… 😂
I hate the explorer, I hate the Ibanez & ness types of these guitars but I fkn love this lol
excited for cacophony
7:57 almost got yourself a copyright strike
I just can’t get behind headless guitars 😢. To each their own! New guitar day is always good 🤘
Здравствуйте! Тоже, хотел заказать подобную. Но, в нашу страну нет доставки...

Got a strong, Marty Friedman Cacophony era vibe, except in a 7 string! Badass man!!
haha should have watched the video before commenting 🤣
and YES to a Cacophony cover! Go Off please!!
😂😂 maybe I chose it subconsciously 😆
shredtastic
duality by slipknot!🤘👌
you can never have enough guitars :))
All that money and a gig bag no case.
The case is so strong Kiesel made a video dropping a guitar off the roof of their factory and the guitar was perfectly fine. Best cases I’ve owned 😊👍
That's awesome someday
I think with your skill you can get away with any guitars 😂 you can bring that to a wedding and when you perform people will accept it lol
cool
Play some Jeff Loomis on It.
A little bit suprised at the loud clicking noise when switching pickups.
As for the looks, who cares? If it's comfortable to play and sounds good then why the hell not.
Headless guitars scare me
Not a fan of the aesthetic to be honest, But I'm rather old.🙂
What about the guitar giveaway they said today a winner would be picked starting to think it's a scam
Zager is picking a winner since it’s done through their site 👍
I'm confused though I read the rules and they said they have nothing to do with the giveaway
I don't have a guitar and have been playing for 30 years I was really looking forward to it but now I don't know
@@jasonwallace8715It doesn’t say that. They’re the ones hosting the contest. And there’s been almost 7,000 submissions
Where can I send you a pic I took a screen shot that proves you have no clue what your talking about
Personally I think headless guitars just look stupid. Just my honest opinion. I'm sure it's very ergonomic tho
