I've got three Kiesel guitars from when they were still called Carvin. All three custom ordered by me. Two are neck through body. All three have Wilkinson tremelos. Two have gold hardware and one has black hardware. I replaced the Kiesel pickups with either hot Gibson ones or other after market ones. They are better than anything then or now made by Gibson (of which I have four) or Fender (of which I have three). Believe me.
What a beautiful SCB! Right now my main two most played Kiesel models are my A2 and K Series. Hands down the best bolt on and neck thru I've ever played! Looking at a single cut for my next one so thinking of trying SCB or CS6 next.
That's beautiful, looks classic yet modern. I've always wanted a kiesel. I played a old Carvin model as a younger player and was blown away by how easy it was to play. Enjoy that axe friend
Pretty confident I would never have picked that color combination, but it really looks awesome. Also, I understand how you feel about headless guitars because they just didn't look right to me either. That said, I ordered a Zeus over the summer and it quickly became my favorite guitar. It weighs 5.5 lbs and is incredibly ergonomic to play. I work from home and keep it next to my desk so I can noodle during boring meetings and such.
Absolutely awesome. As someone previously said in the comments, I would have never picked those colors - but now that I’ve seen them in this configuration….Im going to need to be restrained, or else I’ll be ordering a new guitar 😂 Combining elements of modern and vintage really worked here! Oh…and the pickups are rad. Perfect choice 😃
I have a file saved on my desktop for an olive burst with black burst edges for well over a year now. I couldn't determine if I wanted gloss or not, but this thing looks mean!
@@64siskat96 You mean you haven't seen the video? Look it up. They basically sent the customer a sub-par guitar with a piece of roasted maple that Harley Benton would be embarrassed to use and then when the guy complained Jeff did a Facebook Live from the factory calling the guy a "fucking idiot" and an "asshole who doesn't know what he's talking about". The funniest bit is that the guy was a long-term customer and this was like his 12th guitar or something - though most of them were bought under Carvin before greasy Jeff took over. Of course, Kiesel apologists try to act like this is no big deal, like the boss of any guitar company would livestream to call their customers assholes and idiots. Newflash guys, Jeff isn't going to give you a discount on your next cumburst just because you defended the company's honour online.
I have noticed myself preferring even the PRS 10" radias fretboard more recently. The 25" scale is kind of a sweet spot also. But I think the width and taper of the fretboard, has a major impact on how the radias feels. The way the fretboard edges are rolled and the fret ends are dressed, make all the difference. 13.8" inch radias is actually perfect on a narrow neck like an ESP. If Gibson tried to build a LesPaul Standard 50's, with that flat of a fretboard. It'd be unplayable. So it all depends? That's why I have 10 guitars that are all wildly different from each other. Variety is the spice of life! Peace!
Interesting story about the fretboard radius. And I agree about the 25 inch neck. It's more comfortable than longer or even shorter scales. Can you tell what would be the ideal radius for a 7 string guitar? I had three 7 string guitars one with, 20 inch fretboard, other with 16 and the other with 14. Still I cant figure out theoratically what is most comfortable. I know one thing that 20 is way too flat so I would never go above 17 inch (Ibanez style).
The gloss on the neck is a must for me, or is it the satin option? . I am not a fan of the tung oil look especially on nice woods. The Gloss just looks so much better and makes grain pop. My hands are very dry so I never have an issue with sticky gloss necks and actually have more issues with natural. But Kiesel charges a lot to go with a satin neck and it's something you see on literally every other guitar out there so it's odd it cost so much.
Nice! Jeff was recently saying they were discontinuing that Holdsworth headstock design and will be doing something of a redesign for it soon. I don't know it by sight well enough, is that the updated shape already?
Yeah, that was one of the things I wanted to try with the model to look more like the Leia guitar. They offer a lot more than the builder has but you have to call or email them with what you’re looking for.
They have *so many* different options for every different style. I highly encourage you to mess around on the online guitar builder. You may be surprised.
Only thing I would have changed is that I wouldn’t have done the natural binding. Looks fine, but not for me. Also, different pickups. I really dislike the tone zone. Too dark and smooth for me. It’s not the greatest for aggressive rhythms…seems more meant for lead playing.
You naiped it A flat , not carved top , no tilt back on the neck slight head angle Strings go straight to posts And a good trem bridge Super Jumbos for me tho
My dude a custom made American Fender, Gibson, or PRS will cost you 6,000 dollars (probably more) for absolutely bare bones specs. They don’t come standard with carbon fiber reinforcements in the neck and stainless frets either
On the off chance you monitor comments soon after a video I need to ask a question. On your patreon there's a guitar giveaway video that doesn't play there and directs to TH-cam where it's been removed. It features the giveaway and subtle praise of a Zager brand guitar. What is the deal with that giveaway? Do you promote Zager? Do you know they are a fraudulently managed company? Do you not research brands before promoting them? You would have little credibility if you don't and if you legitimately promoted Zager for a paycheck of some kind I'm not sure you have any credibility

A truly great guitar like that truly belongs in your hands
Your playing is phenomenal.
THAT is GORGEOUS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I totally have the same taste, I love traditional looking guitars with a mix of modern features.
2:33 These are really nice looking guitars!🎸 Thanks for sharing them Jamie!😊
That's a beautiful guitar, man. I have a couple Kiesels myself and they're the best guitars I've ever played.
You've got some serious taste! Extremely GORGEOUS guitar!

As an owner of an Aries and a DC127, I think an SCB of that look is in my future. Stunning spec choices! That color with the binding is sick!
New Guitar Day is always a great day!
It’s always new guitar day over in Jamie Land.

I love the “binding”. So beautiful.
Kiesel has clean and spotless designs and this guy has a deep relationship with it.
I have two Kiesel Guitars, they are all I play. My pic to has me holding one I built. Yours is gorgeous.

That is GORGEOUS!!!

Nice! Congrats! 😁🤘
Really nice guitar!! Congrats!!

I love the colour! My favourite solid colour they offer 😁
Awesome instrument.
It looks like three guitars glued on each other
looks great! But the Les Paul one is still my favorite :)
It's a good thing you like it, or Jeff Kiesel might have done a livestream from the factory to call you an idiot.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 god damn my kiesel is poorly balanced. Sucks to play live.
is that what he does?😂
@@64siskat96he hasn’t done that in years lol he apologized. People refuse to move on or let someone redeem themselves. It’s pathetic.
@ ngl its kinda funny tho

SCB would absolutely be the model I'd choose
Kiesel = DA GOAT
there's a sick pink Kiesel I saw on marketplace today near me for a good price that I might buy
Wow!!!
that is a gem
That victory amp is great
I put a Tone Zone and and Air Norton in my Aries. Much better.
Cool!!!!
Totally killer!
I too would like to receive several custom guitars to help me decide on a signature

@@chocolatecookie8571 sorry boss. I'd just use a bass. 7 strings aren't my thing. 13.8" inch fretboard radias is as flat as I'd want on one. Peace!
This is quite the dandy guitar!
Which amplifier ?Victor.....
nice guitar Jamie
Yes, stunning, but what is it cost. I'm retired and live off of my SSI only... damn that is beautiful for sure!!! ¡¥¡
The only thing I would do is take it to a workshop and have the neck turned to satin, the look of this guitar is beaut

How did you get the pickup selector on top? I don’t see that as an option.

may i ask what mm is the nut width?

what scale length did you go? sorry if i missed it in the video
looks like standard 25.5
A nice kind of natural tone… kerranggggggmmmmmmmphhhh .. fantastic guitar tho
Looks like a poo fly color
dude its looks like a AJ build...
I considered an scb forever but imo Kiesel has no headstock that fit this guitar. Cool guitar nonetheless. Interesting specs.
